"LEADING PRAYERS through CHOOSING them FOR a FLOCK & CELEBRATING the MOOD of them REMEMBERED by showing HOW pronunciation OF Their LAST WORD is SPOKEN is: "BRAIN - WASHING."
The Last Words drummer Johnny Gunn used to work in the Fans In Control Punk shop in Charing Cross Road until he was fired by the owner John Freid for nicking money out of the till. I never actually spoke to him and I didn't particularly want to, but he carried himself with the kind of cool nonchalance as though he saw himself as a kind of cross between James Dean and Johnny Rotten. I thuink he considered himself a future star a wanna be spokesman for a generation etc etc but in reality he was just another stupid talentless punk half wit to slump on the pile. The real star of the show in those days was a strange girl called Spike she used to design T shirts which were sold in there and stormed out after a row with Freid over money he wouldn't pay her or something. London seemed so atmospheric and vibrant back then.
"The summer of 1978" is somewhat ambiguous. Was the clip made in the summer of 1978-79 or the summer of 1977-78? Or did they make it in the northern hemisphere?
Best punk song to come out of Oz! Still got the 45 in my punk collection here in the UK! Great song!
one of my top 10 punk singles. still play it today when i DJ
Killer track, far too underrated. Wild that they had money for a professional video, too.
It's not that professional, just them miming to the song. It is a great tune though. 😎
@@alexaiken3779 Great tune for sure, but an edited multi film camera setup in a studio couldn't have been cheap in the late 70's!
Excellent tune!
Dude I see you just absolutely everywhere! Cheers from the U.S.!

You're like on so many other punk vids for comments.
We all listened to this in Sydney in the early eighties and we all loved it-easily as good as anything the Saints did or Radio Birdman.....
