Very cool 😎 Kenwood makes a component set with 6/9.and middler for these trucks!!!
Very nice!!
Who’s the Grunt that owns this truck! 😂 11Bang Bang Hooah.
Good job
Missed the tuning. How did you tune it? What did you use to tune it?
Hey! We are going to be making a video on that very soon. Stay tuned (get it? 😆) When we release the video, we'll be sure to tag you! Thanks for the comment 🙂
Their ears. And there’s nothing wrong with that. No dsp just level matching and crossovers
Hi so this setup is still a 6 speaker set-up right with just the rears on the amp in the component set is ran off the radio
Correct! Plus one more for the subwoofer. So technically 7 😃
How much does a system like this cost? And where can I get the prefab boxes for the 2500 I have a 24.
Can you turn it up all the way my system clips so it only goes half way due to stock stereo clipping I have alpine 4 channel for the front Sony 3 way components then I have sundown 2000 watts for my custom gately audio ported box with four 8” b2 audio rage subs wired down to 1ohm and have jl audio dsp for the signal just wish it would hit harder then it sounds
Unfortunately the factory HU will always send some sort of distorted signal about the half way point, simply because when they produce these vehicles its more cost effective to put very inexpensive hardware into these vehicles. Any radio no matter after market or factory, it will have a level below max that the radio will begin to produce distortion simply because no radio is 100% efficient! So always tune right below the radio sends a distorted signal, you can check the signal with a o-scope. In regards to your situation I would highly recommend using a line driver of some sort. We use LinkDQ & if you're not familiar with a line driver it can take the input voltage from, lets say 1V, and boost that voltage up to about 10V (LinkDQ) giving you better output and control over your entire system. In simpler terms its a turbo for your amps. On top of that if your box is sealed, try finding or having a ported box fabricated for your vehicle, it'll make a night and day difference when it comes to overall SPL (Sound Pressure Level).
How much was that system installed and all?
The price of this install was around $3,300. Of course the price varies depending on the vehicle and equipment. Great question!
What are those pods called that you use for the Tweeter
We have multiple options for that location that range from 1 inch tweeter to a 3.5 inch point source depending on the application.
How were the amps mounted?
What prefab subwoofer box for the 2023, I’m having trouble finding one myself.
Not going to lie its been difficult getting boxes for a minute. Your best bet is to contact your local mobile electronic store to see if they have any in stock. Your local shop should have an idea where you can source one locally. Also make sure you specify if the vehicle is a crew cab or extended cab.
What did you use to get signal from the OEM HU?
On this truck here we got lucky with it not being the Bose system. Since It was not the Bose system we were able to use the analog signal from the brain of the head unit located in the passenger side kick panel.
So you just tapped into the speaker wires to get signal
@@jamiecoulter1923 Specifically we used an LP5-4 Line Output Converter. Now if your vehicle is equipped with a factory Bose or Bose premium system you'll have to go with some sort of DSP to integrate into the factory head-unit due to All-pass filters on the newer 2020 and up Chevy/GMC vehicles.
What color were the speaker wires you got signal from?
@@YuriColmenero with so many variations of this vehicle not all of them will share the same wire colors. Using alldata is a great tool but even when using alldata you should always double check your connections. Newer vehicles are becoming harder to integrate into. If you would like a video going over wire identification for OEM integration please let us know and we will make one to help you be successful with your install.
