Good video. Love the Saturday shows out of the studio. Y’all keep it up this channel is one of my favorites. With that being said Hyundai/Kia has had a lot of issues with engine failures. And I mean a lot. Had a friend had his engine replaced under warranty a few weeks back rod bearing failure. When they dropped off their Santa Fe at the dealership they drove around back there was pallets and I mean pallets of blown 4cyl engines that had to be replaced under thankfully warranty.
That engine issue has been going on for over a decade at this point. They faced a class action lawsuit because of it. Steer far away from any Kia/Hyundai product.
Your video pushed my wife over the top on purchasing that exact vehicle. We just got home from the dealer with it. FYI she traded in a KIA EV6 because we feel the writing is on the wall for electrics. That market is crashing fast.

I am a huge Hyundai fan, but getting tired of them putting the 2.5t in EVERYTHING. This truck is beautiful, but so underpowered when compared to the SUVs in this class. Keep it up April you are doing great
Look around, V6 are gone. 2.5 turbo is for emissions standard. Maybe 5 -10 years ago it would be underpowered. This is all you get now from any car maker for a mid size suv
I agree with Hoovie, Hyundai certainly did hit a home run with this iteration of the Sante Fe! Almost(only almost) tempts me to trade in my Sonata for one. BUT, we don't NEED an SUV, even one as cool as this Santa Fe! Plus, the Sonata has ALMOST the same level of high tech gadgetry(even tho it IS 4 years old now...lol)..
Very good review April, the new Santa Fe Calligraphy is a great seller for us. I have sold about 10 including the one you reviewed. I was in the market for a new car last October, saw pictures of the 2024..... and bought a 2023 Santa Fe Calligraphy, Hate the square design, Love what we got.
Hyundai have been copying other cars for years. It's kind of what they do. Ironically, once they've copied a vehicle, they tend to eventually make a better version than the vehicle they copied, and sell it for less. This is why Hyundai are so popular. This Santa Fe looks a great deal like the Land Rover Defender...but it's actually better in every single way, and half the price.
This is one of your better videos for this channel. I'd try to find a way to make this a new car review channel on occasion. The banter here is better than the normal podcast format
Have to give Kia/Hyundai props. They've come so far and now they make some of the best cars in both the EV and ICE categories. But anyone who is buying a Cybertruck, Range Rover, G wagon are doing it for the image, not the quality of the auto.
I worked as a Kia/Used Salesperson over a decade ago. The Sportage I sold to myself, due to the over 12 month wait time... It lives in my area again, over 120,000miles for the less developed countries... no issues. While I had it...Landcruiser had a new engine, Audi had 4 gearboxes... They're good cars...they lack character...but you don't want a characterful vehicle to discover it's personality in the middle of nowhere, loaded up... Kia has the 7 year unlimited warranty here...I think Hyundai have matched it now. But it's all down to styling...and the Sportage has a full size Alloy spare still...which is a BIG deal if you're on a trip with a lot of gear...
Completely false. They make the worst vehicles on the market. Faced a class action lawsuit for over a decades worth of knowingly building failed engines.

April, you're more of a car girl than most women. Most women don't have any idea what a Buick Grand National is. Few who had it in mind to spend 6 figures on a G-wagen of LR would even want to hear about a Hyundai for half the price.
yeah loving the car reviews like this you two. That is a good way to take the channel A&T. desk stuff and these here and there! good stuff! spot on on this vehicle analysis too :)
I'll say it - for those of us who remember when Hyundai debuted in the late 80s, we will always associate them with cheap cars of questionable quality. But, the fact of the matter is that for the past decade or so they've upped their game significantly and now they actually make extremely high quality, darn near luxurious vehicles. Ask someone in their 20s and they'll look at you like you're nuts if you claim Hyundai equals garbage.
April is breathtakingly beautiful, very knowledgeable, bubbly and fun!! The Hyundai is actually very nice and seems well put together! The only things I’d be missing is AWD and a more potent engine! Best wishes ❤
@@JohnDoe-zr6bk Just my personal preference. I actually drive a Range Rover and 2-3 other well motorized cars, and simply prefer larger, stronger, less stressed engines. Best wishes
@@ertgb_ Oh…ok! Guess I slightly misunderstood what Hoovie said. I thought he mentioned that model/version is only available with front wheel drive and that engine. Cheers
Santa Fe should be 2024 car of the year. It’s that good. There is t another vehicle on the market where you get so much for the price. Best value hands down and it’s just a beautiful vehicle. Nice to see some Genesis styling move down to Hyundai. Also the self driving in the Santa Fe is just as good as any other model.
Though I am not into Hyundai, I’ve developed a mad respect for them; they are not stupid. Kia already made a name for themselves and a mint by offering the Great Value Range Rover that is the Telluride. I’ve road tripped a fully loaded Telluride from Kansas City to St. Louis & back and came away highly impressed. So what does sister brand Hyundai do for an encore? Offer a 8/10ths scale Land Rover Defender for half the price. I’m already seeing them pop up all over suburban KC & fully expect they’ll easily sell 150k units per year at minimum. It’s guaranteed to be more reliable & durable than a Land Rover product with an amazing warranty, cheaper parts, and far more mechanics who will work on them. If I need a true 4x4 I’ll get a Toyota, but this is everything an upper middle class suburban family actually needs.

That first Santa Fe while ugly, was very dependable, my sister still drives one with 200,000 plus miles on the original powertrain....... April, keep making reviews we love them!
A nice alternative for a Jeep Grand Wagoneer.
I love how April is so real and adorable. She's not like most social media girls trying to be serious or sexy. April is just jumping over seats exploring. She's great.
Simp
@@latrellwhite6215 lol, nah, it's just refreshing to see a chick on the internet NOT acting like a whore. She's goofy and fun.
April’s shoe game rivals the best of C6 corvette owners.
All jokes aside, I couldn’t be happier for both of these two.
April gun noises! The best!
When April thinks of secret things to hide...
"Fire Crackers?!"
She's a Keeper Hoovie !
the stereo kicked in at the literal last second
Almost 300 ps? What do you need more for? Worse gas mileage?
you can spec it with AWD but no other engine options
@@JohnDoe-zr6bk Just my personal preference. I actually drive a Range Rover and 2-3 other well motorized cars, and simply prefer larger, stronger, less stressed engines.
Best wishes
@@ertgb_ Oh…ok!
Guess I slightly misunderstood what Hoovie said. I thought he mentioned that model/version is only available with front wheel drive and that engine.
Cheers
Informative video as always!Planning on purchasing one in the next few weeks.
I think this is my favorite "celebrity" couple.
Hoovie is living his best life for sure
Santa Fe should be 2024 car of the year. It’s that good. There is t another vehicle on the market where you get so much for the price. Best value hands down and it’s just a beautiful vehicle. Nice to see some Genesis styling move down to Hyundai. Also the self driving in the Santa Fe is just as good as any other model.
That is one sharp looking vehicle wow and cool stuff inside to wow
What is going on in Kanas? First JR and now Hoovie gushing over The Santa Fe. Hyundai spreading the ad buys around the Kanas RUclipsrs
If two RUclipsrs say something positive about a vehicle in the same week, it must be an ad! 😅
Total nonsense.
