Yup. 57yo metal head who hasnt missed a Priest tour since 81. These ladies became my favorite band back when this video came out in 2021. Live show on my bucket list. I like many bands...but I LOVE Lovebites. Their repertoire covers ALL metal forms from the 80s-90s except screaming(thank goodness.)
I live in the USA. There are so many good metal bands touring right now, you just need to keep on the lookout. The best part is that most concerts are at smaller venues that make the shows so fun and personal. LOVEBITES is on tour this summer and hopefully will announce more US dates.

Congratulations, you just found the most talented metal band to come along in decades. In their first five years of existence, they put themselves on par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. They recently went on a year-and-a half hiatus while they waited out the pandemic and searched for a new bassist, after their founder and original bassist left the band for personal reasons. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed a little more than half of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics and is also getting involved in composing. In mid-2021, Miho left the band she had founded, for personal reasons. They went on hiatus while they searched for a new bassist, and during that time, two of them had babies, even as the band were writing and rehearsing their new album. They recently announced the new bassist, Fami, who is a young phenom and herself a composer and multi-instrumentalist. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance was that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like crazy). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. They do a good mix of Power Metal & Thrash Metal and throw in some really sweet 70s-80s style Metal & Rock Ballads and you got Lovebites. In Japan, the Beatles' first concert in Japan about 50 years ago triggered a band boom, especially among young people. This has continued to the present day, with more than 100 female bands alone. One of the top groups is LOVEBITES. In Japan, the competition for survival is fierce, and being a good performer is not enough to become famous, so all groups are trying to stand out. LOVEBITES chose the color "white," which was considered taboo in the metal scene up to that time. Of course, there was a risk of being rejected and isolated from others, but "even if people don't accept us and we become a lone wolf, it doesn't matter," they dared to choose a white feminine stage costume, and the wolf became the symbol of the band. The humans bitten by them would then call themselves the "WolfPack".

So far LOVEBITES have released 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of DVD/Blu-ray live recordings. Back in 2018/2019 LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe, including appearances at the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. In 2018 they also won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band. Then came covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. After a break LOVEBITES came back with new bassist Fami and new song „Judgement Day“ in late 2022. A new album with the same title came out in February 2023. This year in June LOVEBITES‘ first world tour starts in Europe. In September they will play their biggest headline show ever in Tokyo. Slayer, DragonForce and Iron Maiden walk into a bar. 10 minutes later Lovebites walk out. It's not a joke, just a close approximation of what seems to have happened. So given what you listed as music you like, this band is ENTIRELY for you. Lovebites do Thrash metal, Power metal, Speed metal, Fun / Happy metal, Symphonic metal (ish), Metal ballads, 80s synth cheese metal, a little closer to rock but still metal, the occassional cover Also there are very few bands where you could basically pick any song and win. Yup. 57yo metal head who hasnt missed a Priest tour since 81. These ladies became my favorite band back when this video came out in 2021. Live show on my bucket list. I like many bands...but I LOVE Lovebites. Their repertoire covers ALL metal forms from the 80s-90s except screaming(thank goodness.)
I live in the USA. There are so many good metal bands touring right now, you just need to keep on the lookout. The best part is that most concerts are at smaller venues that make the shows so fun and personal. LOVEBITES is on tour this summer and hopefully will announce more US dates.

Congratulations, you just found the most talented metal band to come along in decades. In their first five years of existence, they put themselves on par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. They recently went on a year-and-a half hiatus while they waited out the pandemic and searched for a new bassist, after their founder and original bassist left the band for personal reasons. They announced the new bassist in October 2022 (see below) and dropped their first new song on December 22. Their new album, “Judgement Day”, was released two months later.
They did their first live performances in more than two years in summer of 2023, with their new bassist Fami. Their very first show was commemorated on the DVD “Knocking on Heaven’s Gate”. They have posted four performances from that DVD:

Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet).
Miyako has composed a little more than half of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics and is also getting involved in composing.
In mid-2021, Miho left the band she had founded, for personal reasons. They went on hiatus while they searched for a new bassist, and during that time, two of them had babies, even as the band were writing and rehearsing their new album. They recently announced the new bassist, Fami, who is a young phenom and herself a composer and multi-instrumentalist. The instrumentalists studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance was that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining.
They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like crazy). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band."

LOVEBITES is a five-piece all-female, Japanese heavy metal band with deep musicianship (plus classical music/piano background). In 2020, their career was abruptly interrupted by Corona. But they masterfully overcame the crisis, got married and had babies. In Japan, the Beatles' first concert in Japan about 50 years ago triggered a band boom, especially among young people. This has continued to the present day, with more than 100 female bands alone. One of the top groups is LOVEBITES.
In Japan, the competition for survival is fierce, and being a good performer is not enough to become famous, so all groups are trying to stand out.
LOVEBITES chose the color "white," which was considered taboo in the metal scene up to that time. Of course, there was a risk of being rejected and isolated from others, but "even if people don't accept us and we become a lone wolf, it doesn't matter," they dared to choose a white feminine stage costume, and the wolf became the symbol of the band. The humans bitten by them would then call themselves the "WolfPack".

They play Eclectic Metal. It means they blend as the first band in history all kind of metal mainly power and thrash with NWOBHM,
heavy metal, symphonic metal, speed metal,hair metal, hard rock, rock, rock'n'roll, jazz, progressive pieces, funk and even punk. Here some information about them:
The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album came out in 2017. So far LOVEBITES have released 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of DVD/Blu-ray live recordings.
Back in 2018/2019 LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe, including appearances at the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. In 2018 they also won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band.
Then came covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. After a break LOVEBITES came back with new bassist Fami and new song „Judgement Day“ in late 2022. A new album with the same title came out in February 2023.
This year in June LOVEBITES‘ first world tour starts in Europe. In September they will play their biggest headline show ever in Tokyo. After that LOVEBITES will have their US debut …

She has an amazing vocal range and vibrato, writes most of the lyrics, also did parts of the song writing for their latest 2 albums, she is a former ballerina and RnB/soul singer

She is the musical brain of the band, main composer and arranger, a soulful but also shreddy guitar player and concert level pianist, furthermore she is a gear nerd
Midori on guitars (crazy shredder):
Incredibly fast and technical guitar player, has contributed to songwriting for a few of their songs, also she is a body fitness athlete
Haruna on drums (little big engine):
Plays very fast pace over long distances, she is very efficient and her stamina is admirable, the cymbal work is outstanding, she also wrote one of their songs including lyrics, creates handmade miniature fake food

Absolute bass prodigy with outstanding technique, she speaks faster than sonic speed as she plays and smiles non-stop

The girls made their major label debut in 2017 (March 24) with "THE LOVEBITES EP".
On 18 June 2018, LOVEBITES won '🏆BEST NEW BAND' at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods 2018 awards organised by the British metal magazine METAL HAMMER.
On 4 August, LOVEBITES performed on the W.E.T stage at WACKEN OPEN AIR 2018, one of the world's largest annual metal festivals in Germany, with the 10,000 capacity venue almost full.

On August 20,2018, LOVEBITES announced that it has partnered with X-ray Touring, one of the largest players in the UK booking agent industry.

LOVEBITES performed as a support band for "Arch Enemy's China tour at the Shanghai show on March 23 and the Beijing show on March 24, 2019".
LOVEBITES participated in "dowload Festival 2019(June 15)".

LOVEBITES join DragonForce on UK tour 2019(Nov. 2-14).
On 2 December 2019, LOVEBITES was the support act for the Tokyo leg of Halestorm's Japan tour.

The remaining girls organised an audition for a new bassist from around the world and recruited a new bassist called Fami(Ba).
Fami is a five-string bassist who can dance, sing and play and has 695,000 RUclips subscribers.

Estas mujeres, estas chicas, estas damas, estas diosas, me tienen esclavizado y subyugado.Tengo 60 años y desde 1975 estoy comprando y escuchando heavy, y ya estaba hasta los huevos de los mismos tipos viejos cantando viejas canciones que todas sonaban igual, o el espantoso thrash y todo eso....y llega el metal femenino japonés y lo revoluciona todo. Alegría, optimismo, buen rollo, elegancia y belleza....y entre ellas la flor más hermosa, la reina elfa, la princesa de cuento de hadas, mi adorada y venerada Asami, que sólo mirarla hace que me derrita.

Nemophila, Rolling Quartz, Aldius, Bridear, Mary's Blood, Mardelas, Gacharic Spin.. Son todas bandas femeninas de rock/hard rock /metal)
Junto con Lovebites, Nemophila y Asterism son mis preferidas.
Si nos cambiamos de continente, en Europa tambien hay bastantes buenas bandas, sobre todo de power metal o metal sifónico. (tampoco soy fan de los gruñidos)
Bandas como Sabaton, Epica, Nightwish, Ad Infinitum, Ayreon (proyecto conjunto con varios cantantes de metal cantando la musica del mismo compositor) Liv Sin, Follow the Cipher, Elysion, Lyriel, los australianos Ne Obliviscaris.. y los españoles WARCRY o Saratoga...
No tengo un genero que me aprisione.. El unico genero de musica que no escucho es el reguetón de las narices.

Another one bitten! Slayer and Kreator riffs galore in this one. Dragonforce in this song not so much except for the solos but they can definitely Dragonforce with the best of em! Slayer, DragonForce and Iron Maiden walk into a bar. 10 minutes later Lovebites walk out. It's not a joke, just a close approximation of what seems to have happened.
So given what you listed as music you like, this band is ENTIRELY for you. Lovebites do Thrash metal, Power metal, Speed metal, Fun / Happy metal, Symphonic metal (ish), Metal ballads, 80s synth cheese metal, a little closer to rock but still metal, the occassional cover
Also there are very few bands where you could basically pick any song and win. But Lovebites is one of those bands. Lives are better than MVs, but MVs are still great
