Cool place, but I don't know if I agree about the government ruining all the fun. Remember the Ghost Ship warehouse in California? Everybody thought it was fun too, until it caught fire and 36 people died.
Add many exit points, spray it with a retardant and then put up a few large signs outside saying "Danger. No smoking. Not fire code compliant. Enter the artwork at your own risk." Perhaps they can re-classify it as something else like a structural piece of art, re-classify the land surrounding it and then just informed people of the potential danger. Let them decide for themselves.
Such a shame he wasn't allowed to continue his ministry there. And when I was there it hadn't been vandalized at all. So much of his personal belongings and statuary have been stolen. Great explore though thanks
Wow!😎 Lots of work went into building it. But still no respects it but breaking windows n lots of graffiti! I think it's amazing! So glad it was you who went all the way up n not me!😱😰 I'm sure you made a scene taking off your clothes! Hehe. Sorry you got stung. Stay safe. This was an incredible find!!
I've got a couple of books on tree houses from around the world and this tree house is in them. I'm so shocked to see it abandoned and in this state. It's just as you say - You can count on the government to fuck everything up.
It makes me sad to see this. I would love to just chill there as well. Great video as always!!! The vandals really make me mad with this place. Such a shame. I agree with others about how they should have been able to classify it as something else and have it be all at your own risk.
Think about it from the local government's point of view... let's say there were 100 tourists in the structure and there was an emergency... could local responders deal with a fire? structural failure? Looks like a rural area.
Well, the government ruins the fun. And sometimes that prevents a massive tourist BBQ, too. Of course, the Wild Wild West people never care about that... ;)
Amazing and full of so much personality. It reminds me of something you might spot in a movie or something. I'd be curious to see and hear the story from the man who created it.
I am very impressed with the locations you have in your videos. They are all truly amazing. How do you find the various places that you explore? Some of them seem like they would be pretty hard to find especially if you weren't looking for them.
I saw pictures of this years ago- apparently when it was still in use. Very sad to hear he was f***ed out of it by THE MAN. Absolutely amazing place. So damn lucky to have been there.
the town was wrong for shutting him down he whom gives up essential freedoms for little or temporary safety deserves neither. its all about personal responsibility and ones freedom to think and act for themselves. government feels you are all children unable to perform daily acts on your own without them thinking for you telling you what you can and cannot do in life.

Amazing. Mind blowing. So sad that someone's hard work & passion is just allowed to rot.
seen this places on a few other exploring channels but you by far did it the best
Wow this place is unique. Great find man, and nice smoothly filmed video :)
The guy who built this was a genius. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
In the governments defense, one misplaced cigarette butt and that place becomes a death trap.

All those geometric wood prices nailed to the legs is the coolest design ever

Why is it abandoned? That thing should be a tourist attraction!
It was. The government determined it was not safe due to fire code and shut it down.

Hi, that place was awesome, imagine all the work that went into making it, not to mention all of the wood and nails. Thank you. x
Sue Girling I think of all the trees it took to produce all the wood.

So cool and so weird. Amazing find!
This place would have cost big bucks to build, I wonder how long it took.
Awesome..but it looks rickety... I'd love to see it
Try for sharing!

@BackyardExploration
I’m from the St. Louis area, more specifically the Busch wildlife area. I have a few questions regarding the Echodome.
Yes your back!
