Thanks for the tips - I've been using custom barriers and couldn't quite figure out how to do the null barrier - putting it OUTSIDE makes so much more sense (I was trying to thread it through things). And the null keeper gate is genius!
Thank u so much for these tips they're super helpful just one question is only of the foliage or barriers from dlc packs or r they all from the base game
How do you know how tall your custom barriers are to prevent escape? Do you just have to place them and then measure with the null barrier every time? Or do animals not escape out of custom barriers based on height?
Hi, love your video, I just need a few more details… how do you allow the staff to enter the habitat when using custom barrier ? Cause in your example if staff opens the service door the trip on the custom barrier… Also is it possible to do so with an habitat made entirely of rocks ? Thanks 🙂
ive tried putting null barrier inside habitat, outside habitat, and inside the walls i make but my bears keep escaping over and over almost instantly, they just run right through it. Please help!
Hey Adam I imagine you are about to get a huge influx from console players like me! I wanted to confirm that a 2 hand made fence would stop a wildebeest for example that normally requires a 4 foot tall barrier
the custom barriers don't register as actual barriers in the game, therefore you need to place down the null barrier in order to create the actual boundary.
@@vegassims7 no, you have to create your own barriers when using null barriers. Null barriers are just a way to tell the game where you have created them
Thanks for asking this question! I was looking through the comments hoping this was addressed. It sounds to me like if you use custom barriers or natural barriers the game does not register the area as a habitat. So, null barriers act as an invisible way to tell the game that this is in fact a habitat. Allowing the placement of animals. Is that correct?
So where to find your fences in the Worksop? If I search forr "Fences"" there are hundreds. If I search just your workshop items, there are huundreds. Frustrating. Please provide actual links in your video descriptions What DLC is required to get Meshes?
9:12 please don’t do that if your going to save to to steam workshop it might not overlap what’s in your world but it can in others world I have had that happen to me ounce wasn’t to bad thought just had 2 red panda die that day :)

Love your videos! Learned a bunch from you. Maybe one day I can make gorgeous exhibits like you. I'd love to see how you did that angled atrium ♡
This video was super helpful, thank you :]
Glad it was helpful!

They can enter just fine like they would do with normal barriers and yes it's possible with any objects including rocks

make sure null barriers are on the outside and check your heat map for escape points. turn of climbing on your custom fences
everyy time i do this it says invalid habitat idk what im doing wrong with null barrier
Do you have a habitat gate?
Ty :)
YW :)
I can't place animals without ingame barrier. How are you moving them in?
ohh dont think my NULL is working
Place a habitat gate, then use null barriers to connect, and all should be OK x
Could we possibly have a updated how to do franchise with all the new packs would love a new video about that
The fundamentals of franchise mode I've already done tutorials on. New packs have no impact on gameplay?
@@adamup i was thinking more on rhe lines off the animals which would you use first that sort of thing
What about requirements about height and durability of those null barriers? Animals have their requirements of it. Isn't that problem?
It by passes the requirements of barriers

So usefull! But wait, at 4m20, did you just duplicate an element? How?!
Ctrl-x or ctrl-d. D places the new item at your cursor, X places it where the original item is, and you can move it on the axis.
No one ever says what is the Null border for? What is it for? If you have a barrier why do you need a null barrier.
To designate an area and boundary of a habitat when not using barriers

@@adamup BUT, it won't keep your animals inside a habitat?

Good tutorial, it is a bit annoying how you use the word what instead of that
What
Nah to much work, it's bad enough to build things already
