  • Plenty of GWR action at Bishops Lydeard on the West Somerset Railway. And finally at Williton as the double headed train passes through en route to Minehead. It was particularly pleasant for me to meet personally several Admiralscorner watchers!

      Yes that's how I remembered Kai, very keen and able but young. Now he has matured, and really sprung up in height! its so good to see he is still into trains and taking video.

    Great video,thanks,that sound of the train coming round the shed at about 30.00 brings back so many childhood memories,yes I still want to drive a steam train in my old age.

      It is possible to do that these days if you pay for a group driving experience on the WSR which is held several times a year.

    Very enjoyable video,very busy too.I like to see the youngsters train spotting.Not so many these days ,my son & godsons more interested in computers etc- they didn’t really notice trains when they were young. Lovely to see so many visitors at Bishops Lydeard. And pleased to see you recognised by Admiral’s Corner fans. I think I could smell the smoke & soot!!

    Very well put together as usual.
    It was nice to meet you on Saturday and spend a while in your company at your vantage point on the bridge steps.
    I see your battery let you down again at a crucial point, as you told me it quite often does 😮

    What's not to love about God's Wonderful Railway? Pannier Tank Engine, no. 7754, has emerged from the engine shed at Llangollen. She's had her test run, and will be back in action next weekend. I'll get my ride behind her further down the railway line.

    Mike, your videography is so classy that you even zoomed in to the connecting Buses of Somerset bus, showing a lady alighting. I used that route last year.
    I never doubted you'd bring us the 'Clun' day with your usual aplomb.
    Great to see many at BL for the first down. The first up stopping in the less frequently used Pl.1 at BL wasn't especially 'long', at only six cars: platform is shorter than the normally used Pl.2.
    What a beautifully composed sequence at Williton of the up VT special.
    I assume the parcel/guard's van (coach) and support coach were detached at BL to ensure the remaining eight cars plus two locos could fit in the main platform at Minehead?

    • @ADMIRALSCORNER
      @ADMIRALSCORNER  Год назад +1

      Thanks for the compliments Edmund. It was a tiring day but so rewarding! The disconnections from the original train were I expect because the contents could well have been needed to service the locos staying at BL. The platform at Minehead is quite a long one.
