I recently went to see Hatebreed, Clutch and Dropkick Murphy's in Erie PA. The opening act was this guy. Being the meathead that I am I was like "OK, some dude with a banjo is going to open? This guy is gonna get killed!" Then he just proceeded to floor everyone in the room. He was amazing. I bought both of his CD's at the merch table and listened to them on the way home. This song came on and I damn near had to pull off the road. As soon as I got home I looked up his tour dates and bought tickets to see him in Cleveland in November. If Amigo the Devil comes to a town near you, buy the damn tickets! His music is fantastic, but to see him perform live is truly something to behold.
Hey William. Hes coming back to the grog shop in july I'll see you there! Nevermind. It's postponed and sold out. Pittsburgh or Detroit.....let's carpool
I was in a massive depression, didn't sleep etc. i was dreaming and this song was playing on my random and i woke up in tears. This song was playing and i never looked back. 😢
The way "I've always been scared of loving someone just a little bit more than I'm loved" always rips my heart out. I saw him live in Pitt last month and he was absolutely incredible, especially when he played this one. You can tell he put his entire soul into this song.
I've seen many clips of this song...I thought the Cavern clip was heart-wrenching. Now I've seen this clip, and it's even more powerful. This man is amazing. Thanks, Danny, for being who you are.
I cry every time I sing it with him feels like he's made some of the same mistakes and we've shared a life. He just had the words to make it a song out a shit sandwich of my past. I can see why it took a lot of adjustment to be able to sing such a personally emotional song in front of a audience.
That breath at 4:24 he took sent me to a new realm of empathy. You can feel this man’s pain in that instance. Holy shit can music move you. Thank you for sharing your gift with us- it is an amazing thing to witness.
3:20 as well. Damn it, this song kills me every time. But hearing that true emotion in a live setting makes it feel even more real. You can tell that this song truly does mean that much to him.
This song, specifically this live performance of this song, makes me cry every time. It’s so raw, visceral, emotional, and poetic. It touches me in my heart and punches me in the gut at the same time. As a person in longtime recovery/sobriety and a survivor of sexual trauma and institutional child abuse, I relate to every lyric. I’ve seen Amigo The Devil live three times and cried at every live show multiple times. What an amazing human.
THANK FUCK comments are still enabled on live performances. I love seeing other people’s perspectives, and personal experiences when it comes to songs like this. It’s nice to relate.
He does that because he doesn't consider it a solo project. The "us" and "we" refers to his partner/girlfriend/manager? as well as everyone who collaborates on the recorded material.
wtf. It's not part of the lyrics, it's literally part of the interview. They mention that his hometown is Austin and he rolls with it, but he's always mentioned that he's born and raised in Florida.
3/19 is my birthday. 3/19/19 I got out of jail for beating the sh.t out of my brother. It started as self defense and I just kind of lost it... my daughter was born at home 2 AM the next morning.

I heard of him in a random spotify lineup while driving and had to pull over.

Whoever broke this man’s heart needs to answer to me.
~ 🎵 ♥️ 🎶 ~
When he says "thanks for having us" he means himself and the songs that rip your soul apart.
The way "I've always been scared of loving someone just a little bit more than I'm loved" always rips my heart out. I saw him live in Pitt last month and he was absolutely incredible, especially when he played this one. You can tell he put his entire soul into this song.
This was the first song that ever brought me to tears because it is me and I am it
This is a song that makes men cry. What a great artist. The best
The way his eyes express emotion and pain really makes it hard to watch while he performs. I'm in tears every time I watch this
I've seen many clips of this song...I thought the Cavern clip was heart-wrenching. Now I've seen this clip, and it's even more powerful. This man is amazing. Thanks, Danny, for being who you are.

I love this song. Gets me emotional no matter how many times I listen, especially if I’m watching him play.

He left it all on the floor when he played this! No one can ask more of a musician than that.
This song means so much to me, amigo is a true artist.
Dammit this song is an Hymn!!! Love it
Amigo The Devil - I'm in love with how you process what most of us can't find words for into music. It is such a gift for us all. Thank you.

He did cover that song, so it might be
...............just.......wow...........
I got some irreparable issues w my brother. The line about blood in the water makes me smile...
I hope wherever he’s at, he’s doing okay right now.
Change is all right
I love you Danny
I love you Ruby
Nice Heavy Metal Shop sticker. SLC misses you. Come back.
Sounds similar to Johnny Cash Hurt
Yeah, and like Johnny, you can feel Danny's pain when he sings. You know it's genuine.
Wait... does he refer to himself as “us” “we” or...
👻👻👻
He does that because he doesn't consider it a solo project. The "us" and "we" refers to his partner/girlfriend/manager? as well as everyone who collaborates on the recorded material.
Its music, nerd. Pull that grammar shit somewhere else.
Something about him just makes me wanna braid his hair and let him cry on my lap..
That dude sings and he isnt even in that room he goes to a diff place
Hometown? Isn't he born & raised in Miami?
Is this where we pretend all song lyrics are literal?
wtf. It's not part of the lyrics, it's literally part of the interview. They mention that his hometown is Austin and he rolls with it, but he's always mentioned that he's born and raised in Florida.
@@mattbustos522 you're right. i see what you meant now.
He's cain......
