I suppose this has some Uyghur/Mongolian influence. I think so because some part of it sounds a little Turkic/Iranian to me. Also the percussion beginning from 0:57 sounds a bit like Indian Tabla or that of middle east.
Can someone throw a light on the origin of this song?

Of course it has some middle east elements in it! It is about Dunhuang, dude. It's all about the silk road and cross-cultural communication at that time lol. But for the music, I suppose it's just a modern song that's recently composed.

It’s Tang Dynasty style. The Tang ruled what is present-day Xinjiang and the Stan countries, so they had access to a lot of Turkic and Persian cultures, which in turn influenced them.

Dunhuang was an important trade hub of China along the Silk Route. The instruments in this piece originated from the Persians/Iranians, rather than the Turks, who were located further north and east near present-day Mongolia. Modern Uyghurs are a result of recent mixture between Turkic nomads, who introduced the Uyghur language, and Indo-Aryan natives such as the Tocharians, who formed a culture sphere with Iranian groups such as the Sogdians. On the other hand, the earliest direct contact made by the Chinese court (not counting unofficial ones) took place when the Han dynasty invaded the Greco-Bactrian Kingdom in the War of the Heavenly Horses to establish controls over warhorses for its war against the Xiongnu. Following the defeat of the Xiongnu, the Han dynasty established a garrison town that became known as Dunhuang, where Han Chinese, Turco-Mongolic, and Iranic cultures fused together. However, the main source of the instruments and cultural influence is mainly between China and Persia.
