We've had a Brittany in our lives for over 50 years. We just lost our beloved Brittany TJ 2 months ago from terminal cancer. We got him at 6 weeks old and lost him at 15 years old. We've lost a child, my other heartmate and his dad's best friend. Our hearts are shattered, he was spoiled beyond measure and loved, lovely and loving. He will be missed forevermore. I knew every single solitary thing you pointed out, they also are incredibly intelligent TJ potty trained himself at 8 weeks old and even as he started failing he never pottied in the house.❤❤
Raised two siblings French Britney's. The most lovable dogs ever had. Speckles lived 16 yrs 2 mo. 6/27/22. Minnie lived 17yrs 5 mo. 8/1/23. . We now have Canton 4 yr 10mo. All females.
I thought they were known as velcro dogs because of all the "velcro" plants that end up sticking to them when out in nature... And they are still used as pointer / bird dogs because they are quite good at marking the out .. as for keeping them on a leash because of that .. tell that to cat owners dogs usually wont be able to catch it unless the bird itself is sick meaning it cant fly to get away.
