I love BL series as well, I am a huge fan but no matter how much analytical videos these fandoms make I don't fall for that trap. Lovely Writer is so...amazing. Everything about it is different from other BL's in a way. A healthy main couple and side characters that we love to hate/love. I really love how this series touches into reality by calling out the BL industry. Everyone needs to start taking notes tbh.

I would say this series shows us the bitter reality of BL industry in the most factual way they could ever be. I have just started watching Thai BL series since last year (thanks to covid) and oh boy how i was genuinely concern on many different issues. The extreme shipping culture, to name one from many of them, is what I find the most amusing and annoying at the same time. It's amusing because the chemistry between the two lead actors is often indication of the success of bonding and teamwork between the two lead actors combined with their commendable acting skill/range. Now, it's annoying because there are always fans who take their fascination to the next level of "shipping" and blurting (bully) comments and making contents like Lovely Writer shows us. When I first know of this shipping culture, I got so frustrated that I asked my gay friend who introduced me to BL series if it ever annoys him because i felt like the roots of this shipping is coming from sexualizing gay people. And he confirmed that feeling... Kudos to Lovely Writer team for such a groundbreaking series. So proud of the leap Teesinta made as a director after producing TharnType Season 1.

Yes, there are keen fans here on RUclips who ship certain romances (real? imaginary?) between actors. But what we see here is aggressive defamation + malicious invasion of privacy. "Typical of the BL world" - really?? To me, that has a homophobic ring to it: i.e. gay men are crazy, volatile. bitchy, and gay actors = unstable, high maintenance, scandal-prone.
I don’t understand how people can get so obsessively absorbed in the lives of other people who don’t even know you exist. I understand being fans and being supportive of who you like, but not to the point that it negatively affects their life. Why can’t people mind their business and focus on improving themselves? Unfortunately, the fanbase in this show is an example of people in real life who think infiltrating someone’s life and privacy will give them some sort of fulfillment in their own lives. I’m glad the show addressed this because it is another form of toxic cancel culture; it can be very detrimental for the innocent people involved.

Usually the casting of the characters and their younger counterparts in flashbacks are just to tell a story of their past, but with the kid acting as sib, it's just different. True. This series shows what fans actually do for real. They doesn't freaking know the difference between reality and fiction. I love BL series as well, I am a huge fan but no matter how much analytical videos these fandoms make I don't fall for that trap. No matter how much big the fandom is of a ship, they should atleast have some common sense. Until and unless the actors or idols come out and reveal something about them, they have no rights to interfere in and judge somebody's personal life.

Lovely Writer is so...amazing. Everything about it is different from other BL's in a way. A healthy main couple and side characters that we love to hate/love. I really love how this series touches into reality by calling out the BL industry. Everyone needs to start taking notes tbh.

I would say this series shows us the bitter reality of BL industry in the most factual way they could ever be. I have just started watching Thai BL series since last year (thanks to covid) and oh boy how i was genuinely concern on many different issues. The extreme shipping culture, to name one from many of them, is what I find the most amusing and annoying at the same time. It's amusing because the chemistry between the two lead actors is often indication of the success of bonding and teamwork between the two lead actors combined with their commendable acting skill/range. Now, it's annoying because there are always fans who take their fascination to the next level of "shipping" and blurting (bully) comments and making contents like Lovely Writer shows us. When I first know of this shipping culture, I got so frustrated that I asked my gay friend who introduced me to BL series if it ever annoys him because i felt like the roots of this shipping is coming from sexualizing gay people. And he confirmed that feeling... Kudos to Lovely Writer team for such a groundbreaking series. So proud of the leap Teesinta made as a director after producing TharnType Season 1.

Just a moment. We are constantly told that this is factual, realistic, typical of the BL world. But ... I need evidence. Yes, there are keen fans here on RUclips who ship certain romances (real? imaginary?) between actors. But what we see here is aggressive defamation + malicious invasion of privacy. "Typical of the BL world" - really?? To me, that has a homophobic ring to it: i.e. gay men are crazy, volatile. bitchy, and gay actors = unstable, high maintenance, scandal-prone.
I don’t understand how people can get so obsessively absorbed in the lives of other people who don’t even know you exist. I understand being fans and being supportive of who you like, but not to the point that it negatively affects their life. Why can’t people mind their business and focus on improving themselves? Unfortunately, the fanbase in this show is an example of people in real life who think infiltrating someone’s life and privacy will give them some sort of fulfillment in their own lives. I’m glad the show addressed this because it is another form of toxic cancel culture; it can be very detrimental for the innocent people involved.

Usually the casting of the characters and their younger counterparts in flashbacks are just to tell a story of their past, but with the kid acting as sib, it's just different. I feel like I can really believe that the cute kid actually grew up to be kao's nubsib. Whenever adult sib and gene talk about the past, I keep thinking abt that kid and going "aah that kid grew up to be such a cheeky and obsessive lover ehehe"
