I would love to see that of what you ordered and why would also like to see these chicks when they're about six months old would love to see how the coloring turned out
I'm so glad to see you have more chicks. I was wondering when we would see more chicken videos at your new location. They are so cute and I can't wait to see all the new varieties when they grow. Congratulations and good luck with the little ones.
video on why you picked would be lovely. my 6 new chicks are now 12 weeks old and I already want another batch of babies 😂 of course we are at the are you a hen or rooster stage, one rooster for sure as of now.
@@OakAbode when I got my sexed female chicks, a few had bands. It helped me know who was who. My friend raised a flock of her own and tried it out as they hatched based on egg color and it was super cool to see how they progressed!
I allowed my broody blue Australorp to hatch a clutch of eggs. First time doing so. Chicks are now 18 days old. Observing their behavior being reared by the hen opposed to being raised in a brooder with lighting. They really learned the "how to be a chicken" quickly 😂. I couldn't of had better timing and weather. Within 7 days they were out following mom around scratching compost and fighting each other over bugs. Returning to the coop at dark stair stepping their way up into the nesting box with the hen and nestling in to keep warm. Its really something! Definitely going to let my hens raise more chicks naturally in the near future. And im really impressed by the Australorp shes been a really good mother hen
I have a game hen and she's a really good mother . Wouldn't believe it if I didn't c it myself at 3 -3½ wks old she had her chics roosting n a tree . Way better foragers . My incubator chickens totally rely on me . Even had to pick grass for them to get them to eat it on their own . I bought chickens to give eggs away and didn't realize the cost of grain . I'm now hatching out chicks to sell to compensate for grain . Got 15 different breeds of some beautiful pullets. Breeding production into color and have some gorgeous chicks .
I have a Buff Orpington named Hollandaise (Holland) and she is so sweet, she doesn't want me to hold her but she always says Hello and has no problems hanging out near me.
Our Midnight Majesty had very light feathering on her legs. They’re truly a fantastic mix of the Barred Rock and Black Copper Maran; they get the laying capabilities and egg size from the Barred Rock, and the egg color from the Maran! We had to put her down this year from Marek’s, but I miss my little Maxxine each and every day❤️!
I know it is a year later but I still decided to do research and i believe that one orpington with similar color to the welsummers is a crele orpington.
5/6 of my Midnight majesty Marans have feathered legs. Also the chick with the spot on his head ended up barred and turned out to be a roo. According to the tractor supply I got them from they’re sex linked .
Do you have any advice on raising fall chicks? Especially trying to get them adjusted to the cooler temps? I’ve heard this winter is going to be rough in Texas.
I got chicken math, lol I just got 3 new chicks, bringing my total to 10. I now have my perfect flock. I got an Easter egger, Rhode Island Red, and Black Copper Maria
I let my hens raise the baby chicks i ordered this year and its by far the best! No mess no smell and no integration period i dont see how i could go back to brooding in the house lol. 3 separate times hens went broody and i got my chicks raised without any effort 😅
I'm all excited got 6 feather babies . Ordered an incaboter from qquest n it came broken n of course the china company DID NOT stand behind their replacement agreement ! I can't tell if my chickens r depressed their all so spoiled . I now have 15-17 different breeds . Breeding production into color . Got lucky n got two roos from a straight run batch . Americana and Araucana 👍 I want to get the all black chicken , banty and silky . If u want a great bird cross something w a game they R excellent mothers . Incubator chicks r so dumb most of their instincts to forage r breed outta m .
MM isnt really a Marans and i hate hatcheries that call it that....they are a cross of a black copper Marans cock to a Rhode Island Red hen...more eggs but not as dark...they should just call it Midnight Majestic layer.
I love how excited you are with the introduction of each chick!! I hope they are what you predicted!!! Can’t wait to find out!
100% chicken geek, through and through!
I just love you and your personality. What a beautiful soul! The chicken education is just a plus!
Aw, thank you! And thank you for joining along!

This is so fun! Can you band their legs with your guesses so we can have an update video of what they grew into?
This is a great idea. Need to look into leg bands now!

I have 22 week old Lavender Orpingtons, they are the sweetest ❤

Yes. Please why did you choose these types
Lavender Orps i think...wheatens are normally white but some can be white-ish yellow...the stripe chick maybe partridge or jubilee orp?
Where did you order the chicks from?
Lovely. They are adorable. Hows the progress on the house? Any updates in the future?
Beautiful chicks. Can’t wait to see what they grow into.
All of the chicken videos I do want to know why you chose those. I can only have 2 because of my city and am so conflicted.
Chickie Babies - what’s not to love?! Really looking forward to your upcoming content you mentioned in this video!!! 🥚🐣🐥🐓

Yes on the “why you ordered” video!
Great video! My antimalware blocked the Grubterra link, said it was riskware. Not sure what's up with that but wanted to let you know.
if i dont do it separately ill forget...your Wellies are all pullets no doubt at all! cockerels have a blurry face not the sharp eye lines.
Do you have any advice on raising fall chicks? Especially trying to get them adjusted to the cooler temps? I’ve heard this winter is going to be rough in Texas.
Which is best for meat chickens and best for eggs?
Yes please, video of why you ordered the chicks that you did!!!!
