Had a 1966 model just exactly like this one, gas engine, really the same. Did a lot of work with the 350, really miss that machine, they are good machines.
very nice i pick up a 74 IH 500 dozer gas like yours needs a little tlc but engine is perfect 340 hrs on rebuild needs bottom rollers very hard to find any so far best of luck with yours sir
You seem cool! I am a new member of the JD 350 club and look forward to watching all your post. I spent years restoring sports cars but you really cannot use them to have fun without breaking the law. Heavy equipment is quite the opposite.
@@themadmailler And the fact that it was able to haul that crawler just shows how great the Cummins' are. My dad hauled our Cat track loader from our ranch to our house with his 6.0 Powerstroke, and what was usually a 1 1/2 hour trip turned into about 2 hours. And he had the accelerator mashed to the floor.
You are developing quite the fleet there Conner! You'll have one for every day of the week soon. Where did that lonely Ford come from? Don't believe I remember that truck from any of the videos.
Gotta have one of each! Ford was given to me from franko (of course). It needs a little work, when the weather warms up and i feel like laying on gravel underneath a truck there will be some videos of it. It's a sweet little rig, 4x4 auto, f150, 90,000 original miles!
I just bought a John Deere 350 dozer with gas engine, put a new carburator on it but when I raise blade or try to move it the ehgine speeds up like wide open, I figure it's the governor but I've never worked on a governor, can you tell me anything about it?
i haven't found any 350 machines that weren't out of my budget case or deere. Your 310g is going to be pushed to the side just like mine was. haha Are you going to put the single grouser tracks on the dozer and street shoes on the loader?
most all 350's are way overpriced, and cheap ones are beat or need a bottom or something. It's tough because they're super desirable machines since they're small, powerful, and trailered anywhere by a 1 ton pickup. I got lucky with my two machines, also because i waited and wasn't in a rush to buy one. I have $3750 total invested for both of my 350's, and i'll need to spend $1000 for two steering clutches. so, for close to $5000 or the price of one clapped out 350, i'll have two good ones! Not sure what i'll do with the tracks. I think i'll leave it, at least for now.
I would have thought you would have 3 times that in the 2 machines. Ive made a little progress on my 310G in the last few weeks. I put oilite bushings in the hydraulic control handles, injection pump is on and valves are adjusted. need to make new fuel lines next
ok wait wait...3 dozers? a crawler dozer, a pigtail[?] a crawler mc......none is a backhoe?!? now that you have a fleet - you oughta make a gravel lot - more gravel - haha!
I have just bought a 350BB loader and need some info if possible. Does it require 2 batteries and is it wired in series for 24 volt. Or will just one 12 volt start it.
The 310 was in the garage for a couple weeks until i found this machine, then i dragged it back out and it's sitting in the front yard, aging some more. The whole driveline needs a rebuild and that's more work than i'd like to do at the moment.

Great little machines in an era before skid steers to over!
You have all the NEAT big boy toys. Very nice.
Its crazy how close these gas engines sound like the diesels

Three John Deeres and a Sad Case. You have a good start for a museum.
Haha! yes, that is a sad Case. I'm not sure what i'll do with it at this point... We'll see!

right on!
Fuck yeah that thing is killer just needs alittle love.
Nice
nice fine good luck
Good luck finding the cap for the air filter. I've been searching for months!
I'm having the same luck! Might need to make one or something.
Just put a lock washer before the wingnuts ⅜

Is that a Dodge Cummins you're driving? Gotta love those second gen 5.9s.
yup!

@@fordman2698 its a stout truck! Won't win any races, but it beats them all with dependability.

Good looking machine! I like diesels but would have to agree on the cost for sure.
yup! And i've had this machine for just about 24 hours thus far and it's already come in handy to load a big air compressor! Video is coming soon.

Sounds like a governor issue. Maybe no return spring? I've never worked on mine, so all I can say is good luck!
When you gonna start on this one?
been done for a couple years now! it's a workhorse.

I have the same problem with the left steering clutch. How did you fix it?
Check out my other videos, I did a clutch on my 350 dozer.
Where do you buy hydraulic parts for it? I need a system relief valve and can't find one anywhere.
haven't had to buy anything hydraulic, talk to your local JD dealer.

The backhoe is a pigtail, this named because the hoe curls up like a pig's tail!
Anyone know how tight a 450c track should be. I've been putting a 2x4 acrossed it and letting it sag at 2in

12 volt system.
themadmailler thank you
how much does that thing weigh? I got to pick up a 1970's John Deere 350 with a straight blade not a 6 way. Anybody have an Idea what it weighs?
i believe 10,700 lbs.
What year model do you think it is. Thanks
I believe that the straight 350's were made from 1970-74.
@@themadmailler The straight 350s were built from 65 to 70 and the Bs were built from 70 to 74
You like gas better than diesel? Lol oh brother
You officially have a problem lol
For the price i couldn't pass it up!
Agreed! I think George has a line on an 80D you can add you your private collection! The Bishop Farm Museum!!
now THAT would ruin my whole yard pretty fast!
That's cool.... so how's the 310?

You should trade that to me for my 1971 820 jd. Lol
I always liked those 820's, but i have no use for a farm tractor, and a huge one at that!
