I think the reason the rebel troopers are missing their skin is cause they maybe have plans of making a rebel trooper battle pack maybe next year or something, maybe they want more different skin toned rebel troopers
That actually makes sense, of course I’d order them to just print the skin tone on but I get it
Or just the ability to swap heads/hands on the figures in this set
Rogue One did this and it was great. Army building became super easy for Rogue One rebel troopers because with no skin printing on the torso, you could swap the head and hands with everyone and make unique characters rather than generic man.
Good theory, just out of curiosity, which mini figure has those dual moles legs in light bluish gray?

If you think about it and build one in reverse/mirrored then you could have 2 joined together with the wall on the same side so would look really good on a shelf!!
I think the lack of skin is because the torsos can be used on characters with different skin colours.
Whether this be for customisation or a future battle pack?? 🤔
How convenient of Lego then to not include a different face for the Rebels then...Guess to them everyone is a clone trooper

@@343Films But not clones. There were a ton of different looking actors, and Lego already gave us female Scout troopers and different Stormtroopers.
The point is, the lack of skin printing does make for easier variation, but they didn't actually give you the option to accomplish that.
@@Matt..Sall the rebels in that scene were white. However should you want to diversify your existing rebel army, you can now mix and match skin tones.
the fire around the door has to be one of the best details in a set I have seen for a while.

You could build the Tantive IV set in the opposite direction, and then combine it with another one of the Tantive IV sets so that the hallway looks cleaner and so you could display it without the look of the hallway being in different directions and one of the hallway sets being in an outward position
Also puts all the play functions on the same side and is exactly what I plan on doing
For all the inaccuracies you point out with the clones, I’m surprised you didn’t bother to mention that the torso print on the Vader minifigure is wrong, it should look like the rebels Vader minifigure. But whatever right?

If you don't want Fives' pauldron to be flat there's a tip I've seen in the custom community where if you take one of the old plastic pauldron pieces, slide it on top of the new fabric one, and leave it there for a few weeks it should conform to the correct shape.
What if you don't have one?

Couldn't help notice the Tantive IV midi sitting in the case. My most eagerly awaited set of the year, so eagerly awaiting that review.
I wasn't so excited for this one but having seen how great it looks, I just might have to get it. And displaying next to the Tantive IV midi actually is a great idea.
FINALLY a Tantive hallway set and FINALLY a set with more than one Rebel Fleet trooper (Yavin I’m looking at you!) they are one of my favourite Lego Rebel minifigs and with a couple of sets you can start to fill out the hallway a bit more like in the film.
Also looking forward to the rumoured Saw Guerrera minifig later this year!
Oh boy the Vader massacre corridor scene in the Rogue One really echoes on this set.

With Fives I honestly think displaying him with a hairpiece will be the way to go, the face print looks great and in any case helmetless is how I remember him from most of the Inhibitor Chip Arc (my favorite TCW story). Give him the Falcon/Electro hairpiece and one of the 2008 plastic waistcapes (it'll cover up the printed one) and I think he'll actually look pretty great!

I would love to see is combined with Dark Trooper Attack, creating cool theme of Father and Son, Past and Future, Dark vs Light etc vibe. Maybe by building the one with Luke in reverse, so they could connect in the middle making one longer display.

I like the missing skin on the neck, it lets you mix and match skin tones on the rebel troopers

Exactly. That's why i dont get it when it is called a "bad minifigure". It's more of a mixed bag to me. Even then the good aspects still beating out the bad.
The only reason people talk about the bad qualities of it is because they’ve asked Lego to fox them for years. You remove that fact, then it’s one of the best clone figures we’ve gotten in quite a while

this is just my idea but I feel that they should add another wall to these hallway sets to fully 'complete' the look, but make it on a swivel piece so you aree able to either use it for display or play

You can bend the Fives’ pauldron into shape with the OG plastic ones. Just place it over the cloth one and after some time, it will form into shape.
I complained before about him hating the new fives but when he got to the ugly part and didn’t say anything and just showed the helmet caught me lacking
You can just reverse image, build one of them and connect so the back wall is towards the back of the building on both ends. Shouldn’t be too hard especially if you are dyslexic.

I could imagine using two sets in a 90 degrees angle, and placing R2D2 + C3PO on the second piece, crossing the corridor, while there's a shootout of troopers. This would even allow to add a Princess Leia niche. I think, I have a mod idea. ^^

In my honest opinion, I think the fives minifigure is alright. I do wish we got a printed kama and that the helmet print was more accurate, but since fives is one of my favorite Star wars characters I'm surprised and grateful that we got him at all.
I think it's also great that he came in a relatively inexpensive set (by Lego standards lmao) and isn't locked behind a giant paywall like rex is

This is something I was super excited for and this is even better than expected. The iconic entrance of the flaming door is awesome. Definitely picking up a few of these to gift and have.

I can look past the fives helmet print but the stupid pauldron not folding down like it did perfectly well with the last ARC trooper is killing me. Such a simple fix...

I think mirroring the building process for a second set could create an awesome looking, clean hallway.

For the tantive build I would have added a wider and a little bigger hall way and add 3 more rebel troops and 4 more stormtroopers

I think the missing skin is so you can change the race of the rebel trooper. In future sets they might swap out the hands of the trooper making that print giving it more versatility
I wonder if they got rid of the flesh peaking through the top of the shirt because they knew they can’t print it the same color as the head.
The other option is that you could display your second one inversed, so the hall walls are both on the same side
I think it would be good if you found a way to modify it so it makes sense for a collector.
Definitely going to have to build the second one mirrored to the first one so that it displays better! Can't wait to get these!

I'm definitely going to get this set when it releases this March. I also find it hilarious that the Arc Trooper Fives minifigure is packaged in bag #5.
I know this is meant to recreate the opening scene from A New Hope. But it can definitely be modified to recreate the Darth Vader hallway scene from Rouge One : A Star Wars story.

mandr the skin was removed from the torso because it limits the torso to just white skin heads, whereas now you can use any skin color head
