I have a 55 gallon tank with a green bubble tip neon anemone and I’m asking what spectrum should I have for it? I have 2 AI primes which my setting are now, purples at 75, blues at 105, green at 10, red 0, and white at 20. Is that ok for my settings? They start at 1pm and turn off at 9pm.
The most frustrating thing for me is when they move to a spot where you cant find them. There's no light, You cant feed them. Should I let him come out on it's own? or should I help him, just a little?
How should I located my anemone if I have corals in all my rock? You said they move around, so even if I put it in a spot were there's no corals around, the anemone eventual would move, right? I really want to add one of this but I am a little bit afraid its starts to move all around and hurt my corals.
Davinci Reef It’s not that they will move, it’s that there is always a chance. Normally when placed in a spot they can stretch out, they’ll stay there the whole time. It’s just random for when they begin to get in the mood to move.
Hello! Just got a green bta. I have Galaxyhydro LED 55x3w Dimmable 165w Full Spectrum LED. Model HYA05-LENS-55*3W-B Just want to know what you think I should have my lights set to!
mine climbed between two live rocks... foot on the bottom of the upper rock tentacles on the top of the bottom rock... looks like a sleeve.... I shined a flashlight on him for a minute and he promptly responded... as he started to expand I notice what looked like a brownish clear substance.... hope hes pooping and not dying... just got him today
Just got our first anemone today, he’s mainly been wandering towards the back of the tank but he’s been nowhere near our corals yet Edit: I say first but we already have a rock flower anemone that’s just sat on the rock closest to the pump and never moved closer to the pump

Decided to give a bubble tip another shot. Ive had my tank a few years since my last attempt which failed. Yesterday i got a very nice bubble tip from my local store, and acclimated him over a couple of hours. My coral thrive, my parameters and lighting is great. I put him in on a rock that looked similar to that he was on at the store. Overnight while i slept, he crawled down to the subtrate, and basically died. He seems inside out and like hes already starting to decay. How did it go so south within a couple of hours when every other thing in the reef is thriving? It was seriously only a few hours
Can I feed my corals too much? I use Oyster feast twice a week, I use Photo feast twice a week and I use Reef Roids twice a week. I basically put in one product daily alternating between the three. I turn off my protein skimmer for about an hour while feeding. I don't have too much algae growth. I'm doing weekly 20% water changes with Coral Pro salt, in an 180 gallon reef with a 20 gallon sump.
M Dub You can never feed corals too much. The main concern is water quality when feeding. They’ll keep eating, but if the tank was to get worse, they would not enjoy it. But with your weekly water changes, everything should be great!
Idk, i always feed my giant paly grandis since it has such a big mouth and i think i over fed it, it looses color and disintegrating slowly, I stopped feeding it and it healed.

Hi bro great info on the video. Just to confirm some things on their origins as they mainly come from Indo and Malaysia ( Sabah ) not Singapore. They will go thru transit via Singapore or purchased into Singapore from Malaysia. Singapore mainly reclaim their seas for additional land are not known as an exporter of corals.
Rule of thumb, if you can grow coral, you can host anemone. And its hard to say ya or no on light, because water current distortion will play a factor on that as well.
I just scored two three inch rainbows for 70 bucks! My hubby cleaned a guys carpet and he offered to trade part of payment! I was very scared because of the stinging and have a bunch of new corals! They seemed to find a spot right away and havnt moved much! I am glad they chose a low flow spot because they are staying pretty and bubby! Do You think it true if they are many generations of being aqua cultered that they loose their sting? It makes sense! I also wondered how big the rainbows get? I have seen them take over tanks so I dont want that especially because one is in a 36 and the other in a 201 Do they spilt and make babies or do I have to keep them together to spawn? Great video as always!
Oh my gosh that was a mega deal! Happy for you. I've taken care of the same ones for YEARS and they will still sting the fire out of my forearms. Depending on the anemone, some will get over a foot long, and others will get large but split often. They split every few months.
theseekerndestroyer Yeah that’s just the luck of the draw. They say the less current the better chance you have of them bulbing, but in my tank I have 4 right next to each other and 1 is elongated and the other 3 are bulb😂
From my experience the Anemones we keep in our tanks wont sting you if you gently touch them. However, when stressed they will sting you not only on the ends of the tips but also through the venom in there mucus. In rarer cases when its under "extreme" trauma even just slightly touching it can cause excruciating pain. I recommend wrinse and rub the effected area under vigorous tap water immediately. They will move around the aquarium until they find a comfortable position depending on two main factors i have seen, which is flow and the shape of the rock it is attatched too. My two cents worth, cool video man 😁

Joey K G Yes they tend to do that at times. Just give em time and he will eventually come around. Make sure there isn’t too much current hitting in that specific spot to make him want to move.
Im so glad you finally started doing corals and such, I was debating getting one of these guys but now I think I will. Thank you for always being such a reliable source of information you've saved my ass from regrettable impulse buys more times then I can count :)
Clorox Bleach I’ve had one get caught in the powerhead and it shredded it across my tank, that killed most of my fish but I was able to do a water change before it hurt the rest of them and my coral. If they begin to die of natural causes, you can easily take them out before they do any damage.
Not a coral. Cnidaria of the order Actinidaria. Predatory invertebrates more closely related to Jellyfish. Though some coralimorphs ie: mushroom corals are more closely related. A bit further down the road are zoas and palys and protopalys.
I grabbed a bubble tip the other day and it split into two the first day, kinda feel great for that 2 for 1 deal as they're doing well.

My two cents worth, cool video man 😁
i know im asking the wrong place but does someone know a method to get back into an instagram account?

Chad Bellbowa I’ll try to get a video of one!!
Have you ever heard of a Anemone going under a rock? Like he gets no light been 2 days now lol
He’s out & stuff my clown goes in it but it’s just under my rock & it’s just odd haha
My other Anemone is fine hasn’t moved once since been in the tank lol
Joey K G Yes they tend to do that at times. Just give em time and he will eventually come around. Make sure there isn’t too much current hitting in that specific spot to make him want to move.
Current USA orbit marine light?
RoadTripperBrooxy It’ll work😄
Thank you and great vid!

Jellyfish Narwhal That means so much!! Glad I could always help. And thank you for always watching the videos!
Ecotech radion xr15w g4 pro?
Potato N8 Those are great for these!
Will they nuke ur whole tank if it died?
Clorox Bleach I’ve had one get caught in the powerhead and it shredded it across my tank, that killed most of my fish but I was able to do a water change before it hurt the rest of them and my coral. If they begin to die of natural causes, you can easily take them out before they do any damage.
@@BrockLeonard ok, thanks for the input. Looks like I'm not getting it since I have expensive fishes n I think its not worth taking the risk
Not a coral. Cnidaria of the order Actinidaria. Predatory invertebrates more closely related to Jellyfish. Though some coralimorphs ie: mushroom corals are more closely related. A bit further down the road are zoas and palys and protopalys.
Great video!
I have the Steve’s led for the biocube 32
RoC Moist That can grow anemones just fine!
