I'm using a brodin proclip with a magsafe charger stuck on using a 3m pad. This video has helped me enormously when it comes to running the cable behind the dash to a hidden additional 12v socket.

It used to take about 20 minutes to get them out but as you can see it’s less than 5 minutes it’s not hard it’s just knowing where the retainers are easier to release and how much pressure to exert
@focusrscarmods9074 damn, this is exactly I need to do, my hazard light switch is damaged, that forced me to buy the whole spare front plus the system, so they could be coded(aligned together), now I got the spare part from the scrap yard, and facing some mechanic job to replace it for me. Looking at your video tells how easy it is to strip the trim. But you used some plastics to get into trim to be able to pull them out. I guess I don't have confidence of stripping it myself 😮
@FocusRS Carmods Excellent Video - Thanks. My Sync appears to be dead after a completely flat battery and Jump start. Fuse is ok. I was assuming something in the Apim had blown - you mention ignition not waking Sync up though - could it be linked to that?
Great video, when you was doing the video and taking the radio out did you notice at all if you could see the Bluetooth module behind there as I think mine has packed up,
@@focusrscarmods9074 I've sorted that out and screen is now working. It's very odd fitted reverse camera and sometimes it's crystal clear and other times it can be fuzzy. Should be perfect buts baffling me now grrrr
@@chrissing64 that could either be the loom in the boot to the camera or the camera itself the looms are prone to corrosion from water getting in around the spoilers
@@focusrscarmods9074 Really maddening as the picture now is perfect. as its intermittent taking it somewhere would be hit of miss as you cant trace a fault if its not showing up.

Hi mate. Ive just brought a focas mk 3 with kne of those stupid andriod units. Is it easy to put the original sync 2 unit back in?

I can rescue most sync problems I have a bench setup where I can boot them it makes it easier to diagnose issues

Sorry only just seen this message The Bluetooth module is built into the sync module

It is but it’s far easier to disable the fake noise with software on Non USA models
When you've taken this out have you had the screen stay black. I'm thinking blown fuse
Never had a black screen just from removing one but if the config isn’t correct to the vehicle then the ignition will not wake it
