This is a good content as this is something that needs to be addressed. I have been in cargo van business 3 years and one of the biggest problems is people coming in and not have any idea about the business and just deciding to do it because its trending. These 3PL's are set up to take advantage of people that aren't sharp, doing the numbers daily, and don't have hustle (and no I don't mean just work hard) Honestly if anyone isn't going to evaluate their overhead(gas, maintenance, insurance) and what the company is offering its not for them. I feel like I have explained this so many times to people but very few get it? I mean I see people actually buy vans and come in based off what someone told them!? Having contracted with several 3PL's most people are there working it like its a job and not challenging themselves or the company. Its getting hard for the few of us the negotiate decent rates (which wasn't a problem before) because people accept extremely low rate for routes, bulk, etc.

Anything like this is tricky . The people who don’t account for overhead will do the jobs cheap and underbid people who do count making work scarcer and scarcer for them. The novices get burned out or when their vehicle breaks down they retire and a new gigger takes their place.

I worked FedEx ground. Stops 10 minutes apart sounds like a rural area. 100 stops would take all day for a beginner. If it's a city route she's just moving slow.

My frustration with this young lady is that she ain’t got that dawg in her that I know most women have. Most business owners tell you straight up women employees work harder than men without complaining. Especially in male dominated industries because they have a point to prove. This young lady needs to stop being entitled and gain knowledge. She should go work at Amazon during peak season when they have 200 stops a day. I did that for over a year. I was averaging 25-30 stops an hour. She needs to get quicker with delivery organization is key to success. If your van is unorganized you will be all day. Period

I am sorry Mark but, this young lady Natasha doesn't belong in this business at this point in time. She lacks the knowledge and experience to be successful. I feel like we are not getting the whole story because even after all of the couriers depart on their routes someone stays in the office to handle issues and keep track of the routes to track the deliveries and route completion because they have commitments to the customer. She would have been better off being a driver for someone to start out just to get her feet wet and grasp the concept of what a delivery day entails. 100 packages doesn't take 2 days to complete.

What up G, Happy Holidays!!! I been running for a company in Houston, I had to constantly chase my pay every week. P.O.D every stop on the company app with my phone and every week I have missing invoices. If you don't keep up with your invoices and refer back to the pay for that week. The company won't say anything unless you bring it the their attention. They're excuse is they trying to fix the problem, not the case. I ask if I'm showing P.O.D on the app daily and closing out each stop, how is it possible for me to have it missing on my check. After sending emails, I have to wait to get paid on another pay period after they verify that I was dispatched stop.

Happy Holidays. Thats the harsh reality of dealing with 3PLs.
