Science isn't equivalent to materialism / physicalism, it's empirical which means it deals with sensory experience, "Physical" usually implies the existence of the non-empirical physical as well ie what you sense is still there even when not sensed, one could argue that science does deal with the empirical physical & assumes the non-empirical physical, however even that doesn't mean it is equivalent to materialism/ physicalism as that requires an extra step suggesting that nothing else exists apart from those & in fact most of scientific data is falsified hypotheses ie the null hypothesis, which is about things that have no existence. The non-empirical physical could be described as metaphysical. There's also panprotopsychism which suggests that in physical things, there resides a property that is the basis for consciousness, I would suggest it is responsiveness, for instance if you kick a stone an impact wave propagates through it & it moves, it has experience, even though there's apparently no memory, consciousness could be a multiple & reflexive form of this.
This is a great series. Long overdue. You are in the forefront
Are you ever going to get past finding and presenting evidence, and onto the subject, the tyranny of materialism? You should do a time stamp on this.
Fascinating - many thanks
facinating
