Nice, clean mirror you have there. Mine was shit from the Thunder Laser from the get go, corroded. It's only gotten worse with time.

Again I’ve never heard of mirrors corroding ?? Did you take it up with Thunder?

oh something I found out cleaning the lens on another brand laser (before I purchased my Thunder Nova51). The focus lens, looking into the lens - if you can see your face looking back, that is the domed side. So when you install your lens back into the nozzle tube, if you look at the lens (end where the nozzle screws in) and you can see your face, it's in backwards.

Hi, thank you for this video :)
I wonder if it would be good to clean the other side of the beam lens (next the mirror 1)?

If you have a thunder reach out to sales@thunderlaserusa.com the focus lens and mirrors you can get from thunder, Amazon or American photonics.

Do you have part numbers of the spare mirrors and lenses from American photonics that would work on the nova 35. I have all 3 lenses. 2", 4" and HR

One more thing about the cleaning. I cleaned the beam combiner with iso alcohol and it took the gold coating off Is that normal

Hello, I just cleaned my lens and mirror and now when I try to cut a project it says machine protected. Do you know what I might have done? Thank you in advance!

Machine protected error normally means you lid is open or your chiller is off.

Could the lense and mirrors be cleaned in an ultrasonic cleaner?

WOW! I'm really surprised that you have to resort to using some tape to take out the mirror. There has to be a better way to do that. Of course, there is on the more expensive lasers so I guess you pay for that privilege.

Yes and Saving that extra 30 k, so I can buy allot of tape and all the tools I need you can keep you more expensive lasers!
