Oliver Reed was and still is a British Acting legend and his request too have his Army number engraved into the radiator cap is the right attitude towards those who would have said "you will never amount to anything"
@@marvinthemaniac7698 Compared to a lot of others, they're not really that expensive, just really rare to see one for sale at all (they only made 60 of them). I have a book about eight years old that values them at about £40K for a good one. Even allowing for inflation, they're probably still comfortably under six figures.
@@marvinthemaniac7698 Certainly, but sometimes, rare doesn't automatically mean expensive. They are nothing like as practical as the Jaguars they are based on, and not noticeably better, just different. The demand is quite small, that's why they only made 60.
That's not the ultimate BL Land Crab I initially thought it would be .but I'm blown away surprised how classy it looks .I thought it would be outrageous 70s cheesy and look like a wedding hack retro kit car that's been hacked on a transit chassis .But no it looks fantastic and the colour is gorgeous.Oliver reed obviously had taste .Who would have thought it ?lovely
Nobody would pay 17,000 Rubels for this car today, unless you were some of the stupid nuveau riche in Moscow or some rich son of an oil sheik in the UAE. Showing up with this at a Concours d'Elegance is a sure way to make you laughed at as both clueless and tasteless. I'm sorry but I find these vulgar 70's kit cars downright offensive to taste.
the car owned by cruella de vil.
It would be nice to have Cruella's car and have it Black and White like in the movies lol that would be an awesome car to have!
Cruella De Vil, Cruella De Vil...

I wanted this car at one point.
Still want it now, probably always will!
@@christopherdean1326 I changed my mind when I realized they were super expensive.

@@christopherdean1326 if there are only sixty of them around, they have to be rare collector's items.

Seen it up close, he didn’t mention the steel screen that comes up in the rear window, if required. Not sure why he needed that though.
A guy in Manchester UK who had a car audio shop owned a Blue one "WHO 11" around early 80's.
The number of comments since this was posted is indicative of the interest prevalent in that car....

these were hand built bespoke cars not plastic kit cars
Hang on a minute... he just said that it was a reliable car after stating that it had a Jaguar engine. Something is wrong here.
A wag in every crowd
I’d love to own one 😍
"Most exclusive car in the world" = "We could barely shift any."
They only made 60 of them
Was his number plate NOT 10?
The original number was NOT 10, don't know why - perhaps because you were banned from driving if you had more that 9 points ?
Oliver Reed car; If that car could 'talk'. 😉
Impressively bad video quality.
Is it 4 frames/second ?
Ruined by those Maxi doors...
What with all the other outrageous ostentatious retro goodies to enjoy....nobody notices. Nor does anyone care what kind of car the doors came from
Why is he wearing gloves and a thick anorak? Does this car have aheater?
It has a heater, electric windows and even air-con as standard...….. it drives like a limo with performance when needed.
Put this în NFS
Like a Bugatti?, suppose if it was dark, you had sun glasses on and your sight was failing! It's like driving Donald Trump!
I heard he likes to be pegged.

People who drve these type of cars don't give a shit what people like you think.
What alarms you is the fact that at the concours there will be just as many people gathered round the Panther Deville as your dime a dozen Benz😂
