We named her Vicky . We don't know how she got injured but we know that she is blind for a long time accordingto her eyessituation. Elderly, blind and sick as she is positive to leismania. We also know that at the past she got injured again and she broke her leg but no one helped her . She survived twice for sure and maybe more ?
She had no microchip.
Not easy to find adoption so she will remain under our care .
She is enjoying a nice bed, good food , good company and lots of love .

the way you gently talk to her and comfort her is something ive notice is missing from a lot of so called rescue channels, it leads me to be very suspicious of them, it should come naturally to someone who cares for animals to verbally reassure and comfort them, they understand and it makes a difference in such scary and unfamiliar situations, its called empathy which a lot lack.
You really do amazing things and clearly care as does your team, I think you're all quite amazing.

So often the aid workers in these videos have high-pitched, excitable voices which must confuse and scare some of these abused and neglected animals; Ermioni has a soothing and sincere tone to her speech which will comfort any around her.

Blind and someone left this beautiful dog to care for itself, really? Thank God for you and your team.
Oh how it breaks my heart to see how this poor dog has suffered alone blind on the streets, thank God someone found her and brought her to you all who brought her around well enough to go live with Thomas. After weeks and weeks of treatment, it made me smile to see her happy rolling around in the grass looking so much better. Thank you for all you do for these precious babies your work is not easy and unfortunately there always will be another dog needing care and like always you will be there. God bless

I would love to get my next English Setter from one of these shelters I'm so mad at the people that get these beautiful dogs and use them for hunting then dump them off this breed is wonderful they love to hunt and love you

@@pennyusa8514 aw, thank you for supporting these Animal Shelters. It is heartbreaking that all these beautiful Dogs are treated so appallingly as if they have no feelings whatsoever. I used to have a Greyhound, which is a sight hound and were bred for catching Rabbits and Hares. Naturally, they are extremely fast runners but very gentle and sensitive. In the UK they are used for racing at a Race track and are gambled on for the punters to make money on betting which Dog will win the race. They are also very badly treated but fortunately this legal business is beginning to phase out and these wonderful Hounds are being found homes with families. They lived in kennels at the race track so never experienced living in a Home with people. They are wonderful Pets and don't need much exercise, despite their ability to run extremely fast. They just love to sleep most of the time. I love Irish Setters, they are so goofy and very affectionate. It is so sad that the older generation of Greek people still view Dogs as dirty and a nuisance and an Animal to fear. The young generation just need to realize, through education from an early age, at school age, that Dogs are wonderful companions and uplift our mood and love us unconditionally. Thank you Penny, for helping our furry friends when you can. 🥰💖💓🌠💫🐾🐾🐾🏴

The happy grass roll at the end... All this little one has been through, and her/his tail never stopped wagging. This group of Animal Rescue is so amazing and all Resue like it worldwide. I contribute donations and animal food to my local Rescue Group every month. They are always in need of funds and rightly so for the lifesaving work they do for these animals in dire need.
Luckily she was found in time and now she will have a couple of good years ahead of her...

Seeing the condition of her eyes and ears just hurt my heart. Domestic dog breeds were not meant to wander and fend for themselves. She is an abandoned pet, judging by her warmth toward people. Leaving an elderly dog alone to die slowly of starvation and disease is an act of violence, nothing less. She is blessed to have been found in time, and doubly blessed that it is Ermioni caring for her now. DAR needs our support. 💜🇺🇸
