Biking those trails are a good way to spend a lifetime. It seems like quite a few Europeans have been biking through Chicago during the past few summers.
We've met so many great people here and absolutely loved our time crossing the country. So much so that weve decided to extend our trip beyond New York..! you'll have to watch the next episode to see where we end up 😉
Could definitely spend a long time exploring here! So much so we decided to extend our trip after new York and are currently riding south to Mexico City! Hope you enjoy the vid getting into NY, having some tech difficulties at the moment but it'll be ready in a few weeks
I was just looking at your map. If you're going to take the ferry back from Atlantic Highlands, it's worth spending a little time during the day taking the bike path that goes up into Sandy Hook New Jersey. It's a beautiful little ride.
We've actually already rode that part. We're a bit behind on the videos, and really enjoyed that stretch along the shore before getting the ferry, but didn't have time to go further as we got 6 flats on our final day!!! Leading to us almost missing the ferry ...
Love these videos! Do you have a page or post where you list out your gear? Specifically I'm wondering what camera/equipment you use for making these videos. Thanks!
Hi Matt, thanks, glad your enjoying them! I don't have a list up yet, I'm going to do a full pack list video soon. But as for camera, I just use a GoPro, and edit the video on an app on my phone. So nothing special, try to keep it simple while we're on the road. Next video will be out in a week or so 👍
@@weridebikesplaces Cool! So to capture video where the camera is looking forward while you're riding, you just hold the GoPro on some kind of handheld stick? Or is it mounted on your bike somehow?
We do both. Sometimes just hold it in our hand, and will keep it in our pocket while we ride, which lets us film to the side and behind and stuff, and also we've got a mount that's screwed under our Garmin mount on the front, that's great for when there's lots of traffic or more technical riding

The trails were definitely the best part. We met a few Europeans out there, but we are Aussies ourselves 🙂
Your perseverance is admirable.
🙌
Thanks glad to have found you and I now look forward to watching your adventure over here in the UK.
Thanks for watching and hope it enjoy the videos! The UK will be where we eventually finish our round the world trip!
As divided as our country can appear according to the media. The kindness of americans never ceases to amaze me!

You must continue on just a little bit further to the center of the universe, where it all started, of course I'm talking about Boston,MA!
Ha it was getting a bit cold for us around there so we've turned south instead!
I completed the Trans America Bicycle Trail in 2018. It's all on my YT channel. I miss these scenes.
👍
