I remember when Void had legitimate claim to the title of best Ultimate player, back when it was still pretty up in the air. It was _super_ early on but his Pichu was such a dominant force, and the nerfs kinda killed that momentum Void never slipped far but I’m hoping this’ll give him the boost he needs to climb back up to the peak

d throw up air thunder works from 55-70% generally but you can di out. if you grab them at the edge though it can work at like 30% or earlier since you can fastfall offstage with the up air into thunder. another confirm that works from 65-80%~ is d tilt delay fastfall up air into fullhop thunder discharge, this ones hard to get the timing of the up air since you need to jump and THEN up air for it to work since youre trying to land the late hitbox of up air. this covers di and is a really good punish out of jablocks. fslling up air thunder offstage also works snd the rest of the thunder confirms are either niche or very difficult
oh yeah and up tilt thunder works from like 90-to forever as long as you know when to shorthop or fullhop the thunder but a bit of time in the lab should get you used to the feel

I feel like pichu should have like a rage mechanic similar to Lucario (but way more toned down). Maybe like a slightly higher rage multiplier than the default. I just hate how much the self damage builds up
I know this might not amount too much but last couple months I had pichu in elite smash 8 million plus GSP no prob but fell off after trying to do an episode with him...went down to fucking 3 million. after the buff I'm back at seven+ and probably tonight I'll be able to get him back damn in... so I'm pretty sure these buffs are a huge deal if that has anything to go off of

Struggling against Pichu, while common, is just from lack of rounds usually since no one really wants to pick a fighter that literally weighs nothing and hurts themselves more often than not. I don't like facing one but it's like "all good, this is just XP."

I stopped playing Smash Ultimate because Pichu’s nerf was such a kick in the teeth to Pichu mains. I’m still upset they left Pichu hanging like that.
I’m glad that they acknowledged Pichu’s existence, but sadly, I don’t think the buffs were enough to really move him up on the tier list.
