Academy 1/48 Scale F14-A "Pukin Dogs" Finished Build.

Took 3 months to finally finish this kit, and life suddenly caught up so im uploading videos at a slower pace. Originally I was planning to get Tamiyas F14 next as I want a “Jolly Rodgers” scheme but as of right now, it's out of my budget so I stuck with this Academy kit.
Had several problems with the kit as there were several gaps throughout the whole airframe although this was resolved with putty. Also, the canopy did not fit properly and it was a pain sanding it down to get it in the body but I liked how it turned out in the end.
Lastly, the nose came in two parts which you had to glue together. Once glued the parts did not align properly and had to sand it down which lost a few of the detailing and panel lines on the nose.
All in all it's an old kit from Academy dating back to the eighties I think. It was still a great kit to build in the end and my first plane, can't wait to try a Tamiya next or a Meng F18 Super Hornet for my next build.
