Loved this video. I am getting either one or two Brittanys in late August. I will definitely be trying out this bird introduction technique. Do you have any other puppy training videos? Any videos specifically about working on retrieving with a young puppy? Thanks and love your videos!
One of my favorite puppy videos! Do you have any Brittany breeders up there in Michigan that you would suggest? Or any that you may have had a good experience with?
New to your channel, this is only my second Uplander video. It's SO nice to see another amateur dog trainer who fully understands and appreciates the value of these "playtime" sessions pups are first introduced to birds. That Fox is a scorcher! Great job, Chris (in Maine)
Thanks Chris! They're little sponges at this age and only know what you put in front of them. Many will argue they don't need to see birds at this age, or have playtime like this. But its an impression that the first thing the dog knows is fun is birds, and that will last a lifetime in my opinion.
Bought Brittany off breeder off 53 north of marlette.. found road killed rooster early in the day . Went to pick out the puppy I layed that bird down all puppies ran over got excited then lost interest all but one female she locked up hard on that bird . Guys wife was up in the house had to ask how I knew she was the one with the strongest instinct.. she was heck of bird dog but never could get her to point woodcock just had no interest in it . She made great deer recovery dog too I never had to blood trail.. she normally have it found within 2 min
Thanks for following along! Our kennel name is under Uplander. Shoot me an email if you want to talk more about dogs, appreciate it! uplander18@gmail.com
Watching these dogs naturally hunt just excites me so much. What an awesome experience
I’ve got three Brittany pointers and in 2018 we had a litter of 6 pups and kept 2 of em. They truly make the most beautiful pups
So enjoyed watching this. We had our beloved Gracie for 15 years. She was an awesome hunting dog. I miss her very much.
I'm sure you and Gracie had many fond memories together to enjoy forever. Glad you had fun watching the pups!
Get another one Rhonda! I’m 71 and have two, waiting for a third…they keep me young!
Enjoyed the video, nothing like a pack of Brittany puppies. Fox is a cutie for sure.
Amen to that. Thanks Dan!
Wow! Those are such beautiful pups! So fun and amazing. You do a great job with them. I am impressed.
Thank you ❤️
Great looking puppies, looks like they liked the bird intro hopefully they keep up the great drive
Thanks man, should be fun!
Very excited pups! I do basically the same thing, but pinion the bird first. All my dogs live to hunt birds! Thanks! 😊
This is pretty good stuff I love seeing how some dogs show their true instincts immediately even threw a few points in there
That was awesome footage.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Oh! I have a male Brittany named Opie. ❤
He popped his head up when you said, “You want the bird”? 🤭
Where are you located? Nice video btw....LOVE seeing this.
Thank you! We are Northeast of Flint.
@Uplander Oh no kidding. Cool I'm down in the Jackson area.
I am a new subscriber. I have had American Brittany's all my life. I would like to know if the liver and white, mostly liver color is for sale?
Hey Sir, love your content, wondering do you have a kennel by a different name? How would one procure one of your pups?
