I just ran my Richmond half marathon yesterday with a negative split. I started watching you way way way in the beginning before you got popular. You replied to one of my comments on your RUclips videos telling me to just start and don't give up. I did, and happy to say I completed my first race. So happy for you!!!
@@MrsSpaceCadet oh......"the bug" is for real lol. Absolutely yes 100% Thank you for all you do. So nice to have someone so down to earth and real leading so many....the meek shall inherit the earth. Hope to run with ya one day.
I'm in tears for you. This is so beautiful. You are a hero to all of average women and moms that are sick of ourselves and don't know what to do. You are a beautiful inspiration to us all. It has been such an uplifting and therapeutic experience just watching you on this journey. Thank you for sharing it with us. Signed a very tired and emotional mom of 4 and sick of herself.😍 PS I have an inflammatory autoimmune arthritis disease that tells me I can't do these things. Every time I watch tour videos, I want to get up and go do something just to tell myself I can.
The caped zombies shuffling away at the end... oh, how I remember that view (and being one of those) from my marathon. Also, probably should have read the "grab a box of tissues" thing before I started watching this. Amazing job, congratulations!
Hey there congratulations I was passing through. You are amazing you planning on doing the marathon this Sunday I’m going to be there running a marathon for the first time ❤
That video made me cry. Your journey has inspired so many to start running and/or continue running. I am 51, have been running 3 years and you have inspired me to keep going. Thank you!!
The flashback to day one took me out 😭😭😭. So proud of you! You’ve inspired me to get back out there and I realized how much I’ve missed it. I’ve set a goal and I’m going for it!
You inspire me! I’m a slow runner too… I signed up for my first half marathon for next year and finished my first week of training. I’m so proud of you and following your journey has given me the strength and grace to get back into running again. You’re the best!! You did it!!
That is awesome! I'm so excited for you. Remember you'll learn the most about yourself on the tough runs that seemingly last forever. Embrace those moments and dig deep!
Wow the final flashback sequence and the music was so touching! It reminded me of something I saw once about how with every run, a runner is transforming and by the end of each run, you’re on your way to becoming a new version of you. Congrats on your race and thanks for sharing with us!
Congratulations Erin !! You did amazing. The turn around stop sign would be so proud. Dan was freaking awesome too. Gotta find me an Australian version of Dan still 😁 cried all the way through watching this and then the look back over the years got me ugly sobbing. Just wow, wow, wow. Yay congratulations!! You did awesome. Love the video, love the today show appearance, love that you wore your crocs. You looked great but still natural like yourself.
So I’ve been binging the podcast backwards while I crochet a baby blanket for a co-worker. I finished the blanket and had to go watch the NYC marathon video and balled my eyes out! I loved it. Amazing video of an amazing race. Congrats!!! You are an inspiration. I ran my 1st marathon in LA last Sunday. I know that feeling when you cross the finish line. You realize what have just done after all the training. You DID IT! Congrats again. Thank you for sharing your journey.
OMG, so inspiring!! Loved your energy. The video was edited so well. Congrats on your run. I might a year late but the video turned on my feed today, hate the algorithm for showing the best videos so late😄
I'm running New York this November and every month, I come back and rewatch this and cry just as hard as the first time, thank you for all the inspiration!
So beautifully done. Last Sunday's NYC was my first in person marathon too and I feel like we were all glass boxes of emotion from start to finish. I've been re-watching every video I took on my phone and seeking out all content on RUclips and IG ever since the race just to feel a little bit of that marathon spirit again. Congratulations! You're an inspiration - thank you!
Now I have to explain to my family why I am crying watching a running video. Awesome job and thank to everyone in your group for the video. I loved the part where you spliced in the old video of you starting your journey.
This and your Chicago Marathon videos are giving me a lot of comfort as I currently prepare to run MY first marathon (Chicago) this weekend. All the feels!
I just posted a marathon tips video perfect for beginners that also has a lot of pep talks in it which might also calm your nerves! Chicago is AMAZING! Good luck out there! :)
Congratulations! Have truly enjoyed following you and your journey. Thank you for sharing your dream with us and being yourself! You are inspiring so many people to follow their dreams and to help others along the way!
Omg way to get me all in the feels Erin I was literally bawling by the end. I can't even begin to describe how I proud and excited I am for you! I've been watching your RUclips videos since the beginning and you're the reason I started running. You have been so amazing that I just wanted to share that journey with someone relatable. I started running last year and slowly fell off since getting sick. I found out in August of this year that I had thyroid cancer and had to get my thyroid removed. But I'm so happy to say that since my surgery, I've never felt better and I'm back to pounding the pavement again. I'm no where near ready for a marathon but I am now training for my first 10k. Congratulations again!!! Keep being awesome!
Wow I love thissss! So proud of you! I don’t know why I got so emotional when that other guy said “let’s do this New York” but it did! Can’t wait to see where you go!

Hi Erin. I'm so glad you finally got to run your first real live marathon and that you ran not only The NYC Marathon but the 50th Anniversary Race of the NYC Marathon. I'm a native New Yorker and I'm 70 years old and I've run this race and there is no other race in the world like it so treasure your memories of it forever. This was my last year running it because I run it with a left knee that is bone on bone from being hit by a car 10 years ago and I was told I'd never run again. But I have a wonderful orthopedic doctor. Yet it's time for me to switch to half marathon races and NYRR has some of the best. I also will never forget this last race because I had to help an improperly trained women get to the finish line. It took me 11 hours to get her there but we did it and I'm so proud of her and angry at the people who put her well-being at risk. Now I wish you good luck with all your future adventures and look forward to seeing them. Don't be a stranger to NYC.
