Hey brother I just wanted to say that your public speaking has improved immensely from these old videos. You’re doing great and have really grown as a speaker.
Getting to the point where you actually experience feeling crappy after you eat junk food is essential to quitting junk food. But you have to get away from it for a while, a couple weeks I think, before your body gets to the point where it recognizes re-initiation and sends out the crappy feelings. That's a hard road to hoe especially if you are reasonably good at limiting the bad stuff. You may think that your OK with just one scookie every 3 days for instance when in fact you have to go cold turkey for lots of days before your body come to understand how much better you feel without it. A couple of years ago I got to this point with white flour and gluten; most times even a small amount creates sensations and feelings that are negative so I have a strong association with those things and feeling "crappy" but sugar is a lot more powerful!
no its really not. i quit junk foods for 3 months in early 2024 and after 3 months i was eating junk foods again and gained back the 35lbs i lost. ive now been eating junk foods again for 4 months and gained 45lbs back and i feel like hell every day yet i keep it eating.
This is great but my Mom won't stop giving me junk food. She tries to give me a "balanced diet". I honestly just want to move on and let go (and because I am in cross fit and on the basketball team). No one guilt tripped me because I knew about the importance of diet from the very beginning. I tried telling my Mom what my goal is but doesn't listen because of all of these excuses.
Love the shout out for Topo Chico! It's one of the first things I pick up whenever I travel to Texas. And thanks for your channel. Just discovered it during the quarantine and I'm finding it extremely informative and helpful.
I like the part when u said”so when I craved sugar, I just ate an apple and drank water. Brilliant advice. So all I have to do is eat healthy. Ahhh!!! Got it. Thanks❤❤
the Struggle is REAL i don't drink, Never eat out, never have junk, no cheese or processed food , BUT I bake ALOT for friend & family and it all smells SO good, and i try to tell myself it is better for me cause I make it and it is all fresh ingredients(or the best quilty) ....I MUST make the balance of being full with real food before and know that a "taste" is JUST THAT, it is going to taste the same NOT BETTER the 2nd 3rd 4th time and it WILL make me feel gross(negative effects) if I have more than that taste and in the end I KNOW I am never going to fool myself into health & muscle
Lucky - sounds like you're sacrificing your personal health to make your friends and family happy! Filling yourself up with good food ahead of time is a great idea, but that's pretty tough putting yourself in that situation and then hoping motivation will keep you from eating.
One thing that helps is to learn to cook well. That you can cook well tasty foods makes you less depentend for the junkfood. I used to love to eat hamburgers. Not just the fast food burgers but good reataurant stage burgers made by real cheffs. But when i learned to cook better burger that premium restaurants would serve, i didn´t want to spend my money on a bad or mediocre burger. I wanted good superior burger and i would have to see all the effort to get the incredients, prepp and make that burger. After thinking that the process would take about two hours you really have to think is that burger really worth of two huors of your time. I did the same thing at the corona time with my favourite chinesse dish. I didn´t like to take away and that time everything was take away only and no eating in restaurant. I learned to make my version of the dish and it was way more better. But here is a big difference. Making that dish from the scratch you can avoid all the unhealthy from it, cook big pan of that and you have 3-4 meals with less money. Now i´ve been on ketokegenic lifestyle over 8 months and lost 45 lbs. I get so satisfyed and full that i don´t even get cravings. I have 24/7 access to soda, chocolate, cookies and some other snacks. I just don´t want to put those things in my mouth. First of all in ketogenic diet you really have to keep your carbs as low as possible and common line is that no more than 20 grams of carbs a day that you would not be kicked out of ketosis. Also when i started keto the first thing i noticed, my joint pains were gone. I once ate too much of carbs (after two months) and the next morning tose joint pains striked back like lightning and i didn´t wanted back to that. My knees hurt so much that it was painfull to get out of bed and stand. So that is propably the best motivator. Other things like loosing 45 lbs weight and other health benefits i´ve gained so far, i sure don´t want to loose those for a freeking candybar. Not gonna happen.
Hello, im a teen who started cooking my own meals, exercising and stuff, but working with dumbbels(what i like) hurts my upper traps like overuses it, oh and im trying to fix my diet since i eat junk here and there, but my family gets it in the house, cant see them stopping that. And for some reason i literally can barely or hard to resist when they be having some chips or chocolate. What do i so about that
I just eat pure fast food for 4 years already mostly cuz I don’t know how to shop . So idk what to make it’s just so overwhelming. Fast food is just easy . But it’s been 4 years already I’m gonna be 29 I don’t wanna die in my 30s
I don’t know if this is all that helpful. What are you supposed to do if you live with people that buy junk food? I’ll read the books and see if that helps
That makes it tough! We actually had this question come up in the Man Flow Yoga Community a few weeks ago. The answer is to have your own healthy alternatives available.

For me, not having junk food in the house is rarely a barrier. I *have* gotten in the car and gone to buy something before... 😞
how has it been going on with your journey to stop eating fast food?
@@PanchitoLopez-su2zn Unfortunately, I'm still struggling with the deprivation part..
You can start by buying fruits and vegetables and make food for yourself like a salad and eating fulling things like salad lots of water
Where I live u can order junk at 3am (or healthy food, but those people are sleeping at that time 🫠) and it'll be delivered within 30min 🥲🥲

The hard part that's hard for me is the fact the I work at a fast food restaurant so it's hard to resist it
That makes sense. Willpower is finite, so you'll have to work on ways to avoid eating the food.

The hardest part about throwing out junk is living with someone with a high metabolism that eats it and never gains weight. Its annoying lol
That's understandable :)

Thanks!
Thank you so much I need to stop eating all this unecasery junk food because I dont want to go down the rong road

t0nyc0nde, my sentiments exactly. Well said.
The hard part for me is my sister has so much junk in the house and it is hard not to eat it
That makes sense. Maybe the two of you can use this as an opporunity to talk about healthy eating habits.
Junk food is like my best friend its almost as if i cant live without it its gonna be hsrd to quit
But is your best friend helping or harming you in the long run?
@ManFlowYoga yeah that's true I have fast metabolism so I can eat whatever I want but I know it's not good

You have to talk to whoever buys the food! Important life lesson, learn self control now and not when you're an adult.
Surrounded by family who bake sweets nonstop
That can definitely be a hard one. But you can do it, figure out ways to make it work for you.
