This is exciting to watch, as another RUclipsr just did a video on the same scents. You seem to agree, which is awesome. Gives me a really good idea how they smell
It took awhile for me to figure out what Coconut Soleil smelled like, because it was so familiar to me, but I couldn’t place it. Then it hit me - it smells a lot like Sol De Janeiro ! At least to me it does
Hi Erica, thanks for this. I always love your reviews even though I don't make candles as yet. Still only soaps, scrubs and butters. Will get there....Love from Pretoria, South Africa
Hey there Erica Sell de mer is the french name for seasalt i really love your channel i am also going to start my own sented candle line in Belgium greetings
I dont know whats the explanation but yes everytime its in the bathroom the scent is not too strong but if you put it to a place aside from the bathroom the ht changes. I'm guessing there's something about being in a cold place vs a regular room. Haven't got any good explanation to this but observed it to all my candles even with a very strong fo it is less the smell in a bathroom
Hi Erica. I am in the testing phase of making candles and wanted to ask you if you think a humidifier or dehumidifier would help with airing out all the smells? I don’t have windows in my dining area. Thank you in advance
@English Garden I work a full time job so there’s not much time left over. Currently there’s enough challenges, I thought of waiting a bit longer. I will ck out e-commerce. Ty . You’re so thoughtful
Hi Erica! New subscriber here ! Just seen all your older videos and was just about to purchase new fragrances. I know you used some northern supply jars before from Amazon the ones with the white cap I’m issuing 444 and 464 and coconut soy ! What wick would you use in the 9oz straight jar!!! Thanks !!
Hey there, I found your channel last week when I started getting back into candle making (was never that serious about it, did it for a while like 10 years ago), and I was wondering if you have any tips for testing wax melts? I'm starting with those due to the lower overhead and less things to test and I can find tons of candle testing sheets and charts but nothing for melts OR blending fragrances. Any idea where a person could find those or am I having to make my own? Also, I've seen people who do melts saying they use 15% fo as a standard even with waxes that are 6% - 12%, any idea why? I get that it creates a stronger throw, but doesn't that completely ruin the mix and set?
Hey girl! Still watching the video but commenting at the start of it. Does the Cashmere Musk smell similar to their Moroccan Cashmere? Also your makeup and hair looks pretty!
Thank you so much! And they definitely smell different, Moroccan cashmere has more “fresh & clean” notes in my opinion (the powdery notes really come through) whereas cashmere musk is much more masculine
Love these videos. Love your initial reactions. Cant wait to try them. Btw Its pronounced coconut (so-lay) soleil. Like punky brewsters name. Soleil moon frye. 😃
Hi! I’m not sure if you have made a video on this or not but trying to get as much info as I can before starting my journey. I’m a bit confused on the labeling what’s allowed and what’s not. Say I purchase Candle science fragrance and use it can I use that name on my candle for the scent or do I have to change the name completely ?!
You can use the name on the bottle or change it, however some fragrance companies will specify that certain names are copyrighted and cannot be used (for example: “black ice” and “love spell”)
Can anyone tell me why I have a really hard time finding Tea Tree FRAGRANCE oils. I dont want to use the essential oil, since what I've read has suggested that essential oils are not the best for candle use. I just really like that sent!
LOVE Sel de Mer and Moonflower Nectar!!!
Yes!! Moonflower nectar is by far my favorite!!
Yey!!!! I wait for your videos all week!
Hello-yes, there is an actual Moon Flower. My grandfather used to grow them and they are beautiful!
Love that! ❤️
I grow moon flowers.. In memory of my granny
My Moonflower Nectar just arrived today , I lovee it out of the bottle so excited to get testing ❣️ White Eucalyptuse is next that’s my 2nd favorite!
Oh I’m so glad!! ☺️
Moonflowers are a thing! They're a unique flower that vines and blooms at night, releasing a sweet fragrance, then closing at sunrise.
Can you do a manlier/musky scent review on your favorite scents???
This is exciting to watch, as another RUclipsr just did a video on the same scents. You seem to agree, which is awesome. Gives me a really good idea how they smell
Oh wow that’s great! 😄
I just got the Mango and Gardenia, and it's Soo perfect!! Using for body care products.
It took awhile for me to figure out what Coconut Soleil smelled like, because it was so familiar to me, but I couldn’t place it. Then it hit me - it smells a lot like Sol De Janeiro ! At least to me it does

The jump in fragrance oil prices has cramped my purchases.
@English Garden I’m kind of in a holding pattern. I live in an area where ppl are careful about money. Frugal
They won’t buy if I raise prices.
