Honestly in the right settings and style like this, banjos makes an incredible stand-alone instrument.

I’ve seen several covers of this song, but honestly they weren’t great and didn’t really compare to it being preformed by Amigo, and especially this recording
Totally agree except one thing. The Grotto sessions of this song, is about 100 times more powerful. its fucking haunting to be honest. and purley because they recorded his voice better its much richer tones that capture the rasp and bass of his voice better. and the acoustics are fucking incredible.
