can you guys review the new highlander nightshade
This was helpful when we bought our 2023 Sienna
Both cabins are so spacious! 😊
It seems like the Palisades is the only 3 row SUV priced around $50k that has the ventilated seats in the back and massage chairs in the front. Are there any other SUVs with these specs ?
The Palisade will be refreshed soon and have all of the newer Hyundai technology.
Omg this my fav car ever!!! Wonderful vid and y’all looking good today God bless y’all and happy Easter!❤
Thanks so much!! We appreciate it!
Great review! The one I've been waiting for!
Glad you liked it!
I just got a 2024 Palisade Calligraphy and I love it! Coming from a 2017 Santa Fe Luxury...
For me it fits the bill, we are grand parents and we don't need all the extra storage... We now have space for a full family vacation 😊.
The driving experience and interior (light grey & dark blue) is luxurious, I do wish it had wireless carplay but it's not a show stopper... I do love the driver massage feature 😊
So cool thanks for showing cars! ❤
Just the Video i was looking for
It'll be easy to trade in my 2019 when ready
Love your video
Excellent comparison as always, hope you all had a nice Easter!!
Thanks so much, same to you!
The Palisade is much wider, I agree the design is older. On our test drive of both the Palisade was much quieter and the ride is far more supple. The palisade handles the rough roads up here in the Midwest much more gracefully than the Santa Fe. The Santa Fe does not even offer acoustic glass in the second row. I would love to see you guys do sound tests at 40mph and 70mph. I feel as though 55 is no longer a valid speed traveled by most people on most trips. At 70mph there was a noticeable difference between the two and the Palisade won with ease for us.
I was comparing both and now have plans to suggest the Pallisade to my aunt and uncle for their next car, it feels more premium and it's been out for longer meaning the issues are more likely to be irorned out, SantaFe does look cooler but the SEL has a manual front passenger seat while the Pallisade SEL has a power one
Palisade has the Automatic transmission... While Santa Fe is DCT. That alone is enough reason to avoid the Santa Fe.
@@jmartyt9810 that too, the Pallisade has been out for some time so most of the major issues are already ironed out for 2024
@@CarGeek360 do not get me wrong, love the look of the new Santa Fe. But for a family of 5 with 2 dogs, the Palisade is much more comfortable. My wife loves her Hyper White Calligraphy Night Edition. So much so she no longer asks me to drive on long trips. The longer wheel base and the the much larger sidewall also helps the ride. I also agree I about the DTC, if I bought a Santa Fe it would only be a hybrid. But the 3.8L V6 has been in the Hyundai stable for a long time and has proven reliable.
@@silverwrx03 I find the SantaFe to be the better looking of the two on the outside however I also find the Pallisade the more upscale of the two on the inside, both are great choices but I would personally take the Pallisade over the SantaFe
Very nice review guys. Congrats.
Thanks so much!
@carconfections Thanks a lot for your videos on Santa Fe 2024.....it is because of your detailed videos I bought my Cyber Sage SEL variant Santa Fe 2024 yesterday. Thank you
Congrats! I hope you enjoy it!
Glad we could be of help! Enjoy the new ride!
I’m in Australia and we Havnt got the Santa Fe here yet but I’ve watched all your videos on it and I’m pretty sold. I have a 12 year old car and looking to upgrade end of year when the Santa fe is due. It wins for me cause of the hyrid option.
The recall Queens together.
I have the ‘24 black night calligraphy. Will trade that in, when the new Palisade body style comes out.
I am waiting to see what the new Palisade will look like. My plan is to purchase one of these 2 for family of 4
I would pick the Hyundai Santa Fe! Looks nice and different
I’m willing to bet the palisade will get the new interior in the 2025 model. Then it will be interesting to see how they compare and what they ultimately do with it.
I’m on my third Santa Fe and my 4th Hyundai. I have a Limited 2021 now and am struggling so hard with the design of the new 2024. I’m considering switching to the Pallisade this year!
The back of the SF remind me of those damn 80s quirky Japanese minivans
love my Santa fe.
white & black calligraphy
look good 👍
I just went through this and bought the palisade night edition. There is not enough space behind the 3rd row of the Santa Fe.
Helpful
Glad we could help!
Both! I got the calligraphy palisade my wife has the limited santa fe
What about the double towing capability of the palisade!
Hyundai Santa Fe FTW
It is the cooler looking of the two
This video came a couple of days late lol, I was cross-shopping these 2 on the internet (but SEL versions) to see which one I wanted to recommend to my aunt and uncle for a potential new car purchase. I chose the Palisade and this video confirmed that I made the right decision. Don't get me wrong the new SantaFe is a fabulous product but I personally find the Palisade to be a more upscale vehicle (SantaFe is more modern however) and the Palisade has been out for some time meaning that the major issues have already been ironed out. I'd still be concerned about reliability with the new SantaFe. I do like the idea of a hybrid SantaFe however and I do find it to be the better looking vehicle of the two but the Palisade is more spacious and the SantaFe SEL lacks a power front passenger seat which the Palisade SEL comes with. I built a Palisade SEL with AWD yesterday and the MSRP was just under $43k which imo is a solid number for that SUV. The one element that made the choice tough was the SantaFe's supeirior fuel economy to the Palisade but the Palisade does treat us to a nice V6 over the SantaFe's 4 cylinder. Both are great cars however and it all comes down to personal preference but if you want something reliable the Palisade is the only way to go between these two. The Palisade has been out for 4 years meaning most of the major issues have been ironed out by now where as the SantaFe only came out recently.
You guys are best when comes to compare .. probably Santa Fe will be my next target 😊
Thank you, friend!
I bought the Santa Fe limited edition but I sure do wish it had 18-in rims smoother ride. Don't have to worry about damaging the tires when my wife jumps curbs and it needs more functionality for the infotainment center on the steering wheel. Not enough buttons to do much with
Hyundai is definitely on to something with the Santa Fe BUT I just want to know who signed off on the back of it because it’s hideous back there.
Fr that back shouldn’t even have been a thought.
Nah…
I felt the same way at 1st but honestly the back grew on it, honestly I really like the way the new SantaFe looks
On the bright side no one is tailgate one of these in the road..
@@Jeez001 I wish this was actually true but sadly tailgaters are not gonna care what the back of your car looks like, they just want to be rude on the road
Palisade vs grand highlander plz❤
That'd be a great comparison too
Noted! Stay tuned!
Yes we need that one
@@jeffvance1271 for sure
Can't wait for the Palisade Hybred
Why is no one talking about/mentioning that the 2nd row in the sante fe doesn’t have its own climate control and is forced to be the same as the front row 😭
They did. In the beginning it says it has dual zone not three zone
Where can you time stamp it pls I couldn’t find it and in all sante fw reviews no one mentioned it I watched multiple
@@Pj-ps2znaround 8:20
@@user-qj6yb8tb9v oh thx your right but in all other reviews it wasn’t mentioned it’s very easy to not realize because when they go to the rear row they should’ve pointed it out.
@@Pj-ps2zn You are right did not think about it that way at all
As soon as the Palisade is upgraded, then i will go for the Palisade next year. even without the upgrade i would go for the Palisade, but i have to save a little bit more before i can cash it, so better to wait till the 25 year modell comes out, or just an upgrade modell.
Hyundai Santa Fe for me
I'll take the Santa fe
I find the Pallisade to be a more premium vehicle (on par with something like a MDX or Q7 for say) but the SantaFe does look cooler, I also love Hundayi's new KeyFob, all comes down to personal preference atp
I prefer Hyundai Santa Fe as it's cool exterior design
Make a comparison of the odyssey elite vs Pilot elite pls!!
Noted! Thanks for the suggestion!
What is the destination fee for??
Destination is charged for the cost to ship the car from the factory to the destination where it will sell.
Just another gimmick to tack on more cost
@@short5stick that’s what I thought because what’s the point if it’s at the lot already unless you actually order it from another place.
I'm seriously considering the Santa Fe, but we know you had your issue with yours and your transmission. How's that been going with your vehicle? Also, the controversial issue is really if you take the spare tire off the Land Rover, that's what Santa Fe is. Outside of that, I think the Santa Fe is the clear winner. Bolder and more modern, which will hold it's value longer, just by styling and tech alone. Reliability, from the manufacturing process, that's always up in the air, with any manufacturer post Covid. Most of them are terrible in build quality, but that's in all verticals of manufacturing. Great video nevertheless guys. Appreciate all that you do. I will be checking your invoice pricing tool in my market.
I will always like the Hyundai Palisades that is the SUV
When they both become available to test drive the new gen 2024 Chevy Traverse vs the 2025 Refreshed Ford Explorer is a comparison you guys must do! That would be a very interesting show down…
Absolutely!
I’m going to see if there is a difference in the lease ,they both look great
did you find out if there is a difference for leasing? I am looking to lease
The Santa Fe in my opinion is much better. The palisade just has that 2015 look that makes the Hyundais not appealing. The new design on the Santa Fe equipped with the tech and features is exactly what they needed. Just purchased ours and am loving it!
Compare the new 3 row traverse with the Santa Fe.
Santa Fe is for me!
After this, make a comparison between the Kia Telluride and the Kia Sorento
Noted!
@@CarConfections thanks
@@CarConfections Thank you! 🙂
Where’s the comparison that I’ve been waiting for, Sorento vs Telluride?
These are really good choices for a 3-row SUV, but here's my question, "why should i buy a santa fe when i can buy a palisade which does LITERALLY the same thing".
I think the Santa Fe wins at the XRT or SEL level. The XRT needs the 360 camera added to be an overwhelming value. The engine is fast but somewhat unrefined and the DCT tranny makes no sense. It’s simply not a $50k vehicle. The Palisade, at the Limited level, is around $47k before any discounts. V6 and a reliable tranny make it the clear winner. Guessing that Palisade redo will result in a minimum $5k increase to every model when it happens.
Toyota Transmission Complaints to NHTSA
The variety of transmission complaints related to these Toyota vehicles have not yet triggered a safety recall from the NHTSA, which regulates auto safety in the US. If enough similar complaints do eventually arise, the NHTSA would initiate an investigation to determine a cause and enforce a resolution from Toyota. That has not happened to date, however.
As an example of the types of complaints Toyota owners are making, here’s a closer look at the 2018 Toyota Sienna on the NHTSA website.
Some owners report that the vehicle fails to accelerate when they depress the gas pedal, which could potentially create a safety hazard when merging onto a freeway. Owners also report that the 2018 Toyota Sienna will randomly decelerate when cornering.
Numerous owners have complained that the issue only happens when “Eco” mode is engaged, and lament the fact that there is no way to turn this feature off.
Is that new OS in the 2024 Telluride as well?
Not yet, it should be come the next major update
Palisade❤
You didn’t mention one of the biggest differentiating facts about these two. Only the Santa Fe has wireless CarPlay.
The Santa Fe was given points for both its better software and wireless abilities at around 9:30
DeFender Sport aka Santa Fe!
Santa Fe largely cause it’s cheaper and comes in a hybrid.
Palisade's front view look like venue 😂
The santa fe looks like it was designed with legos. It also comes in the four trims with no package options as with all hyundai vehicles which is a huge let down. Hopefully once the 2025 comes things change slightly I love santa fe
Palisade are very Korean Design while Santa Fe are very British design
Santa Fe designer will be looking for a new job in 6 months...
Dual clutch is a no go.
I wonder if a dual clutch will last 130,000 mi without any problems before it's worn out. I think they know if it makes it to 100 it won't make it past that much more
@@short5stick depends how you drive it. If you drive soft you probably get more miles on it. If you use manual shifts and drive aggressively then expect much earlier.
Those seats are good for slim people only! I tried them all and they are terrible for a long rides.
Palisade
Yeah I was researching both and am going to suggest the Pallisade to my aunt and uncle for their next car, I built a Pallisade yesterday and sent it to my cousin who loved the interior, they like the new MDX but it's out of their budget
@@CarGeek360 that sounds good. Palisade is a good car with nice features for the price
@@Car_conversati0nz oh for sure, the trim level I’m recommending is the SEL AWD without the premium pkg which has a MSRP of $42,795, it really is a solid product for the money, and I’m not concerned about reliability as the Pallisade has been out for 4 years meaning most of the major issues have already been ironed out
I love my Palisade, especially with the blacked out grill. I don’t really care for the chrome look of the calligraphy. I need the size of the Palisade, and wouldn’t choose the Santa Fe.
The price is too close
Palisades is better for two reasons: 3.8L V6 and 8 speed automatic. I think both are better than the 2.5 L Turbo and DCT.
I bought one and that's the only thing I'm concerned with is the transmission. Why couldn't they stuck an 8-speed or a 9-speed automatic traditional? I don't get it. They would have sold. Probably double the vehicles with a traditional automatic
Backside view of santafe is a design disaster atleast for a few people
Palisade exterior design is going to hold up a lot better than the Santa Fe. 5 years from now i think we will be viewing SF the same way we look at Ford flex or pt cruiser. Novelty.
Palisade is far better than Santa Fe, no comparison.
직진도 못하는 멋진차 펠리세이드
The Palisade is light years better looking
Santafe is almost like a child of an old ford flex.
Despite the santa fe’s impressive features, I like the palisade better. My parents and I all like the palisade better. The size and look of it is something we really liked about it. The santa fe in my eyes is so odd looking to me. Especially in the back and then it looks like its squatting which im not a fan of.
One for the living, the other for the dead.
Ditch th 1.6L hybrid for a 2.5L hybrid. What a crap engine.
The back of Santa Fe is no good. Taillights are too low to he ground.
I swear Hyundai went out their way to design the ugliest key possible for the sante fe. It's even worse in person. I hope the digital key works well!
Major Transmission Issues… DO NOT BUY! Especially not from ThunderBay Ontario… very dishonest company very dishonest management. Make sure you read your contract.
You need to take off 3 points on the Palisade rating because it is flat out ugly.
Y’all need to add some mechanical reviews to these videos! That Hyundai engine and transmission is problematic boo boo!!!! It’s loud and unreliable!!!! Y’all want my hot donk to be stranded cause of these unreliable cars!!!! Y’all best do better boo boo cause my phat cakes are priceless!!!!!
