Great job. Some very smart techniques. Looks fantastic. Even after painstakingly removing all the hot glue, it was still too heavy? I admire all your projects. Do you live in a place that has more hours in each day? I'm impressed.
yes, the plywood was definitely not a good choice... and all the epoxy filets... May be with balsa it would work better. i wish longer days were an option... (and shorter work weeks too :) )
thanks, yes, that was boardcad to make the template, but now that i make wing foil boards mainly, i find it better to use fusion 360... more difficult to make the template though. the plywood was 3mm, plenty strong, but the board ended to heavy... so it's a decoration now, not a board i surf.
Very cool build! Too bad it isn’t surfable. I’m currently working on a 3d printed transparent surfboard. So your lamination technique was pretty interesting!
thanks! good luck, I hope you'll make a video of it... lamination is very tricky to get fair, mine still had slight dips between the wood, may be a thicker plastic would work better.
@@matshape there definitely will be a video about it! Currently I’m gluing all the individual pieces together. I think the sagging of the fiberglass over the cavity’s is very hard to change. Hopefully mine isn’t gonna do that, but I think it will.
The best board shaper in the UAE by far!
Incredible as always, beautiful dude 🫡🤙👏.
