For all those who don't know or who don't read the comics, this is Bruce Wayne in his 2nd year as the Batman. He's still getting his "feet wet". He's still in the process of learning how to become the world's greatest detective and how to be a hero. He doesn't have all his arsenal of technology yet like the future, older him will have, nor is he insanely jacked yet like his future, older self is and how most people familiarize him to be.

@@edwinseda897 man I'm hyped af. The darkness, edginess and sinister vibes it gives is perfect. How Batman and especially Gotham should be portrayed for the most part. And it's rated R? Hell yeah, DC nailed it with this. To think this is just 25% of the movie they've been able to shoot thus far makes me even more excited for it.

I don't remember the name of the comic right now, but there is one where he's fighting like dozens of men when he was on his training journey, beating up all of them, and after a couple of hours someone asks why the rest of the guys still standing do not fight him: because they are afraid of him now.

Pattinson just looks the youngest, but he's actually older than Christian Bale was when he first played Batman.
I just checked and its true. Bale was 31 in 2005 (release of Begins), Pattinson is 34 right now.
Which makes sense, since that was the earliest he was Batman.
I think Bale poured himself into the role and the reason he looks older is coz Bruce wayne is more mature than an average 31 year old. He has seen some shit.. Nd I think Bale being the greater Actor of the two could ooze it through his face

@@liquidsword601 I actually liked the Twilight Saga. The only other movies I've seen him in were Remember Me (which is terribly heartbreaking), and The Lighthouse. Any actor that can stand toe to toe with Willem Dafoe on screen, and turn the typecasting of a teen romantic vampire on its ass, is a worthy actor in his own right.

The trailer was amazing! And their use of Nirvana to set a very dark tone which is what Batman in general is, AND they didn't basically show the entire movie in the trailer. Simply amazing work!

Regardless I love the vibe, dark gritty young batman still finding himself in Gotham. And also, fucking finally when batman takes off the cowl his eye makeup is still on. And Jeremy jahns made a great point I never thought about before, the closest we have ever gotten to a real riddler movie is like the saw movies. Because riddler does keep people in death traps for batman to solve in order to save their lives, similar to saw and how they have riddles to help them escape and are in death traps. loving this take and vibe ive been waiting for a batman movie like this for a long time. like a noire detective film.

Twilight doesn't really have a negative impact on his career anymore. Especially after Good Time and The Lighthouse the only people who think he's bad are the one who aren't paying attention. Everyone in charge of actually hiring actors is aware of how good he is. He was able to get those indie roles because of the star power he gained from twilight. Honestly it’s probably done nothing but help.
Anyone who's paid any attention to his career the last 5-8 years wouldn't have any doubt of this guys chops.

Apparently this movie is based off “The long Halloween”
In broad strokes it seems, as The Long Halloween is Year 2-3 of Batman and is about the end of the traditional mob in Gotham as costumed villains start to move in. Definitely not the Holiday Killer like the actual plot of the comic but it’s general story it was telling
