Hey! Some updates & corrections: There is an interview with Elisa Rosselli (hard to find because it is unlisted), where she reveals that she ended up coming up with ‘Segui il Ritmo’ with Aisha in mind without it being asked of her, and Straffi liked it enough that it ended up on the album and in other promo material. Also I made a mistake with the release date of Winx in Concert: Winx CLUB in Concert (original title) was released before season 4, with the few brief bits of season 4 footage serving as an exciting tease for fans at the time. The album was later re-branded and re-released as Winx in Concert. x. Intro: 00:00 Pixie Magazine: 00:15 Straffi's accusations against Mattel: 01:49 Fairy Holidays: 04:40 Improper crediting: 06:31 Non-show outfits: 08:32 Stand Up!: 10:52 Cinema release: 13:05 Winx in Concert: 15:00 Simba 'in Concert' dolls: 18:47 Thirza Solcer as Bloom: 20:22 Conclusion: 23:00
Here's a pretty weird one, as a European watching Winx and finding the English dubs way later, the German version has a different opening song for the first season that I cannot find in any other language? The opening of the English first season is the opening of the German 3rd Season. If you want to look up the opening (It's an absolute banger imo), it's titled "Heller als Licht". Link here if you're lazy: ruclips.net/video/Hio4tffwq2o/видео.html Also let me know if it does exist in other languages because that would be amazing
@@phoekneex3214 That's an opening theme unique to your country :D And I agree that it's incredible All other dubs used the translated Italian opening except for a 4kids one Although there are fan covers of the German theme! I know of English and Russian ones
Do you have any socials where we can chat about favorite obscure magical girl topics, so that I don't have to spam the comment section of your videos ? xD
hey! i've been meaning to set up an insta for the channel! I'll get on that this weekend, and let you know! (and no,😅 i literally have no other socials, i live under a glittery pink rock) looking forward to chatting x
As a American Winx fan, when i was old enough to get on my family’s computer back in the 2000’s I would look up anything winx, which is how I found the Rai English version of the show and even the live shows. I was so in awe of it, even if I didn’t understand the language. I was just so happy to see more content of my favorite show.
One fun little detail from the magazine is that they made up a whole new zodiac system for worldbuilding. Every girl has a unique sign, griffin instead of aries, neireid instead of virgo and so on. I'm not sure how that would work since our astrology is based on the night sky of a single planet and the magic dimension has so many. But it's cute, I like it.
OMG I remember that!!! I was Triton (Sagittarius)! (I remember being confused, because there was also a centaur, and typically Sag is the centaur.) But ngl I don't think I ever realised that it was Winx exclusive lore? Wow. I think as a child I just thought it was an alternative way of naming constellations... 🙈😂🥹I have to look this up now!
@@talkytilki Yeah, I was really captured by how interesting this was when I stumbled up on charmix guide book. : ) Also I found out there that Griffin also had her own pixie called Discorda. I didn't know that witches also have pixie fairies. She was also mentioned in some story books.
@@antigonarosaura7845 Ohh, than I made a mistake because I assumed that its specifically grifin's . She was always with Griffin. So than its' like with Concorda in Alfea : )
As a German fan who only majorly got into Winx after the cinema releases of the movies, I was frustrated beyond belief at having missed them. It would have been a great experience, I'm sure. I absolutely love Stand Up and Winx in Concert. I listened to them religiously back in middle school and still listen to it and some of the other tracks sometimes. There were a lot of infos in this video that I previously didn't know about, thank you for making this!
Winx in concert is a hidden gem. I listened to it for the first time in summer of 2012. and I stil love to get back to those songs now and then. Flora's is my apsolute favorite as well as "fly". : D It's a shame that we haven't got serbian dub of these amazing songs, italian and english are awesome as well !
i think the pixie brand was an interesting experement rainbow tried to do when trying to make a new "girls" franchise as winx club was gonna end at the time and how rainbow jsust erased the brand after 2012 when they relised "we are safe now under viacom winx club is still around we dont need this"
Mmm yeah. I would also say though, Pixie was originally intended for a younger audience than Winx, but once Winx started becoming less mature, then it lost its meaning, because now their main show was covering that same niche.
since I am an American Winx fan, I didn't grow up in a popular place where foreign items were available. I only had access to the episodes and shows and owned a few dolls. BUT WATCHING THIS VIDEO I LEARNED I MISSED OUT ON SO MUCH! If I could get my hands on the comics or find a way to watch the live shows, I totally would!
Here in Serbia, we've got many winx books translated into Serbian and "Fairy holidays" was one of them. I accidentally picked it up with a few others from my local library and I had a good memories when it comes to this book. I also remember reading through love & pet books and charmix and enchantix books which were more of a guides through all winx forms, outtfits and other characters and creatures from the magical dimension. I used to lip through them in a store while I was waiting for my mum to finnish shopping. xD
Hello! I think I found it (Čarobni raspust?). And same, I was always by the Winx merch, waiting for my mum to finish up 😂. Winx was just everywhere back then, and just part of everyday life, so seeing the merch, the books, and just all the physical items is so so nostalgic...
@@talkytilki Yes, čarobni raspust is its serbian name. : ) Ahh, I misss the good old days when winx merch was practiccaly everywhere. We even used to have winx-themed bubble gums, lolly-pops, flips and chocolate eggs with surprises inside. : D
Yesss... the Winx kinder eggs!!! At one point there were Pixie ones too! I'm sure you're aware though of the current Italian mega Kinder eggs with the Winx figures from the new season? I've been meaning to go to a local Italian supermarket to see if maybe they've got them... (maybe I'll do that today 🤔)
@@talkytilki I meant winx-themed chocolate eggs made by sadly now non-existant serbian company called Luxor. Inside there were bracelets (each was in the respective theme color of mane 6 fairies) and a little heart-shaped notebook with one of the fairies on the front cover. : ) Kinder eggs were amazing too, but I've never had luck with them, I always got trashy products instead of main cartoon of the collection stuff xD Aniway, good luck with your winx-egg hunt ! : D
I'm European so Winx played a huge role in my upbringing and I'm going to be honest, although the Barbie dolls are quite big, at least where I grew up in Italy, the Barbie movie franchise isn't, and it's quite hard to find them, Winx however is always playing somewhere, and the dolls are everywhere ❤
The fairytopia thing would actually kinda make sense. Maybe I’m just biased because I love fairytopia and mermaidia, but really don’t like the magic of the rainbow. The dolls look so different from the previous two movies, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they were trying to differentiate them from previous barbie looks.
i love this commment so much, I used to love Fairytopia and Mermadia too and i feel the same about magic of the rainbow but i still have the DVDs...it's just to find them...
Oh my, you brought so many memories back! I agree with all the things you mentioned. I am especially sad we don't talk enough about the non-show ICONIC looks (I love them so much), the songs (I listen to them unironically as well. They're bops sorry not sorry haha) and even the comics. Now I know a lot of countries didn't get the chance to have the Winx magazines. But I'm so saddened to see that almost no one talks about them in the community. They were my most precious items as a child, the stories were great (especially that love spell one), and we got so see these incredible non-show looks in these comics. And how can we forget about the posters that were included, my bedroom walls were the prettiest. I still read the magazines from time to time, and I strongly recommend them to any Winx fan!
Hey! To be honest, I have so many video ideas based on the comics and the magazines, but because they were more obscure, I'm worried that nobody would be interested... So it feels like I have to artificially drum up interest for them first 😅 I think the next vid might be about the comics 👀👀👀 (but I keep saying that and it's not been true yet...🙈)
@@talkytilki I totally get it, but hey who knows, by promoting them, more people may get interested and make them more popular? Finger crossed that one day they get the recognition they deserve ♥
@@talkytilki I'm an administrator on Romanian Winx Club Fandom site and for me it would be such a good video to eatch and learn from. I'm an older fan now but I still love to write on wiki/fandom about Winx Club related things. Right now I just add a few articles about the comics. Here in Romania we didn't have many mech or objects like dools or other but we did have some magazines and some videos in 2004-2007 I guess.....now they are gone. Not to mention more of them were in english ....and now they just dissapeared. Honestly is amusing since Romanian and Italian are very much alike. Also seasons that were dubbed are from seadon 5, 6 and 7 but the other they just don't exist....not in a dvd format at least. Funny though on youtube I found them dubbed the first seasons as well.
As a Brazilian fan, that luckily had it very early on including the magazines, way back in the 2004. I do find it fascinating to learn certain things about the Winx, including the European side of things that never got around here. I still have to check my collection to see if the Artists are properly credited and if I'm not mistaken, we actually do have certain things that never showed up in other countries. Winx was very popular around here, and thankfully the dub was great keeping most of the actresses for the past 15 years, we sadly lost 2 of our dub actresses way back in 2021- Stella- Ana Lúcia Menezes and Iara Riça- Tecna. And it did help to keep it consistent, I can't watch Winx with different voices.
I knew about the stand up song because I have the full Italian album, but for why it wasn't used, I have no idea. It'd fit a dancing party scene imo. My guess is they made the song and thought it sounded good but couldn't find a scene that fits it so they just added it on the album so it doesn't go to waste.
I actually watched secret of the lost kingdom in cinema on my 7th birthday (I’m from Germany) and it’s one of my fondest memories. All my friends who loved winx just as much as me were there, my dad got off from work just to be there, I got my presents in the cinema and afterwards we all went to McDonald’s. It was a truly magical day
About the books, there is a book that has a little Icy origin story that contradicts the canon. Icy wanted to enter Alfea, and she liked Sky, she asked him out and he turned her down. Due to his rejection she became a witch.
Loved this video. As an og Winx fan there’s actually so much I don’t know about the franchise and fandom still and you highlighted some stuff I was oblivious to here. I went to 2 winx shows, one of them was on ice. I don’t remember much but I do recall the long lines at the end to take pictures with with characters. I will always cherish those photos. I find it so funny and awesome how some dubs have actual celebrities of their own country attached to the brand, in Portugal a very popular girlband at the time gave voice to 4 winx and did the soundtrack of the 1st movie too.
12:00 Funfact, when I was little and I used to watch RaiGulp (I'm italian) there were a few shows that used that song, they were winx themed, like, the first one was a dancing show, like there was that girl that represents Aisha and she would tell how to dance, when she was dancing there would be a winx song, the main theme of the show was Stand Up. There also was a similar show, but this time about cooking, around after the 3rd movie, but this one had newer songs
OMGGGG that's so exciting. I've been obsessed with this song forever, I'm so excited to learn anything about it!!! Thank you! Is there anywhere I can find these shows? That dancing show with Aisha sounds exactly like the kind of thing that I love to dive into unreasonably deep.
@@talkytilki I don't know, at that time online streaming didn't really exist, maybe they uploaded it to RaiPlay or someone uploaded them to youtube, but I can't remember how it was called, I sadly can't help more than that :(
I also adored "Stand up ! " and the first time I've heaard this song was in the time when I used to be obssesed with scrolling between different winx commercials and I was curious about merch that other countries had. There was an italian commercial for the lsecret of the lost kingdom's OST which used this song and girls had winx headphones in their ears and they were dancing outside in the middle of a street or something like that. So that TV spot made me to fall in love with that song, It's stil a dancing bop !
personally I especially love the german version of stand up, I remember finding it and being so confused why I never saw it in the film when I was little
I do remember pixie magazine! Funnily enough I didn't even realize it was attached to Winx back then and only realized rewatching winx when i was older
i'm italian , and i remember that when i was a kid there was this amusement park in which they recreated alfea. I wanted to go there so badly !! One of my friend had been there and she brought me some merchandise... now i think it doesn't exist anymore :(
I watched lost kindom first and series like a year later. I kinda understood how it was. I understood that the series are what all led to lost kingdom. Like a flasback thing. And I was like 5.
OH MY GOD.WINX IN CONCERT. It was big part of winx fandom in my country and it was SO GOOD. i love my language dubbing (polish by Ola Szwed- if you're curious i recomment "raj jest uśmiechem" it's "the chiwambo song") it was so fun and you know what? im literally going to listen to all songs rn. Thank you for reminding me of those amazing memories
As a French Winx fan, I remember that when we were little, my friends and I, we each liked to play a Winx and we would replay the episodes in the yard, it occupied most of our recess. PS : I also think that Thirza Solcer is the best representation of a live action's Bloom
I love your Videos like this. Just plain winx talk. As someone who has been a Fan for like 16 years now I really enjoy this. Side note: Winx in concert was released in January 2009, before season 4. I remember the few scenes of s4 used in the Videos were our first glimpse into the season. Exciting times for baby me and a lot of Fans 🤭
I'm really glad you enjoyed! 😸 And thank you for the correction! I can see I made the typical mistake of confusing 'Winx in Concert' (Dec 2009) with 'Winx CLUB in Concert' (original release)...
the entire line that musa is from had the outfit be just one color, sometimes a vastly different one from the primary color on the og outfit Aisha actually looks the most similar, but the green-ish and pink-ish accents are swapped to be teal also Bloom has a fully red outfit which wasn't anywhere in the og colors Flora's is fully pink, no green or yellow accents anywhere Musa's is blue like you said Stella's is fully yellow, no orange or purple or pink Tecna's is fully purple, no green accents anywhere I think they just wanted to have a more gimmicky line, tho i don't know why
This aired on pop girl in the UK and citv if I remember. Yes, we also got the 4 kids' dubbed version, but I do recall seeing a winx club magazine in Italy
Magical adventure was the first movie i ever went to watch at the cinema. But sadly it was never released in dvd in Greece so the greek dub is completely lost:((
I’m an American fan, and I was into it around like 2014 and after, so a lot of this is would have escaped me anyway, but for the most part I was completely unaware of everything you brought up in this video.
hey! next vid is definitely going to be on the comics! another list type video to begin with (just because it is a very busy time within the academic year, so I don't currently have time to do more essay type vids) about the alternative canon of the Winx comics (major ways it diverges from the show, differences in characterisation etc.). But I also have videos scripted going in to detail about the comics' storytelling choices and treatment of different issues like environmentalism, internet safety, don't-do-magic-sweets-kids... I am really excited to talk about the comics more (since I read them more than I watched the show), but because they are less known in the fandom, it feels like I have to drum up interest for them first. x
Omg i feel so nostalgic bcuz Winx was really popular in Turkey. The group you mentioned at 12:35 is called Hepsi and they were the biggest turkish group at the time. They sang most Winx songs so most kids would associate them with Winx girls kinda like the live versions of them ahaha
I first got into winx as a kid when it premieres the season 1 specials on Nickelodeon. When I first got access to the internet, I would find videos of Winx and that's how I found the songs from winx the concert. My favourite was dreaming in my way. It's also how I found the other dubs. I also found the live shows but as a kid, I wasn't interested partially due to the language barrier.
12:29 you may not have lot’s of subscribers on the you tube but you’ve won lot’s hearts from Turkish Winx Fans! Grup Hepsi was one of the iconic 2000s girls group. One singer called Gülçin has the one of the powerfull vocals it really add’s it factor in the songs. Yasemin, Cemre and Eren’s voices are good too! They have unique in their way.
I feel like the Winx franchise needs a 'Book of the Animated Series' like Avatar does for example and it would probably help spread the knowledge about the comic artists, and pre-production team.
As a young kid in Sweden I remember a comic/book where Tecna pretended to be a robot or something like that. I can’t really remember anything else sadly
I think you may be talking about Comic #30 Love for Layla, where Tecna hides inside an advisor-robot in order to talk to her father...(😂😂😂I promise it makes sense in context.)
I don't know how obscure it is bc i stumbled over this video by accident. But I remember loving the winx soundtrack from the early seasons, but as far as I know - at least the German intro song was different. A whole unique song that is just such a banger.
As far as Winx In Concert is concerned, I must say as an Italian fan since 2004 that the CD/DVD was actually released in Italy before Season 4 and not after. Maybe in other countries it happened more after but here the release date was between the end of Winx On Ice and the beginning of the fourth season
Hi, yes thank you! I'm really sorry I made this mistake: "Winx Club in Concert" was released before Season 4, and then for some reason it was re-released as "Winx in Concert" in December 2009. I confused the dates, because I was working off of the assumption it was called "Winx in Concert".😓
@@talkytilki don’t worry! It happens to make some mistakes as we’re humans 😊 And you’re right when you say that there were 2 versions of Winx In Concert. I only wanted to correct that little mistake but in your video you were pretty accurate in every single topic, so much to seem an Italian fan 😁
im an american winx fan and i was pretty young when i was introduced to winx and im still a huge fan im 17 and ive heard and read everything winx and never heard stand up until i was at physical therapy warming up and never see anything about it im so glad you brought this up
I love the topics you disscused and I didn't know about Straffi's accusations against Mattel so that was interesting to watch :D As an OG fan I noticed most of these and I got to say I always loved the non show outfits because they were detailed and had different colour schemes for each girl! You need to do more of this :)
I live in the US and I don't remember the dolls being marketed. I recently bought myself a Magic Winx Bloom doll that came from the Netherlands (it was shipped there, not sure if she was manufactured there) and she looks amazing! She is sitting right next to my She-Ra doll.
I had some dolls from the in concert line. I loved the quality but their guitars were different from the ones in the picture. They were solid colours. Everything else was the same though, the boxes too so idk
I think the flutter magic Mattel flora doll has a variant of the polka dot outfit! albeit they cut the pants and made it a skirt!(which is still gorge btw) but it's always so neat to see the different ways designers translate doll outfits for the girls!
Watching Unicorn's Winx videos has lead me to watching more Winx related videos and man does it bring nostalgia. I remember immediately turning on the TV and watching a Winx episode after school without changing out of my uniform lol Unfortunately they weren't as popular here as they were in Europe so I missed these miscellaneous merch and tie ins
Something I never hear about is that, I think, when season 1 was first airing in the US, you could neet Bloom, Stella, and Flora in NYC. I had a friend at the time who had family there and got to see them perform a show(?) live. I think she said it was at Toys R Us. I'm sure but they gave out little posters of Bloom, Stella, and Flora and the performers autographed them as the characters. I'm super bummed I lost it and don't have it anymore. I also rarely ever hear people talk about the trading card game too. Lol
I also remember the fruit outfits from home appliances series made by Vitek. I had (and still have) the boombox from this line and it was fun to look at the ads with other winx appliances wondering how the ice cream machine works or what parent on earth would buy a Flora kettle to put it in their kitchen xD
I already know about the winx in concerto album because I decided to collect all winx club Italian songs lol. Also people who say early winx didn't have good music are cringe and unbased, the season 1 and 2 album, Magiche Canzoni is great and the enchantix theme from season 3 is amazing. Season 4 onward music is a downgrade but still good. My girl Lucia Miccinilli didn't sing her heart out in Magiche Canzoni to get disrespect like this 😤
Music from s1-s3 is pure awesomeness, also from the first movie and winx in concert, s4 and magical adventure is OK and s5 is the last season with any good peaces of music, then everything else is bland in my opinion.
OMG I HAD THE PIXE COMICS- At least some of them - I completely forgot about that, thank you for reminding me - this video is great in general. Man I wish I hadn't lost them.
you and me both 🥹 I gave away all my old Winx stuff as a teenager, because I thought I was too 'grown up' for it😭😭😭 look at me now... I'm really glad you enjoyed x
I remember seeing the non-show outfits in Google results years ago, and the "Stand Up" song is in my music library. (I love the Italian language a lot.) I also remember when Season 4 was new, but never collected any merchandise because I was above the socially accepted age range when Winx Club came out initially on TV.
I never experienced the pixie magazines, I never really had any pixie merchandise, I had more winx merchandise. But I do think the pixies are cute. The Magic Holidays book I think is really good and here in Serbia winx books were quite popular in 2011-2013. I do own a lot of them. I do see a lot of similarities to winx in the Magic of the rainbow Barbie line. The movie is also quite similar to winx, but i think the Barbie Fairytopia franchise is I think targeted to a more younger demographic because it isn’t as dark as Winx Club. But they are quite similar. I love the outfits that aren’t on the show, I think they’re really nicely designed. I do own a ton of merch with that artwork, I do have a pencil case, a small bag, and a backpack with denim artwork, and I think they’re really cool. Stand up is actually one of my most favorite winx songs ever. It’s really catchy. And I love it. I love the winx concert brand, I think the outfits are really cool, and the songs are absolute bangers. My top3 are: 1. Mambochiwambo, 2. Live my Life, 3. Flora’s song to Helia. I think that’s a really inventive brand with awesome music. I own Stella and Layla from the simba concert dolls. And I think that the simba dolls in my opinion are better than the Jakks dolls. Because, Simba has softer hair, much more detailed outfits, and better face molds, in my opinion. The negatives are that some of them use the same shoe molds like for example, Bloom, Tecna, Musa and Layla have the same shoe mold. While flora and Stella have the same boots. Which is a shame. The jakks dolls are also quite cool, they have so much more articulation than the witty dolls which is good. But I do prefer witty.
Loved this video and the memories that came flooding back with it! ^^ Really well done overall! Also, as a Dutchie who knows the entire On Tour Soundtrack by heart- I really had to do a double take when you pronounced the song (no offense, I commend you for the attempt, Dutch isn't easy!), so for anyone who might not speak Dutch and isn't able to decipher it, it's "Geef Me Vleugels"❤
its the first time i hear of some of this things, as a latino fan, for me to get a g1 doll back in the day was a struck of luck, its was so niche i had only one friend that watched the series with me. Now as an adult rewatching the series i get to know so may things i wouldve loved.
Just discovered your channel (love your name btw 🦊) and this is the Winx content that i had been asking for. Please keep up the good work, I hope this channel will become more and more popular in the future
OMG YESSS, justice for the Dutch musical, it is so chaotic and doesn't make any sense and they made every specialst so duchy for no reason (except for Riven for god knows shy). It is such a dumpsterfire and I love it. It isn't clear when it is supposed to be in the timeline and There is this weird thing they did with Helia and Layla and it is such trash, but in the best way. Also a big shout out to the Italian Winx club musical, and even though I do not understand Italian at all, it was even worse and the costuming is soooo.... a choice, but I love how you brought up the musicals!!! They are so fun to watch with friends to give out some commentary!
Wait, the song Tecnomagic emotions is from album Winx in concert!? I always knew it from RUclips on their official channel. So I thought it was a song from 2015.
Stand Up is such a banger song. They did put the English version of it in Dance Dance Revolution Winx Club. Not sure about the original version. Maybe if one would set the game to Italian? Can't remember.
My sister was a big fan of Winx when we were younger. Obviously, I couldn't let myself get into the series because I was a boy, but I did really like the action in the show. I remember my parents got her a subscription of the Winx comics for a while and I tried to read them for her. I wish we would've kept them, just to see if any artists were credited. It's been 15 years so I can't remember the content of any of them, sadly.
Bosnian here. For the comic portion I'm pretty sure we also had some that were either unofficial (i.e illegal) or simply unavailable elsewhere. I distinctly remember seeing one with Sophix on the cover, a form that to my knowledge was never present in any of the comics. There was also a sticker album we could fill and then send to whoever distributed it as a chance to win a prize, otherwise it'd be returned to us. I never received a prize nor the album back and I'm still salty about it. That aside you should really do a deeper dive into the comics themselves. They're filled with lots of lore about not only characters but also the magical universe that we've never seen before. Sadly most are just translations, with a good chunk still remaining untranslated.
I love Pop Pixie and think it is a good spin off when it comes to spin offs. I love Amore's love interest (Ranger Dude) and the elves. I wish we got them in the later seasons (as Pop Pixie came out two years before Season 6 - when the pixies came back - released)
This is a fantastic video! Flex your Winx knowledge all the way. I love obscure Winx facts. I have a lot of Winx magazines in various languages, so I should check out how they credit artists and how. I definitely agree with you about Winx in Concert. Great music. I watched / listened the hell out of it as a kid and still slasp. On that note gave, it gave us the only CGI Valtor ever. And I agree about the dolls are great too even if I never got to own them, but I wanted one so bad. Also the Eurovision fact is AMAZING. To be fair there are so many cool obscure Winx things out there. My favourites might be the Siemens Winx mobile phones (I wanted one so bad) and the unaired Winx pilot or however you want to call it. Even if that gets some discussion.
Very interesting video! As a French, the concert line was eeeeverryyyyywheeeeere and to French people it’s not overlooked, everybody had at least one 😂 Also, there are differences in face screenings!! It’s because of the distributors / constructors… I don’t remember the names but I know the Portuguese dolls had a more stern face screening and more pronounced makeup than some others. You guys had Simba, we had Smoby! I don’t know enough about this subject but you’re not insane, the multiple face screenings is a real thing! About giochi preziosi, I’m working on it right now and I will release it very soon on my channel 😉 I didn’t know the winx on tour was Dutch! And I didn’t know about the last section of the video. Loved seeing miss Katie McGrath as Morgana for a second 👀 I totally agree for the comics, I’ll have to check my French comics and let you know! Maybe I understood the video incorrectly but you seem to say that the bibliothèque rose books were unique to France as in new stories. They’re not new stories, just retelling of the episodes in bloom’s point of view. Maybe that’s what you meant anyway 😅
I'm glad you enjoyed! And I'll be looking forward to the video!!! What I meant for the BR books is that they are 'original' Winx content that does not originate from Italy (as in they're not direct translations of something; they were produced exclusively for Francophone regions). Of course, they were retellings, but these books never existed in the original Italian, so they're kind of unique for that! (There were also little differences to the stories too though where Marvaud took some little liberties...)
Although as an adult I can appreciate the hardwork and talent behind it, I hated the live version as a kid, and I would still prefer my favorite cartoon characters to remain as artwork. Something about the Winx artstyle feels like home to me. Nope, I don't want to see it live and human.
Sorry I am commenting a lot, but there's another thing: I noticed how for the Cinelume dub, they kept Elisa Rosselli (is it her?) singing the opening, transformation, and closing songs, which I like as it retains some of the Italian culture I feel. But in season 2, they replaced her with an American singer (not sure her name). Was there ever an explanation why?
Hi, I hope this comment help. Firstly, here's a little clarification (Fun fact) from season 1 to 3 most of the songs (if not all) are sunged by Lucia Micinilli and the songs for the first three seasons were made by the company "Cartoon Family" (a company that specialized in making songs for animated shows) but since season 3 onwards the company has untied themselves from Rainbow hence why Lucia Micinilli's voice and the songs from s1 to s3 did not make any return to the show at all. Lucia Micinilli sunged most of the Winx Club songs in Italian and for the english version of season 1 by Cinelume but since there are complaints from audiences that her english pronounciation is not really good so they replaced her with Yasemin Sannino (a Turkish singer who also sang the Winx Club songs for the Turkish dub, if i remember correctly) and then when season 4 arrived and the contract between Rainbow and Cartoon Family ended they decided to replace their singer with Elisa Rosselli who sang both the soundtracks for the Italian and English dub. Hope this is clear enough, i found out about this from a fan forum
I remember me and my winx bestie (both from Germany) used to role play in her back yard as flora and that one,, fox? From the comics Fun fact, because we couldn't agree about the power levels we just decided they'd hold hands and run around fighting things together That was such a long time ago,, ANYWAY, who wants to role play winx in their back yard with me?
I LOVE Winx in Concert! Unica (IT), Heart of Stone (Musa's song in English), and the whole Secret of the Lost Kingdom soundtrack like Fly and All the Magic (can you imagine that THE Natalia Imbruglia sang for Winx???) In Russian Winx Art fandom, btw, all those cloths collections were HUGE! I believe they were in most of art communities. Back in my childhood Winx Dolls were really hard to find, I wish I could have original Winx Base Transformation dolls and those Concerto dolls. Unfortunately. they were never sold in my country. But I still managed to get myself a doll when I was 15, I guess. It's Bloom from the Love and Pets collection.
@@SailorCoockie in that part of Russia where I used to live, they were impossible to find until early 2010s, and there never were Base Transformation dolls, only some candid collections, love and pets (which I own), and some related to the 2nd movie. Idk about Moscow or St.Petersburg.

Link here if you're lazy: ruclips.net/video/Hio4tffwq2o/видео.html
Also let me know if it does exist in other languages because that would be amazing
@@phoekneex3214 That's an opening theme unique to your country :D And I agree that it's incredible
All other dubs used the translated Italian opening except for a 4kids one
Although there are fan covers of the German theme! I know of English and Russian ones
Do you have any socials where we can chat about favorite obscure magical girl topics, so that I don't have to spam the comment section of your videos ? xD
hey! i've been meaning to set up an insta for the channel! I'll get on that this weekend, and let you know!
(and no,😅 i literally have no other socials, i live under a glittery pink rock)
looking forward to chatting x
As a American Winx fan, when i was old enough to get on my family’s computer back in the 2000’s I would look up anything winx, which is how I found the Rai English version of the show and even the live shows. I was so in awe of it, even if I didn’t understand the language. I was just so happy to see more content of my favorite show.
Same!!
Winx club is my favourite show my favourite season is season 2 and 3 I just wish I could see a show Called Magic Bloom 😢
They also included magical zodiac explanations in charmix guide-book : ) World-building is pretty rich : )
@@teodorasparkle9838 I thought that Discordia was Cloud Tower's pixie and not Griffin's.
There were a lot of infos in this video that I previously didn't know about, thank you for making this!
winx in concert ganggg!!!
I'm really glad you enjoyed hehe😊😊😊
Winx in concert is a hidden gem. I listened to it for the first time in summer of 2012. and I stil love to get back to those songs now and then. Flora's is my apsolute favorite as well as "fly". : D It's a shame that we haven't got serbian dub of these amazing songs, italian and english are awesome as well !
@@teodorasparkle9838 yes
i think the pixie brand was an interesting experement rainbow tried to do when trying to make a new "girls" franchise as winx club was gonna end at the time and how rainbow jsust erased the brand after 2012 when they relised "we are safe now under viacom winx club is still around we dont need this"
Me too, i didn't know Winx was this vast.
Kinder eggs were amazing too, but I've never had luck with them, I always got trashy products instead of main cartoon of the collection stuff xD
Aniway, good luck with your winx-egg hunt ! : D
Waaaiiiiiiiiit are you talking about the Encyclomagia books???? 😭😭
Thirza is what I always imagined a adult Bloom would look like
I'm European so Winx played a huge role in my upbringing and I'm going to be honest, although the Barbie dolls are quite big, at least where I grew up in Italy, the Barbie movie franchise isn't, and it's quite hard to find them, Winx however is always playing somewhere, and the dolls are everywhere ❤
Lucky ❤
The fairytopia thing would actually kinda make sense. Maybe I’m just biased because I love fairytopia and mermaidia, but really don’t like the magic of the rainbow. The dolls look so different from the previous two movies, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they were trying to differentiate them from previous barbie looks.
i love this commment so much, I used to love Fairytopia and Mermadia too and i feel the same about magic of the rainbow but i still have the DVDs...it's just to find them...
awwww your video made me remember how fun it was to be a winx fan back in 2009!!

So it feels like I have to artificially drum up interest for them first 😅
I think the next vid might be about the comics 👀👀👀
(but I keep saying that and it's not been true yet...🙈)
8:46 THAT"S IT!!!!!! That's the pink argyle sweater that Bloom wore! I KNEW I wasn't just dreaming that up when I cosplayed her in it!!!!!!!!
The songs of Winx in Italian are awesome,i'm italian and i'm soooo proud of the soundtracks🥺✨️
I still listen to the Winx in Concert album a lot. So much so that I still own the original cd from back then.
european winx fandom just hits different i swear-
I knew about the stand up song because I have the full Italian album, but for why it wasn't used, I have no idea. It'd fit a dancing party scene imo. My guess is they made the song and thought it sounded good but couldn't find a scene that fits it so they just added it on the album so it doesn't go to waste.
I just found out from an Elisa interview that that is exactly what happened 😅 (another comment linked it)
I actually watched secret of the lost kingdom in cinema on my 7th birthday (I’m from Germany) and it’s one of my fondest memories.
What about her being childhood friends with a emo boy
Loved this video. As an og Winx fan there’s actually so much I don’t know about the franchise and fandom still and you highlighted some stuff I was oblivious to here. I went to 2 winx shows, one of them was on ice. I don’t remember much but I do recall the long lines at the end to take pictures with with characters. I will always cherish those photos. I find it so funny and awesome how some dubs have actual celebrities of their own country attached to the brand, in Portugal a very popular girlband at the time gave voice to 4 winx and did the soundtrack of the 1st movie too.
Oooh that actually sounds really cool! I tried to look up the girl band, but I couldn't find them? Can you let me know who was the group?
@@talkytilki official Russian dub for the first movie was also done by a popular band (Ranetki or Ранетки in Russian)

Fun thing about Stand Up is that it was featured in the movie dvd... in the scenes menu
2:18 I never understood why they made that Musa Belivix doll BLUE? I meen it dosen't look bad, it's actualy preatty good but WHY?
the entire line that musa is from had the outfit be just one color, sometimes a vastly different one from the primary color on the og outfit
Aisha actually looks the most similar, but the green-ish and pink-ish accents are swapped to be teal also
Bloom has a fully red outfit which wasn't anywhere in the og colors
Flora's is fully pink, no green or yellow accents anywhere
Musa's is blue like you said
Stella's is fully yellow, no orange or purple or pink
Tecna's is fully purple, no green accents anywhere
I think they just wanted to have a more gimmicky line, tho i don't know why
This aired on pop girl in the UK and citv if I remember. Yes, we also got the 4 kids' dubbed version, but I do recall seeing a winx club magazine in Italy

I love that song!
It was translated to my language and i loved it when I was little
All of the songs were amazing
Magical adventure was the first movie i ever went to watch at the cinema. But sadly it was never released in dvd in Greece so the greek dub is completely lost:((
I’m an American fan, and I was into it around like 2014 and after, so a lot of this is would have escaped me anyway, but for the most part I was completely unaware of everything you brought up in this video.
You should do a video about the winx comics. There were some really good side stories by go more deeper into the characters, especially the trix
hey! next vid is definitely going to be on the comics! another list type video to begin with (just because it is a very busy time within the academic year, so I don't currently have time to do more essay type vids) about the alternative canon of the Winx comics (major ways it diverges from the show, differences in characterisation etc.). But I also have videos scripted going in to detail about the comics' storytelling choices and treatment of different issues like environmentalism, internet safety, don't-do-magic-sweets-kids... I am really excited to talk about the comics more (since I read them more than I watched the show), but because they are less known in the fandom, it feels like I have to drum up interest for them first. x
this might be one of my favorite videos i have ever seen like this really just reinvigorated so much love & passion i have for winx
I had (and still have) the winx books! I had no idea they were not a worldwide publication
Absolutely losing it at Icy figure skating with Valtor XD
Right?! I literally never noticed that until I was editing this video, and so I had to cut the clip to make sure that their names would be in there 🤣
As a young kid in Sweden I remember a comic/book where Tecna pretended to be a robot or something like that. I can’t really remember anything else sadly
I also remember that some Winx books I found weren’t translated to Swedish and were in English or Italian.
I think you may be talking about Comic #30 Love for Layla, where Tecna hides inside an advisor-robot in order to talk to her father...(😂😂😂I promise it makes sense in context.)
I'm crying, an undeservedly frozen W.I.T.C.H is mentioned here!😭😭
I don't know how obscure it is bc i stumbled over this video by accident. But I remember loving the winx soundtrack from the early seasons, but as far as I know - at least the German intro song was different. A whole unique song that is just such a banger.
fun winx fact i live in italy and here you can still buy some snacks with pictures of the winx from season 8 on them
1:33 OMG MY ICEBERG😍😍😍 I will be sure to add this on the iceberg
I only wanted to correct that little mistake but in your video you were pretty accurate in every single topic, so much to seem an Italian fan 😁
im an american winx fan and i was pretty young when i was introduced to winx and im still a huge fan im 17 and ive heard and read everything winx and never heard stand up until i was at physical therapy warming up and never see anything about it im so glad you brought this up
I love the topics you disscused and I didn't know about Straffi's accusations against Mattel so that was interesting to watch :D
As an OG fan I noticed most of these and I got to say I always loved the non show outfits because they were detailed and had different colour schemes for each girl!
It’s a shame that in my country, we only got the show, not even the dolls as far as I remember
Watching Unicorn's Winx videos has lead me to watching more Winx related videos and man does it bring nostalgia. I remember immediately turning on the TV and watching a Winx episode after school without changing out of my uniform lol
Unfortunately they weren't as popular here as they were in Europe so I missed these miscellaneous merch and tie ins
Oh I have the in concert dolls! Didn‘t even kniw they were rare! That‘s cool! Picked em up at a flea market!
11:31 Mine too! Just an amazing song 😭😭 I love both the Italian and German Version (I'm German)
12:36 I'VE HEARD THAT SONG. It wasn't in turkish but it was definitelly that song melody!
Lol
I wish the dolls weren't so rare and people wouldnt charge horribly high prices for them
I also remember the fruit outfits from home appliances series made by Vitek. I had (and still have) the boombox from this line and it was fun to look at the ads with other winx appliances wondering how the ice cream machine works or what parent on earth would buy a Flora kettle to put it in their kitchen xD
I just looked these up, and they look so cute??? I certainly would buy a Flora kettle to put in my kitchen 😌
OMG I HAD THE PIXE COMICS-
At least some of them -
I completely forgot about that, thank you for reminding me - this video is great in general.

I also remember when Season 4 was new, but never collected any merchandise because I was above the socially accepted age range when Winx Club came out initially on TV.
Aahhh man the piXie magazine!
I remember loving the pixie keychains they had as a small gift and bought multiple copies just to have the keychains 😂😂😂
The pixie magazine section unlocked a core memory of mine. Holy shit, I think I've had one of those pixie magazines.
Also, as a Dutchie who knows the entire On Tour Soundtrack by heart- I really had to do a double take when you pronounced the song (no offense, I commend you for the attempt, Dutch isn't easy!), so for anyone who might not speak Dutch and isn't able to decipher it, it's "Geef Me Vleugels"❤
oh no did i do such a bad job 🙈🙈🙈 i'm really sorryyyyy🥹
@@talkytilki Don't take it too hard on yourself, it's actually a very good job considering you don't speak Dutch ^^ ❤
Awesome vid! I think that Winx comics in general are underrated :C.
its the first time i hear of some of this things, as a latino fan, for me to get a g1 doll back in the day was a struck of luck, its was so niche i had only one friend that watched the series with me. Now as an adult rewatching the series i get to know so may things i wouldve loved.
I love Fairy Topia, but I know nothing about the dolls, so this is just cool trivia to me :D
Just discovered your channel (love your name btw 🦊) and this is the Winx content that i had been asking for. Please keep up the good work, I hope this channel will become more and more popular in the future
hello from one Tilki to another 🧡🦊🧡
and tysm 🥰
A full video about that russian interview would be very interesting. I'm curoius to know what he said about fairytopia and also witch
Thank you for sharing all this stuff I didnt know!!
I just think it’s funny that the first recommended video while watching this one is Barbie Fairytopia
Sadly most are just translations, with a good chunk still remaining untranslated.
omg I can't believe you were robbed like this...
And thank you, I definitely have vids planned on the comics x
I love Pop Pixie and think it is a good spin off when it comes to spin offs. I love Amore's love interest (Ranger Dude) and the elves. I wish we got them in the later seasons (as Pop Pixie came out two years before Season 6 - when the pixies came back - released)
omg i have a game called winx rockstars and its got all the winx in concert songs! (i don't know how wide the release for this was)
This is a fantastic video!
My favourites might be the Siemens Winx mobile phones (I wanted one so bad)
and the unaired Winx pilot or however you want to call it. Even if that gets some discussion.
I always watch Winx club songs like you’re a star and dreaming in my way
I always thought it’s funny that the english song is called „stand up“ while in german it‘s the opposite and says „let you fall“
Very interesting video!
As a French, the concert line was eeeeverryyyyywheeeeere and to French people it’s not overlooked, everybody had at least one 😂
Also, there are differences in face screenings!!
About giochi preziosi, I’m working on it right now and I will release it very soon on my channel 😉
I didn’t know the winx on tour was Dutch! And I didn’t know about the last section of the video. Loved seeing miss Katie McGrath as Morgana for a second 👀
I totally agree for the comics, I’ll have to check my French comics and let you know!
Aww i remember winx on tour coming to my country but i couldnt attend it because all seats were taken :(
I think stand up was an early opening show for the movie but I don’t know because i only watched the Nickelodeon dub
I remember me and my winx bestie (both from Germany) used to role play in her back yard as flora and that one,, fox? From the comics
Fun fact, because we couldn't agree about the power levels we just decided they'd hold hands and run around fighting things together
That was such a long time ago,,
ANYWAY, who wants to role play winx in their back yard with me?
im dutch and i watched winx on tour so much
I had a winx in concert DVD in polish but I remember my mom made me skip most songs because she said they sounded too sad
Oh, I've read the pixie mag translated to Russian! I can tell where you can find almost all of the issues if you don't mind translating them back xD
go on 👀👀👀 don't be shy...
@@talkytilki Both of my replies got filtered xD
If they're lost forever pls let me know
ah yeah, they're lost 🙈🙈🙈
maybe if you just put a lot of space in the link? (I'm guessing that's why it's getting filtered?)
@@talkytilki just described it and it still got deleted so I'll try to be as brief as possible
You need t w i r p x the title is малышки пикси
Hope you can figure it out, the domain is the common commercial one
I LOVE Winx in Concert!
Unica (IT), Heart of Stone (Musa's song in English), and the whole Secret of the Lost Kingdom soundtrack like Fly and All the Magic (can you imagine that THE Natalia Imbruglia sang for Winx???)
In Russian Winx Art fandom, btw, all those cloths collections were HUGE!
If you know about Russian fandom, i can assume that you are from Russia. There were a lot of dolls when the show aired from 2008 to 2014 i think
@@SailorCoockie in that part of Russia where I used to live, they were impossible to find until early 2010s, and there never were Base Transformation dolls, only some candid collections, love and pets (which I own), and some related to the 2nd movie. Idk about Moscow or St.Petersburg.
I remember watching a music video of all of them on an island And wasn't there but roxy wasn't in the music video at all
