Arcangelo's success is a tribute to the late great Arrogate an incredible horse gone too soon at only 7 years old. Arrogate passed on his greatness to this beautiful colt. I wish there had been some mention of Arrogate and how special he was. Arcangelo looks so much like his sire.
I hear you! What a horse Arrogate was and I like seeing his progeny succeed….
A great storyline for this years Belmont race, that dark grey definitely showed heart. Congrats to the team.
The great, mighty Arrogate. Gone far too soon, but sired a KY Oaks winner and a Belmont Stakes winner in the infancy of his sire years. I think he only foaled 3 crops. We witnessed his greatness once again in the form of Arcangelo, a magnificent gray with tremendous talent and heart. It has already been 3+ years since Arrogate’s passing. A devastating blow. May we see much more of this beauty on the race track!
Always appreciate your videos! Thanks so much for sharing the events/places/horses for those of us who can't be there in person. Especially love your behind the scenes footage on the backside of works +washes, etc.
What a great Belmont day, salute to the immortal Secretariat and to Arcangelo and Jenna Antonucci!!
Thanks for watching!! I’m glad you enjoyed!
I second that, @CastleMc! ❤
You got the best horse racing channel by far on you tube. Congrats to Arcangelo by the great late sire Arogate
Thanks for watching!
Arcangelo congratulations you'll always be a Champion!
❤🐎🏇🎉.
Fantastic pre and post coverage, thank you as Fox’s coverage was more interested in their talented staff. Arrogate now with a classic female winner in Secret Oath and now Arcangelo in the Belmont, brilliant as a sire too.
Thanks for watching!
GREAT video!! I was looking everywhere for Jena’s smooch to Arc. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
So appreciative of your videos. And thank you for including sire, dam and damsire - I miss that in the Fox broadcast, especially in the undercard races
Always bet the grey lol. The winner and 3rd place horses were grey. Congratulations to Antonucci for making history!!
Thank you to the one who is making all these videos APharoah12. Really enjoy them. Arrogate what could have been. 2 classic winners from his limited crop.
Thanks for watching!
@Apharoah12 that was a great video, once again you surpassed the TV broadcast by miles. Loved your coverage. Was so disappointed watching the race on Fox: no audio in our area and terrible photography. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy the different aspects of that momentous occasion. You did a fantastic job, as always!
Thanks for watching!!
Está carrera la ganó el mejor jinete , que inteligente la forma como lo condujo
Vean bien la carrera
Éxitos
Correcto
Beautiful horse, great ride!! Congratulations to the team!!
You have my like because your videos are way better than TV coverage. Well done 👏👏👏
Thanks for watching!
MUCH better than FOX, thank you.
Thanks for watching!
Felicitaciones para nuestro conterraneo Javier Castellanos por el gran triunfo obtenido..En hora buena...
my gosh, the gallop out! you couldn't tell that on the Fox coverage, I had no idea! he went Secretariat on the rest of the field - Forte, Tapit Trice & Hit Show/Angel of Empire timed their closes perfectly, & made admirable runs, because Arcangelo clearly wasn't slowing down, but as soon as they crossed the wire, Forte, Tapit Trice & Hit Show/Angel of Empire slowed down dramatically, but Arcangelo just kept galloping like one of those jumps runners who just gallops along for four miles
...and so funny to see Maggie take off on her buckskin pony, to do the interview, hehe
You have the best video’s! Thank you for all your hard work!
Thanks for watching!!
It was "meant to be", Javier is having a great year, riding a long time, paid his dues, these are the spoils, congratulation, to the owner, trainer, jockey, groom, and the fabulous, Arrogate, for a wonderful son to continue the legacy, well deserved.
Baffert did not look too happy with the ride Velasquez gave his horse.
So happy for Jena and the connections... awesome story and love the emotion after the race..and the legendary Tom Durkin with the call!! Although I couldn't hear his voice towards the end of the race and his voice was cracking I think 😂... anyway he is still legendary
Qué belleza Javier qué te triple corones junto arcangelo Dios te bendiga
Congratulations on 10,000 subs, youre doing great! Thank you for all of your personal coverage of thesr races. ❤
Thanks for the support! I’m glad you enjoy watching!
Thank you Sean for the awesome video!!!! I’m so happy they won 😊
Thanks for watching!
I hope Cave Rock (another Arrogate colt) gets back to his winning ways. Two great colts by a sire we lost way too soon.
R.I.P Arrogate
Unfortunately RIP also for Cave Rock.
Just like his sire Arrogate, still on his toes after a big race.
I hope more of his foals succeed and continue his great legacy.
Bravo!
Great footage AParoah12
Thanks for watching!
Thank you very much!
Enjoyed the video!
Thanks for watching!
Great video! Thanks! Plus, I learned that "You don't need a million dollar horse!" Who knew?🤷♀️
Thanks for watching!! Who would’ve guessed that! Lol
Great video!
Thanks for watching!

How r u
Well done
Nice footage and
lay out. Thanks much
Thanks for watching!!
Congrats to Jena the trainer,John the owner and Castellanos the jockey, Nice group of people surrounding Arcangelo.
So tickled for Archangelo! He was my pick, after watching workout footage of him earlier in the week, and hearing he is a son of Arrogate. Arrogate died far too young.
I Archangelo last minute everybody talking about Jena Congrats trailblazer Awesome 💯 Ok

Thank you.😊
I need to study up on my bloodlines. LOTS of these colts were Tapit bred either on the top or bottom side. Since the winner was distaff bred, he must be a good mare sire. I rarely have seen one sire listed that many times in one race. But maybe I'm just an old fuddy duddy and he's super famous. Wish I had a large heart mare to breed to Tapit.
Tapit is one of the greatest sires in history no doubt. His stud fee was once the highest in the world when he was younger ($300,000!!!!). He has sired 4 belmont stakes winners. He has sired 157 stakes winners, 30 (I guess now 31) grade 1 winners and 8 champions. Including last years topped ranked racehorse in the world Flightline (had the highest rating in timeform ever recorded in the USA and the 2nd highest ever just behind Frankel).
I heard the lady talking in the background, saying, You don't need a million dollar horse. That's true, you don't. Mine That Bird only cost $9500 when he was bought. He easily won the Kentucky derby in 2009.
What a great horse. To only have 4 career starts and to dominate the Belmont Stakes. One of the last son’s of Arrogate.
hopefully this horse does not retire after this year and runs a few more years - sadly though its likely off to the breeding shed
Fantastic job Sean! 👏
Thanks for watching!
Should have been Named the TAPIT Stakes judging by the lineage... sheesh, I recall Deputy Minister having his bloodline thru so many Derby/TC Races Horses in 70's and beyond. Tapit is right there now.
BTW - AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME footage. THANKS!
2/3 of the horses have Tapit either as sire or dam sire.
Beautifully edited
Very nice 👍
some great shots here!
Thanks for watching!!
We could call this The Tapit Derby.
Six of the horses( in Belmont stakes)were sons or grandsons of Tapit, icluding the winner. Remember Flightline!!!...Actually Tapit is the Best stallion and broodmaresire in U.S.A and maybe the world
.
That’s one handsome fella
I was disappointed that they didn't stick to tradition and play Frank Sinatra's version of New York New York.
Ditto! Sinatra is so much better. I mute it when I was watching Fox.
شكرا 💐
Congratulations
Good channel
Thanks for watching!
@@apharoah12 you well come
Hey APharoah12. Did you get a chance to hear Tom Durkin’s call of the Belmont Stakes?
I watched the replay afterwards. John Imbriale was the announcer for the track
🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎🐎
Jena two big stakes in a row....who could have guess that? Happy for her.
Ya a woman trainer has broke through the glass ceiling and win over the big boy so great we ladies of the horse world are so proud of ms Jena and her win sooooo proud
Is awesome look’s Arcangelo with his father Arrogate!! One blood that fare away is valuable!
Bad ride by Prat on #8 AOE. 5 wide on the 1st turn pretty much sealed his fate!
Just Like Arrogate, Arcangelo Has A Big Fighting Heart...
Could someone shut that woman..."you don't need a million dollar horse" . We heard her the first 25 times.
You got that right!
It was actually a man lol. I kept looking at him like please shut up lol
@@apharoah12😂😂😂😂
I picked Forte to win. His jockey needs to have him be near the lead. Like he ran in the Florida Derby , ten weeks ago.
I had the winner as my 3rd choice. He was in my Pick 3, pick 4 , pick 5 and pick 6 combinations.
So, I won on all 4 tickets, anyway.
He was a wreck in the saddle up area also, constantly fighting the handlers and spooking. That wore him down a lot also.
Not saying poor riding didn’t help, but using up your energy before a race doesn’t help.
He was obviously held back
Felicitaciones a todo el equipo
Todos los caballos con guiados por 2 personas que mal se ve hay caballos que si lo necesitan
Was looking like Baffert wanted some answers?
It could have been the distance that killed National Treasure.
The distance is a lot longer and I don’t think he even ran in the Derby. The fact the rail wasn’t used and he shot up to the front in a longer distance didn’t help.
I am alive see alot more of shows different kind
Love the voice in the background…not a million dollar horse! It only takes one horse to win!
Tapit has done most of the running at Belmont
No more than anybody else,he ran well but is a bit overrated,it just takes him way to long to get going,he basically runs the same race every time except the blue grass where he was a bit closer
@@BryantBrothers-gm1qx I think they are talking about Tapit Trice's sire Tapit. And you seem to be talking about Tapit Trice. Tapit has sired 4 belmont winners and is the broodmare sire or sire to most horses in this belmont field including the winner (broodmare sire).
Tapit got grandkids and kids out there he got around 😂
Saya sangat mengagumi sukan ini dan juga kepada kuda² ini, ia sangat tinggin dan juga mereka sangat² perkasa, and very shine horse
Congratulations to the Arcangelo connections and bettors, I had Forte and just missed but 2nd place is the first loser.
now I want a mint julep.
EN ESTÁ CARRERA VAS A CONDUCIR EL CABALLO 🐎#9 EL JINETE JOEL ROSARIOS DOMINICANOS
lol did you teleport to your seats? 🤣🤣🤣
I do a lot of running on these days lol
@@apharoah12Well, we sure appreciate you! You put all of us there who can't. Thanks so much!
@@apharoah12 My guy lol you have to be super quick to be able to catch them leaving the paddock & still got the post parade!! Hope you enjoyed it here @ Belmont!
Why did they keep #6 so far out
in my opinion #6 was held back
#6 was even held at the finishing line
THE MANAGER AWESOME THE ONE THE ONLY THE MANAGER
Love seeing a natural infield….you know the view is not blocked by too much stuff…..
What abt forte?
The horse beat all the million dollar horses Iam so happy for her.
From now on it will be Forte....if he is not retired cause of a bad foot.
23:06 Was Baffert mad about Johnny V's ride? That horse was gassed and staggered across the wire. Maybe don't work the horse a fast 6f between the Preakness and Belmont?
So many of the Dams of these colts sired by Tapid.
Looks like Mr. Baffert not happy.
1 horse how many usd ha bro????
THE MANAGER OF YONKERS RACE WAY SAYS HELLO THE ONE THE ONLY THE MANAGER
someone should let that lady talking in the background the whole time know that you dont need million dollar horses to win. I mean you really dont need million dollar horses to win, she might want to know im telling you.
Tapit sons and grandsons.
You don't need a million dollar horse!
Lol! That cracked me up. Archangelo may have been a bargain but his bloodlines are as good as it gets! 😃
Someone sure was running their mouth in the background!
That the final time for the Bad horse win i don't belived forte lost with this horse is like I said make this Bad jockey win the Belmont stake to Made the Hall of fame of the Bad jockey i don't belived Bad time with Bad horse and Bad jockey jajajaja
To put it in perspective, Secretariat, the goat, beat this horse by over 5 seconds which is over 30 lengths. Just sayin.
@Steve…Anyone who knows anything about horse racing can see that the track was slow . I would like to check the track variant. In the earlier race , the Met Mile Cody’s Wish had a final time of 1:38:40 which wasn’t very good either.
I’ll have to retract my comment about Cody’s Wish my time was unofficial the correct time was 1:34: and change.
Apparently you don't need a million dollar horse in order to win. :)
When is the last time Jr gave up the rail .
Apparently, you don't need a million dollar horse!!!!
Who would’ve guessed!?
Arcagelo is the copy of your dad Arrogate the best horse
The woman say it. You dont need a million dollar horse.
Why did it take so incredibly long for someone to spray this horse down with water and offer him a drink. That makes no sense to me. He just ran a mile and a half in June, in hot weather.
19th century racehorses used to run 4-mile heats in the same kind of weather.
When humans finish a marathon, they do not immediately slam a quart of water. There is cool down period.
@@mikeuyeda2330 good point. Horses could probably easily colick if given water too soon. Isn’t colic the number one killer of horses?
@@victorcornet21 Yes it is and it happens so fast. Many are dead within an hour!
@@victorcornet21 It would at the best be (depending on the severity) career ending. At the worst, fatal.
Horses can’t throw up, so they can get extremely sick from drinking too much too fast and soon. All grooms, handlers and jockeys know this and are extremely careful about how they slow down, cool off and let the horses drink after a race like this.
Also, it’s completely obvious that this horse is extremely well loved and cared for. The owner and trainer would give him water if she thought it was safe earlier to do so.
EDIT TO ADD: Run a mile and a half, in weather like this. Or even July or August and right afterwards take an ice cold hose or shower and wash yourself down to cool off as soon as you stop running. If you’re lucky, you’ll be fine. Which is a miracle.
Most likely you’ll be suffering from muscle pain and stress, severe shock (abruptness of temperature can put animals and humans in shock, that’s why it’s so critical in extreme cold or heat exposure to slowly change their temperature, too fast can kill more likely than not doing anything), and severe stress to your body.
Another reason they gallop a quarter of a mile to a half after the race, to let the horse slow down slowly so he can adjust to the change of speed.
this was the worst broadcast of a race i ever seen ! could not watch it was so bad fox tv destroyed a great day!
Coverage should be open so it gets out there from many sources, but they think too small to see it as they focus on who covers and sees it. I would let everyone broadcast an event so it would grow and get a vastly larger audience and the best coverage. Small thinkers = so so coverage and smaller audiences.
Thanks for the comment I agree 100%. The panel was boring and as much as I revere Tom Durkin, New York Racing is called by Johnny I period.
Good to know. Makes me glad I don't have TV anymore. Also annoying that they cut off the Livestream at post time unless you subscribe to the channel. That makes no sense. We still have to watch the commercials, so the advertisers are getting what they paid for. It should be like watching it on network TV. What's the diff if I watch it on cable or on YT?
Anyway this channel is the BEST coverage, and worth the wait to see it later.
@@bernadettecartin Even better to watch at home with replay handy 🙂
This is not a triple crown horse or even a race! It’s just one race
Dunno...first time win...she don't look like she can run all that fast...
Good video,u r the best. These r all beautifull , gorgeous horses. Sometimes I wish that the owners n trainers had four legs, n the horses 2 legs. Just saying!!!!
