I have been reviewing videos of the marathon, and yours is the one that best recounts the internal of this event. Very emotional and you deserve great recognition for challenging yourself and fulfilling your goal with a lot of effort. You are the big man.
Christian thank you for showing what we go through from the moment we get up until we finish the marathon, through you I was able to show my family how it was for me, I was behind you, actually you passed me at about mile 16th. Congrats and again thank you for sharing that great experience…
Thank you Christian for inspiring runners around the world with your videos. I hope to run the NYC marathon in 2023 and who knows maybe get to thank you in person as I’m running. Cheers and continue sharing your passion for running…it’s contagious! 😊
Thanks, David. It really isn't hard in NYC. The people don't ever let you quit, and fellow runners always have your back out there. Amazing experience yet again no matter what!
Really great video. I have seen many videos from the race and I think this one gives me a better sense of what it's like to be out on the course than any other I have seen. Thanks for sharing.
Wishing you a speedy recovery 💕 nd thanks for making us part of your Run. I really enjoyed this video and can't wait for my turn to run this race very soon 😍.
Thank you for the video and the opportunity to re-live the race! I ran this one 6 times back in the 1980's. Congratulations on your finish and completing your goal! Really enjoyed the views...
Congrats Christian! I ran this year's NYC Marathon for the first time, I didn't finish at the time I wanted because my knees and calves were feeling intensely pressured, however, I finished. Next year will be a different game for both of us!
Nah you did a GREAT JOB! Still had 10 miles to go and your legs started to hurt-that’s commendable and you didn’t stop. You kept pushing yourself. I would’ve passed out after mile 1. Thanks for recording, you and everyone has me in a running mood now.
I've been trying to get into the NYC marathon for years, it's actually become a tradition to receive the reject letter year after year. Congrats gutting out the race despite the foot injury.
Congrats on your finish. I've enjoyed watching all your videos leading up to this marathon. Your love of running is so evident in all your videos. Very inspiring to watch.
Incredible journey. Hope you recover quickly. Your video brought joy to many of us who aspire to run a marathon or have ran but finished in the dark. Congrats again.
Glad you enjoyed it! I appreciate the kind words. You all inspire me to keep going with your own goals and dreams. We're all on the same team working together.
fabulous video. I did it this year coming from Australia and watching your video helped me re-orientate where everything was. I was aiming for 4 hours too and was briefly devastating crossing at 4:02 but nothing short of amazing this race. I can't believe you managed to get through with the problem you had! As my coach always said ' haven't come this far to only come this far'. Well done. Hope you get your redemption at some point.
Congratulations Christian, you rocked it. I did almost the same time (4:26:58). It was a painful ordeal at the last few miles for me. Much respect to you, because you Go Pro'd it also, good job!👍🏃♂️💪
I was green wave 1 this year. What a GIFT to have documentation of that day and each of those steps along the way. I dont think you get it if you didnt run that day, but it was a perfect race. Im so thankful that you have posted this for my own memories. THANK YOU! And gutsy finish my friend.
Well done with the run, it was good to see the sights along the way, what an amazing buzz from the crowds! It looked a hard effort, you earned that medal, well done & I hope the stress fracture heals up soon Christian 👍🏃
You’re awesome for filming this and running like a boss! 💪🏼 Thank you for sharing this with us! I’m running the NYC marathon this November for the first time and your video helped me out a lot!
Awesome video. Congratulations on gutting it out. What counts is that you FINISHED. Thank you for posting it. I loved that you included footage from the Fort; it brought me back to when I ran this race. And really cool how much you included of the race itself. Christian, you are, and will always be an NYC Marathoner!
