    Hul’q’umi’num’ is a Coast Salish language spoken on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.

    We are Coast Salish. Our home is along the Salish Sea on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada, and the neighboring islands. The Hul’q’umi’num’ dialect is spoken by the Snaw-naw-as, Snuneymuxw, Stz’uminus, Penelakut, Halalt, Quw’utsun’, and Malahat people and their relatives living among the neighbouring Coast Salish peoples.
