The Four Horsemen is SUCH A BLAAAAST wow. what's your favourite Metallica song?
ONE without any doubts.
Everything else is in a subpar league.
Ride the Lightning, For Whom the Bell Tolls, Fade to Black, Trapped Under Ice
Creeping death for me
Creeping death or seek & destroy
Whiplash

"I don't want to ask for something and regret it..." - St. Anger has entered the chat
Not even their worst song
@@zerox9959 I was referring to the album. I'd say it's by far their worst. As for the song, I actually like it. There are some great tracks on the album (Frantic, Some Kind of Monster and Sweet Amber come to mind) but as I say, it's the worst album/period for the band. Out of that dumpster fire though came two amazing albums though I don't think the treatment and subsequent firing/quitting of Jason Newstead was worth it, he really got the shitty end of the stick.
Call me crazy I love St Anger, is it stronger than the 5 first albums? Of course not
But in summertime I always blast it, good fukin heavy raw vibes
Frantic, The Unnamed Feeling, Some Kind Of Monster, Dirty Window.
I’m glad that album exists, there’s nothing like it out there.
you forgot lulu
@@kouroshjafari8116 Shit, yeah that one...Can we just blame that all on Lou Reed? I suppose if it has to count, then St, Anger isn't the worst
I think "Ride The Lightning" is one of my absolute favorites by Metallica: The thoughts of a man about to die in the electric chair. And the riff is just awesome.
Also, Orion is one of my favorite instrumentals in metal. Too many dimensions to that song and the bass shines by itself in the midle of the song that brings a feeling of nostalgia to it. I love it.
Greets, Kira :)
yes I'd like to check out Orion!!
Ride The Lightning is also a great as an album, it's my favorite one from Metallica. An album reaction would be awesome!
"It's so intense but it's so good"
Perfect.
yea i feel like that's a good sign
You don't always see a reaction where they fall off their chair lol
Adorable and fun! I'm glad you're enjoying the music you're listening to
Reacting to four horsemen:This is the best song that has a lot of surprises.
Making one:Hold my bass player
Creeping death, wherever i may roam, for whom the bell tolls, seek & destroy and whiskey in the jar are some of the must listen to songs.
ok thank you!!
@@kirawasareactor be aware then that whiskey in the jar is a cover, not a metallica original. oh and thin lizzy's version is better :-P
oooooh...you should *definitely* react to thin lizzy sometime. not metal, but excellent classic rock.
This. Especially Whiskey in the Jar, and if you can, the official music video.. It's great as well.
the cover of whiskey in the jar fn' sucks
wrong, all of them are, except lulu
*cries in Megadeth's The Mechanix*
You'll cry with frustration, it's very bad, the essence only Metallica has!
Hope you do Megadeth soon too!! The songs I'd recommend are Holy Wars, Peace Sells, Symphony of Destruction, Captive Honor, My Last Words
i would add A Tout Le Monde its so different to their typical sound. Imho they are best of big four then Testament (i would say its better to listen first those two before Slayer).
Yeah, those are good. I wouldn't recommend them in that order though. Holy Wars is a masterpiece, and it would be a shame if she couldn't appreciate the insane melodies, composition and rhythmic switch-ups due to being shied away by the off-the-bat intensity.
I would say Peace Sells first, because it's groovy but it's very rich and a classic as well. Then maybe something totally different, and very easy, like Symphony of Destruction. Megadeth is extremely versatile. Then Captive Honor and My Last Words are good ones. The latter is a bit in the vain of Motörhead/Ace of Spades, so I think she'll enjoy it.
Aside from these, I would maybe recommend Sweating Bullets, High Speed Dirt, Skin o' My Teeth, then Hangar 18. After that I think she's sort-of ready for the rest of the Rust in Peace album, including Holy Wars.
Definitly Peace Sells, symphony of destruction and tout le monde
Let's leave 90s megadeth out of this
Tornado of Souls!!!!!!
Thanks the universe you reacted to the pure album version of One and not the official video. Good one right there!
Pre "One" songs are influenced by the vision and greatness of the late Cliff Burton, their zenith is Master of Puppets
Kill' em All was already finished when Cliff joined the band
Gala Sniper didn't Davey Mustaine and Cliff wrote most of kill em all together? I know they had bassist before but the album was not fully done when he joined? Or am I wrong
@@nathanielwhynot4502 You are both not right! James and Lars wrote most of the songs when Ron McGovney was in the band. Dave added 2 songs (Jump and Horsemen) and helped with i think Militia. They released their first EP with Ron before Cliff joined with most songs already finished. Cliff added Anesthesia and before they recorded Kill Em All they kicked out Dave and added Kirk, who changed most of the solos. Cliff had his most contributions on Ride. Kirk as well.
@@IwieIch123 Dave wrote the music to 4 songs actually, Jump In The Fire, The Four Horsemen, Metal Militia and Phantom Lord.

A song not often recommended is Sanitarium. I think you'd like it.

And thanks for all the reactions :)
Yes, she'll love this.
You must see the live version of For Whom The Bell Tolls from Cliff 'em All (DVD). Cliff Burton performance is incredilble
Slayer next: Angel of Death, Raining Blood, South of Heaven, Seasons in the Abyss
And Dead Skin Mask 😏
Your reaction is so wholesome and adorable. I've never associated happy vibes with Metallica, but I loved it!
Also, your Fade to Black comment is spot on. It does feel like it lingers, or ...fading away.
Yeah!! Four Horsemen is my favorite Metallica song! Awesome reactions!
Album reaction: "Overkill - The Years of Decay". One of my favorite albums of all time!
We neeeeed her to do Megadeth now. I'd recommend getting a feel for their classic stuff by listening to 1 song of the first 4 records.
Holy Wars, Mechanix (AKA the original The Four Horsemen), In My Darkest Hour and The Conjuring would be my recommendations.
THE ORIGINAL FOUR HORSEMEN? omg
@@kirawasareactor Yes! Metallica changed the lyrics because they wanted the song to be more "serious" than the original song "Mechanix" which, despite having less deep lyrics, is basically a faster and more tightly played version of The Four Horsemen. It's my personal choice over The Four Horsemen, but I'm a speed demon so that's just me lol. Another very important note is Megadeth "remastered" songs all sound way worse than Megadeth original mixes, so when you're finding the songs always make sure it says "original" in the title.
and SWEATING BULLETS
@@garycoates4987 That's not a classic song, but yeah if she does a part 2 that's a must.
"Set the world afire" is my favorite of MegadetH. 🤘🏻
Came across one of your reactions in my recommendations. Love this one. Made me remember that same energy I felt when I first heard it. Subscribed.
One is taken from the Novel which was then adopted into a film called "Johnny got his Gun" which follows the story of a Soldier who had been hit with a landmine which had blown off all of his limbs and face and he was still alive but unable to communicate with the outside world and was trapped with just his own thoughts and memories which one can imagine would be absolute hell... the story is heavy and they did an absolutely amazing job of telling it.
One was the first Metallica song they would play on MTV and the radio. That's why everyone remembers it most.
Ngl this is the best reaction I’ve ever seen to Metallica.
Finally!! I've been waiting for this since you started this channel. I loved it!
Just found you today and your reactions to these songs are absolutely adorable! New subscriber haha
To delve deeper in Metallica, I recommend: Shortest Straw, Orion, Blackened, Eye of the beholder and Harvester of sorrow.
I would also recommend: Arch Enemy, Parkway Drive, Atreyu, Avenged Sevenfold, Dio, Van Halen, Opeth, Rainbow and Porcupine Tree

There were 3 Waves of The British Invasion, Wave 1 were bands that included The Beatles, The Dave Clark 5, The Searchers and Herman's Hermits. Wave 2 were bands like Black Sabbath, The Rolling Stones, Judas Priest, The Who and Led Zeppelin. The 3rd Wave or New Wave of British Heavy Metal included bands like Motorhead, Iron Maiden, Saxon, Def Leppard, Girlschool, Grim Reaper and Raven who I saw with my dad in Portland in the summer of 1983 with a young band I'd never heard of before going by the name Metallica.
I should mention Rolling Stones and The Who were actually part of the same group as the Beatles, they just stuck around and had big stuff after the Beatles broke up as well as their earlier stuff, but all of them had their first big songs/albums in around 64 and 65
@@TalussAthner Yeah, you're right, the Stones & The Who are definitely 1st wave, 1962 & '64. Yes and Deep Purple would have been better examples.
Subbed within 3 minutes hahahaha what a personality! love wholesome reaction like this and love how you get the "video game" vibe!!
I watch this kind of videos to see enthusiastic feelings and attitudes for songs I've known for a long time just to remind me how many beautiful moments are in tracks I have listen thousands times.
Pantera next, I’m broken, Walk, Cemetery Gates all great, you also said “Go Hard or Go Home”, that’s literally Pantera’s motto
Fade To Black never failed to make me cry even now... that song just sounds like a perfect song I mean.. the intro with that melodic solo from Kirk sounds like someone who cried try to tell you the reason they cry.. and then the clean riff came out.. and that riff.. BOI they sounds full and heartbreaking and stuff.. then the distortion part came and it just sounds so damn cool.. after that my fav part came out... the way james singing at that part just umhh! I mean it's goes along with the riff and the lyrics super damn well.. I mean fuck that part is heavy not just sounds wise but lyrically too y'know.. and then the outro goddammit it so damn melodic and Cliff's bass part sound so damn well during that part.. (you can try to listen to the bass track trust me its good) and then Kirk's solos kicks in! it just sooo damn intense and killer.. and the only thing that I hate in this song is that Lars bass drum is pretty low and unhearable (to someone who just started listening).. the reason I write this shit is because FTB is the song that make me play guitar and stuff.. so yeah it own a special place in my heart.. that's it mang.. that's enough writing for this month
thank you for such a great breakdown of the track! that's so special that it got you into guitar :)
I freaking love ur reactions! Thanks for sharing this with us
I LOVED YOUR FADE DESCRIPTION AHHHHHHHHHH
I will use it from now on!
If you are going to react to Megadeth remember that Dave's voice is really rough around edges. You start listening to Megadeth for their sick solos and after some time you'll know that Daves voice is perfect match for this band and there is no one that could replace his vocals.
Cool to see you dug Metallica! I'm really hoping you do one on Megadeth, a lot of their stuff has that fast swing in it that Four Horsemen has, as well as some of the coolest and most creative guitar riffs, their drummers are usually really jazzy, and their lead guy Dave Mustaine used to be in Metallica and actually wrote like half of Metallicas first album (including Four Horsemen)!
oh yea i dug them!! Megadeth doesn't seem so scary to me anymore. Especially if they're somewhat similar to elements of Four Horsemen.. that song rocks. jazzy!! i've been listening to jazz all day!
@@kirawasareactor what's your opinion on Dave's vocals? I personally quite like his vocals, they fit how the band plays quite well
Dave was credited for 4 songs out of 10 on the first album, did not write all of those songs alone either :)
If you do Megadeth, Holy wars/My Last Words/Looking Down The Cross are really good songs by Megadeth.
@@kirawasareactor the comment above says that Dave Mustaine from Megadeth wrote half of Metallica's first album which is not true but he co-wrote a few songs from it.
I really enjoy your reactions!! When you get into it and do a vigorous metal-charging dance , it's just great to see the enthusiasm, your expressions say it all !!!! Glad to see there are more metal fans out there appreciating the music :) And One is my ABSOLUTE FAVE Metallica song!!! Much respect.
Lmao love your energy 😂
Cuts to you doing the cross arm dance thing during Four Horsemen kill me haha
If you want harder, faster Metallica I'll give you 3 songs from each 80s album
1) KILL EM ALL: Hit the Lights, Whiplash or Metal Militia
2) RIDE THE LIGHTNING: Fight Fire With Fire,Trapped Under Ice or Creeping Death
3) MASTER OF PUPPETS: Battery, Disposable Heroes or Damage Inc.
4) ...AND JUSTICE FOR ALL: Dyers Eve, Blackened or The Frayed Ends of Sanity
Bear in mind, they get much more Hard Rock-ish from 1988's ...And Justice For All onwards, so you won't see that super aggressive Metallica post 1991 until a couple tracks on 2008's Death Magnetic and 2016's Hardwired To Self Destruct. Just saying from the recommendations I'm seeing in the comments, which a lot of people like, but I don't think it0s what you're looking for.
Harvester of sorrow also from justice album
For Whom The Bell Tolls is a must

I'm so excited for your future reactions! And given that you said you liked the intensity I have to suggest Megadeth and can't wait for a full album reaction to Rust In Peace. Also if you react to anything off their debut make sure its from the Final Kill remaster, they had really bad production when it came out and the remaster brings it up to quality.
Your reaction to Four Horsemen reminded me of playing Metallica for my little sister when she was a kid. She never wound up a metalhead but she certainly enjoyed jumping around to it.

Do Megadeth next , it's thrash metal (Holy wars..the punishment due, tornado of souls, mechanix, hangar 18) all masterpiece. After that Slayer... It's some very agressive thrash metal. The whole album Is like 28 minutes, and the best thrash metal album imo
Slayer's first album isn't that aggressive at all (it has a similar sound as Kill Em All). I think she should start there for Slayer
@@derpherpula592 yea I forgot to say, I was talking about Reign in blood
You should react to MEGADETH. It is the band formed by Dave Mustaine in 1983, shortly after he was kicked out of METALLICA for being an aggressive drunk.
He made Megadeth out of spite and revenge and made his own legacy with that band.
Some songs to react to would first and foremost being :
-Holy Wars (off their 1990 masterpiece Rust In Peace)
-Peace Sells...but Who's buying? (off their 1986 masterpiece Peace Sells...but Who's buying?)
-In My Darkest Hour (off their 1988 album So Far...So Good...So What?)
-Mechanix (off their debut 1985 album Killing Is My Business... and Business Is Good!)
-Symphony of Destruction (off their 1992 album Countdown To Extinction)
-A tout le monde (off their 1994 album Youthanasia)
Love watching your reaction to some of my favourite bands, awesome !
LOVED your reaction to The Four Horsemen haha
They are focused on NWOBHM, but they are the fathers of modern metal and thrash metal.
If you are going to do an album reaction for Metallica I strongly suggest Master of puppets. Second best thrash metal album after Rust in peace by Megadeth. But I don’t know maybe you’ll like their second album ride the lightning more. Also a banger
Id agree, Rust In Peace #1, Master of puppets #2, Ride the Lightning #3
No way! The whole album is amazing. And you can hear a great singer. Dave is ok but nowhere near James. MOP is by far the best album ever.
@@donaldcampbell9483 yeah, definitely James is a far better vocalist than Dave, he’s got a lot more power to his voice. But daves’ s vocals are a perfect match por Megadeth in my opinion and you know, if you have that amount of excellent solos in an album I would still listen to it no matter who sang. But I actually like Dave’ s voice although James is a better singer

I can definitely feel it! Kira's becoming a metalhead! Seeing how excited you are when you hear these songs takes me back to when I first heard them myself. I've loved metal since I was eight years old, when I first heard Iron Maiden. It's very satisfying to watch someone discovering this music and loving it. One last recommendation, this one for later on in your journey: Once you're really into thrash, there will be a lot check out because there are like a million thrash bands. But one of the more intense albums is one called _Spectrum of Death_ by a band called Morbid Saint. The main riff on the song "Assassin" is unbelievable, and the drumming throughout the album is god-tier. You aren't ready for it yet. I think it's a bit too crazy for you right now, especially the vocals. But at the rate you're going, you'll get there soon.
