I just picked up five Red bar and a trio of Lyretails last week and they adjusted well. Thanks for the tips and care involved.

Absolutely love my dispar anthias! Originally bought a trio; one passed away but I still have two. These guys are awesome and add so much color. They love to get comfortable under and in-between rocks. Especially at night. Love to see it!

I love my lyretail lady 😊 I only have one and have only kept a single one at a time in my 75. She’s very content and I’ve though she stays relatively small, she provides a lot of the movement in the display along with her tank mates 😊 she loves frozen fish eggs

Hey Brock, I got a zebra eel 15”, and a marine beta 4”. I have had them since Sunday. They have not eaten yet, but have taken interest in krill. Any tips to get them to eat? Thanks

Brock your the man. Could you do a video on bimaculatus anthias? Or maybe tell your stat sheet for them?

What is the bigger looking reddish one, thats not as bright? I am wondering because there was a hug sale on male red lyretail anthia for 20 bucks regular 50 and I missed the last one by seconds and was so mad but the more I look at this I am thinking he isnt as pretty as the brighter ones which must be the female but I always heard males were brighter I had the bright orange blue eyed before and was very pretty and never missed a pellet but then I had one not as bright but blue eyed and orange and was very very picky! I didint realize that about them when i bought the second one so now I know to buy in person and make sure they are eatting! is there one in particular of these two that eat better? Cant remember names of what I bought! Also what is the one with pink in it? Gorgeous!

Lyretails have the much more red coloration you’re seeing in the video!

So because they’re so active they require food more often which makes a lot sense. I was wondering if the golden head goby might be the same since he sifts sand all day and is constantly moving?
How does frequent feedings impact water parameters? Do you have to do more more water changes?

What would you say is the best thing to try feeding to get a new male lyretail anthias eating?! Getting neevous only been a couple days but i really dont wanna lose him be hard to replace and its the prettiest fish in my tank its the fiji version of lyretail theyre like neon purple and pink anyways ive tried feeding tdo pellets mysis krill and cyclops and hes jus nibbled here n there idk hopin its jus bc hes mew amd eventually hell start eating like crazy bc i know they have fast metabolisms and need alot of food and i really dont wanna lose this guy jve fallin in love woth the fish and its my fav already even tho ive only had it a couple days lol thanks for any help u can provide!!

What you’re feeding is great. A couple things to try is feeding at different times during the day. Also try turning off all current when feeding. Last resort would be to try live foods. That can be hard to find unless a local LFS has some. PODs are a popular brand.

@@BrockLeonard thanks a ton for ur quick informative helpful response!! Ok ill keep that in mind and try it if i sont fet em eating in the next day or two im prolly gonna go buy a few more diff foods jus to try it out but ive been feeding jus randomly throughout the day 3x a day trying to keep them my tangs and wrasse happy and healthy but i guess if i habe to last resort ill order some more pods to put in the tank im hopin theyll get more comfortable over the next couple days and start rating better the females are feeding almost jus fine but the male is being stubborn doesnt wanna eat maybe bc hes a more mature fish might take him a lil while to get comfortable enough to start feeding its only been a couple days jus worried bc every talks about how much they need to be fed amd their fast metabolism that im sure means they can starve to death much faster than most other fish idk well see i guess but thanks for the tips ill give that a try ive jus been pitting the food in to my main wavemaker and letting it blow it all over the tank like i always do so everyone gets fed plus hes hoding behind the rocks most of the time that im feeding so need slmething to blow the food back there but ill try turning the pumps off and jus dropping food over the tocks to try n get it tk fall behind there where he can get it worse casr scenario itll get blown out later for the other fish to eat it

I'd recommend a larger tank for anthias.
