i'm running a hardened insert nozzle where the insert is coated with anti-stick supposedly. so i'd probably not use brass, but for a regular nozzle who cares. it really seems like we could dovetail the open source simplicity of of the mp3dp with advanced open source stuff like rat rig and helge keck etc are putting out. like running ratos on an mp3dp and using a silicone nozzle wiper. of course those are simple examples.

I will take a look at that. It would clean the nozzle better I'm sure! Thanks for the suggestion!
I recall the standard Marlin clean pattern is zigzag triangles; i'm sure you can implement this in other firmware in any number of ways
use metal brush , it will be better ))) do not use silicon , best is sand paper 100
