But, Dean after watching this video. I believe my technic is all wrong. It could be my color selection also. I think I will double down on the jerkbait and give it another try. Great VIDEO. Great video thanks Dean. I think that unknown colour is Uroka Wakasagi or something like that. I've also had success with matte pearl white. I've always used the standard HT hooks without issue. One of mine seems to be running a bit crooked. Would you suggest I twist the tow point slightly with pliers to get it to run straight? Also wanted to add that I tried fly fishing for Barra on my last trip but struggled with my casting. Turns out that Barra flies are very different to the smaller flies I'd been practicing with. Now that I'm back in Bass territory - what flies would you recommend using at Maroon/Hinze etc?

    • @DeanSilvester
      @DeanSilvester  4 года назад +1

      yes 100%, barra flies are way heavier and difficult to cast without the right type of line and rod weight etc.
      Yes bend the tow point slightly until you get it to track straight again, if its not tracking straight it won't get the depth you need to get a bite.
      I only ever use one type of fly for bass and thats the bass vampire.
