    Hey crew! Welcome to my new series. I mention at the end which palette I am focusing on in February but I am happy to take suggestions for which palette you want to see me use in March xox

    This just motivated me to stop buying so many palettes and just use the ones I already have, because I honestly forget which ones I own and which ones I don’t. Low buy here I come 😂

    I used to never use that pink shade, until one day I discovered that if I build it up on the lid by itself it takes on this strawberry ice cream shade that is quite pretty for a simple casual day look. But I understand that that might be too cutesy for most people. I just recommended this palette to a friend yesterday after showing her how to she can use some of the shadows and I've sent her the link to this video! Excellent timing!

    This has definitely given me some more ideas on how to actually use the Chocolate Bar palette, rather than just using Salted Caramel & Marzipan everyday. I definitely find one look with a palette & then just use that forever.

    It’s funny, I’m new to makeup but I’ve already collected more palettes than I need and decided to do the same thing this year. My January palette was Modern Renaissance and I used it every day for work. I’ve decided on Naked Heat for February, so we’ll see how that goes...

    • @KitschSnitch
      @KitschSnitch  7 лет назад +2

      I definitely want to feature both of those palettes in upcoming months. I might feature the Naked Heat in March but I am holding off on the MR for autumn... it seems difficult to use in summer :)

  • @EdenBaynes
    @EdenBaynes 7 лет назад +18

    I realised I have around 50 palettes so I’m doing a palette a week as it almost uses up the whole year. I’m also on a budgeted low buy. Good luck for the year 💕

    I love this idea. I’ve been doing one palette per week so I don’t too bored.

    • @KitschSnitch
      @KitschSnitch  7 лет назад +4

      Yeah I know a few people who did that last year and thats what gave me the inspiration for this idea. I was thinking of doing it every week, but I didnt think it gave me enough time to really use a palette properly and also I wouldn't be able to make a video series about it if I had to change it up every week.

    • @jamiea4350

    Loved your review of the Chocolate Bar palette. It's so thorough when it's enjoyed and hopefully loved as a 1 month palette. Also, it's so cool how you can learn something or be surprised something by playing for a longer time with a palette. I'd love to see you either do Kathleen's Dream St. ~ for a "safer" palette lol~ or to step out into the danger zone with ABH Prism or Natasha's Lila palette if you have that one. 😉💖

  • @ImageryDoesntFit

    This video reminded me of how palette reviews used to be on RUclips. Not that I dislike the first-impression-esque reviews that we have now. But this was a nice kind of sit down and chat and like most of your, Hayley's and BN's videos it was a good and comforting watch for a day stuck in bed in pain. I don't have a request for March, but you could focus on anything and I'll watch the hell out of it. I hope you enjoy making these videos as much we all enjoy watching them! xxx

  • @jennw6809

    I *loved* this video, and am so glad it is a new series! I don't own the Chocolate Bar, so I was fascinated by this review (although I'm sure it's also an interesting revisit for those that got it a while ago). You gave such a thorough review after having used it for a month. I loved the shade by shade rundown. Also, you told me a while back that you don't really do tutorials -- so naturally I was thrilled by you including the tutorial at the end! I wasn't looking for anything long and complicated, I just want to do a quick and simple, everyday eye look just like you did. I hope you continue to include a short demo of your favorite look of the month in this series. I think the look I was asking about probably came from your Huda Desert Dusk (it was a pinky look) so I will be excited to see your review of that one! xoxox

    Love to see you do Saint & Sinner at some point during the year. Or Prism.
    Also, even though you’re always gorgeous, you’re looking especially gorgeous in this video.
    Good old Too Faced always adding a random pink, although I used it in my first look with the Chocolate Gold!

    • @KitschSnitch
      @KitschSnitch  7 лет назад +2

      Hey honey! I am planning on dedicating a month to Saint and Sinner, I am just waiting for it to get a bit cooler because most of those shades are quite dark and smokey x

    i loved this, you've inspired me to try this as well. I liked the way you included a tutorial and i loved the pictures of different looks that you included, the discussion on how you used colours together was great to, often the challenge with a palette is 'how do i incorporate colours outside of my comfort zone?' seeing how other people do it helps. Thank you, looking forward to following this series.

  • @Emily_J
    @Emily_J 7 лет назад +1

    I'm glad you did this one as your first palette, I got it a couple years ago after hearing so many beauty youtubers rec it, and I was so disappointed in it. I'm very pale, so a lot of the medium-deep colors look very harsh and dark on me, and I prefer light, cool toned looks. But now I feel inspired to give it another go! Def need to try that purple/gold mix! Thanks!

  • @erynnm3045
    @erynnm3045 7 лет назад +1

    With the more glittery shades, if you don’t want the glitter you can tap the glitter off when you pick it up with the brush and the shades will apply matte on the lid without any glitter fallout.

    • @KitschSnitch
      @KitschSnitch  7 лет назад

      It’s not the glitter that annoyed me, it was the horrible colour that turned all my looks muddy x

    I love the idea of this series. New subscriber here! I waited until Morphe went to Ulta to buy the Jaclyn Hill palette. It is my favorite out of my 5 other palettes that I own and I refuse to buy another until I hit pan on a shade other than on a transition color.

    I discovered my Lorac Pro Palettes again and noticed how much I love them.

    It makes you realize that you do not need 30-40 palettes.

  • @TheAsianCutie93
    @TheAsianCutie93 7 лет назад +24

    Maybe for your next palette, you should pick one that looks similar to a new release. For example, I’m sure there’s a palette with similar shades to the Soft Glam palette that Anastasia Beverly Hills is going to come out with. It might be nice to remind people of that. Or something that gives a similar look and feel to Kylie Cosmetics’ Blue Honey palette.

    • @KitschSnitch
      @KitschSnitch  7 лет назад +8

      I don't have perfect dupes for either of those palettes. To create "dupes" for palettes you generally need to reach for multiple palettes... which sort of goes against what I am doing here. I get that it is great to show similar palettes to what is trending, but I am more trying to appreciate what I already have instead of replicating trending palettes.

    • @TheAsianCutie93

    You picked the J Hill palette for the shortest month of the year, LOL. I hear ya on the price but I think you'll really like the palette. I enjoy it and find myself reaching for it loads and I'm not actually a fan of Morphe.

    • @KitschSnitch

      I can easily use 4 shades per day so I am not worried haha. I have many more palettes that are really large so it won't be the last large palette I feature. I am the opposite to you, I prefer other Morphe palettes over this one so currently I am begrudgingly using this... hopefully I start liking it more than I currently do.

      Yeah I do own all of the naked palettes. I want to try to use a couple of them this year, I might wait for winter to use the naked smoky x

    Just found your channel. I liked the tip w the purple & gold. It makes a pretty color. Its a shame you didnt like the pink color b/c the look you did w it was really pretty imo

    You've picked the biggest palette for the shortest month of the year.....you silly sausage! That's exactly the sort of thing I would do :D

      Haha I know! Luckily I am not really trying any new palettes this month so I can wear pretty much this palette all the time. I was just trying to find a palette that isn't all colour and isn't all nude and this was the one I thought of haha

    Honestly I was expecting you to do MR for Feb since it's all pink and Valentinesy. Looking forward to you doing it because I'm still on the fence about getting it :)

      I will be doing the MR, but I am waiting for autumn since it doesn't really suit summer looks that I have been liking lately x

    Oh I love this as I struggle with this palette for some reason. Makes me wonder how many of the shades can be transformed like you did with the gold and the purple...

    I would love to see you do Huda Beauty Desert Dusk (or the rose gold/pink palette though I’m not sure it’s name)!
    I’m going to go back and stalk your collection/declutter vids to see what else you have!

    For March, you should use the sweet peach!! I'd love to see your opinions on it!!!

      I am thinking of leaving the Sweet Peach for spring... I dont want to do too many TF palettes close together x

    Love this idea, I might try something similar because I feel like I ignore so many of my palettes. What foundation are you wearing in this video is looks so good! xx

    I loved this idea! I just found your channel and I immediately subscribed! Lovely! I think that it could be a good idea to separate the tutorial part from the review itself, maybe uploading the makeup look before the end of the month in a sort of "throw back" type of video :) it's cool to see older palettes mentioned and still see tutorials and inspirational looks with them :)

    I need to start going back to some of my starter palettes I got. I keep getting new colourpop palettes and single Super Shock Shadows so I just neglect things I loved so much. Although I just got prism and I really wanna play with it.

    I kinda do the same thing with my collection but I do it on a weekly basis, every Sunday night before I go to bed i choose a palette that I’ll use for that entire week for going to school and I try and make sure I use each one before moving on to the same ones again, I actually have a list and I check it off every time, unless I’m traveling then I just choose a truly diverse one :)
