All time Charlote career assist and steals leader. A foot shorter than players who are considered “undersized”. He was brutally strong and extremely quick but he must have had an amazing skill set to do what he did. Most undersized players are offensive guys and struggle on D, but Bouges was a defensive problem for most teams. Even skilful handles would have trouble putting the ball on the floor.

The Hornets were my favorite team growing up as a kid in the early 90's. Alonzo, LJ, Curry, Gill, Newman, Bogues, Curry, these guys were so much fun to watch. Unfortunately they struggled to make the playoffs and never made it far the few times that they did. Just the downside of having no bench whatsoever still as a fairly new expansion team.

Short, quick players with handles that have high IQ, a good jumper and finesse around the rim are always hard to guard, they use their size to their advantage, that's when the basketball IQ takes over....something a lot of players lack today, most can jump out the gym and shoot it from 40 ft but can they play within an offense or run an offense and control pace? Can they diagnose and attack different defenses immediately and effectively? Can they identify the opposition's "hot" man and help effectively slow their rhythm or take them outta the game completely at times (depending on position of course)? Muggsy could actually do all of those things and that's why he was as good as he was at that height, it's a reason he was a starter that long on a contender, he played on one of the best high school squads of all time, Muggsy was always legit af and despite his height he was very athletic honestly

NBA teams should take risks on small guards again. They get so much advantage for steals and I know argument is defense is awful but if you have him guard a wing shooter and we good. Nate Robinson was a beast too but teams wouldnt use him not because of stats/numbers but because his height

as an 80s baby, i remember mugsy well...
you couldn't dribble the ball up court against him.
    instant steal every time.
your point guard had to let the shooting guard bring the ball up the court and set up the half court offense.
dude was a *FORCE* out there amongst the trees
