Bella Sara was a trading card and internet game in the noughties targeting girls, and we lost it to the flash purges. It marked my childhood, and I wanted to recount my experience of the franchise in what I hope is interesting for initiates and newbies alike.
Mostly, I made this video with people who already know the franchise in mind, because I didn’t really think it would get an audience outside that, so I’m really sorry if it is a little difficult to follow for any newbies… If I notice that there is an interest in it, I would be willing to make a vid or two about Bella Sara that are more generally accessible.
Between my cheap mic and the poor audio quality of the Bella Sara OST, audio is a little rough this video. I’m trying to get better at audio mixing, but I think it’s time to acknowledge that I really need to do something about my mic. Does anyone have mic recommendations? Any tips are appreciated!

Oh my, I was the BIGGEST fan of BellaSara growing up! I still have all my cards and the DS game!! I even had a folder exclusively for my shiny cards, they were my most priced possession. My big sister and I used to play the online game all the time, it really brought us close together. Thank you so much for the rush of nostalgia! I was born and raised in Denmark, and I've been a fan since I was like 6-7 years old. Im turning 22 this month!!
I was OBSESSED with Bella Sara as a kid. I still have every single card I ever had in a custom binder (aka a purple binder decorated in Bella Sara stickers)
It’s amazing to see someone talking about this! I never hear about it anymore. It was a huge part of my journey as an artist. And the reason I can still draw horses to this day.
I guess we don't hear much about it, because mostly people thought of it as pretty horse cards, and most did not know that there was so much lore (tbh including myself) and maybe therefore did not connect on a deeper level with it? But they were pretty, undeniably... it's great that they inspired you!

I grew up with Bella Sara, and it shaped me into the person I am today, as cheesy as that may sound. I went through a lot of difficult times throughout my life, so as overdramatic as it may seem, I'd even go as far as to say that the franchise saved my life, keeping me from ending it all when things seemed so terrible. I thank you so much for this video, and I'm excited to see what else you may make, whether they're related to Bella Sara or not.

this was such a nice video on this topic (i've seen many) and i love your accent so much. my number one memory about the bella sara adventures component of the browser game was a HACK i used to get As Many Horseshoes at once As Possible... I'm almost embarrassed to say it, but I realized that the horses in the game would pay you five horseshoes if you fed them their favorite fruit or vegetable. I realized that Winterberry grew the fastest (it was the tutorial crop) and I found the horse whose favorite berry it was (I think it was Jewel). Then, I'd locate a large plot of land and plant hundreds (literally hundreds) of winterberry trees, harvest them all, and trade them to Jewel for her horseshoes. I got back into collecting the trading cards recently, and You're correct in pointing out that different collectors have different goals in building their collections. My aim is to collect artwork from only my favorite artists throughout the series, and trying to limit my collecting to only non-foils of those artists to best represent their artwork. My favorites were Rebecca Guay, Jennifer Meyer, Heather Theurer, and Stephanie Pui-Mun. I only have 3 cards left to find, childhood me would be beside herself! I would love more of this content if you are willing to share more of your thoughts.

@talkytilki I am missing the Dreamer promo, Peppermint, and carosel honora. Id like to show people my collection at some point once I finish it. I'm so sad that flash died and killed those browser games. I got super stuck in bella sara adventures too (I didn't even get as far in the storyline as you did. I could still farm and everything but I couldn't figure out what I needed to do next in the quest. I wanted to meet little cartoon Lien so bad
