To clarify the beginning of the episode, Lille wasn't aiming his rifle at the Soul Reapers, but at Uryu. He only stopped aiming at him once he saw Uryu shoot Renji through the chest, showing that none of them still remotely trust Uryu.

Mayuri is really terrifying. I must admit, that bankai was purely disgusting, creepy and fearsome. Far more creepy than some horror games. It's like he's toying with his own Bankai, he doesn't feel any empathy. He's truly a PEAK character.

Mayuri is a very bad match up for almost any character other than Juha,gerard, Lille , and uryu…. He’s not an elite swordsmen but he makes up for it in being a walking horror laboratory 😂😂
@@stayfly68pretty much had he fought Gerard, Lille or Uryu let alone Jugram he's guaranteed to lose simply because they are on a different level in terms of combat skills which is why the entire fight headed up to Yhwach was basically miraculous almost everyone who fought a quincy during this arc was a near perfect counter, Askin for Urahara, Yoruichi, and Grimmjow; Gerard for the three captains even though he was killed by Yhwach, slowed him down at least; Lille for Shunsui thanks to his connection with nanao's family he got a hold of the god slaying sword which reflects light, Uryu for Jugram, Mayuri for Pernidas and Ichigo, Uryu, Jugram's altered future vision his revenge against Yhwach for his village, Aizen, Renji, Tsukishima, Orihime, and Still silver.
To be fair Askin's way of fighting does rely on aggravating his opponent, so he tends to walk away or run away so his opponent gets the initiative to attack him first. Then again smart move on Mayuri to not buy Askin's taunt and just let him go.
Out of every character in Bleach, Mayuri would be the one that I'd want to fight the absolute least. It's not just the fact that actually beating him is an insanely tall order, it's also the fact that he doesn't just defeat you, he makes you regret challenging him.

I think the question is more of a why, rather than how. Like yes, the arm was in Yhwach's possession, but I would have liked to find out about things from the arm's perspective (like, was loyalty automatic since it knew of the soul king's fate, did it have questions, etc)
imo it's kinda like how it happened with mimihagi, it saw Ukitake's suffering and decided to "help" him, might as well be the case for pernida as he saw what Yhwach was going through, OR, it might as well be Yhwach forcing him to submit or something
The left arm was quincy anyway, as the soul king was 1 of 2 full hybrid beings (the other being ichigo). So pernida naturally had an allegiance to the quincies anyway.
This fight proves that if there is one thing Mayuri has over Urahara it would be adaptability the amount of counters he comes up with in the fly is insane.
Urahara does the same. In fact, the plot beats of his battle with Askin are near identical to this one, but Urahara never loses control of the battle like Mayuri does
@AL.EGATOR Also one think I like to point out is that Mayuri seems to be way more focused on research of chemical/"biological" natural (if you can call Modifying souls biology lmao) than Urahara. Mayuri's main researches we've seen are drugs, mod-zanpakuto and Nemu, which was a soul created entirely out of reshi, so basically as if a cientist in our real world was able to create a fetus out of chemicals without using any human reproductive cell, which is absolutely insane to think about and absolutely puts him up there with the biggest genius of Bleach, Urahara does dwelve into soul stuff (like with hollowfication and such) but most of his researches seem to be of "mechanical" nature like the Konpaku which are the bodies the shinigami inhabit in the human world, all of his gadgets in his candy store, portal-making devices and etc. Even his version of the Hogyoku seems to have involved very little "biological" research since it was Aizen the one who decide to feed it with souls and not Urahara

I got scared when I heard people say the whole episode was cgi, thank god it was a lie, it was only 6 seconds and it wasn't even that bad The fight overall was just as gruesome as the manga, and the va and ost killed it, thank you studio pierrot and kubo😊

Toshiro is physically 14 in soul reaper years, so younger than ichigo physically, and he was evenly matched with the 3rd ranked Espada and easily beat a sternritter once he had his bankai back, I legit don't get the toshiro hate. Yes ichigi progresses faster than anyone, because he's a genetic freak with connections to everything in the bleach universe
The toshiro hate is simple this character don't bring anything and ad nothing for him he isn't that good writed and isn't interresting at all compared to the other captain bring me one great thing in toshiro's character other than strenght

During the soul society arc he was one of the only people actually using their head and trying to figure out what was going on? The fact he seems to feel more of a responsibility to protect ithers than almost any ither captain making him feel like one of the more human characters? The fact that his status as a prodigy is actually more of a curse to him because people expect so much of him at a younger age, making hom try harder to improve faster (which he succeeded at btw). There are many reasons why toshiro is one of the top rated characters in bleach, consistently placing in the top 5 fan favorite characters, to imply there's no reason to like him is blatant bias. And using the reason of him not winning as a reason to hate hom is dumb, because again his losses are aizen twice, and a top tier sternritter with a power that directly counters him, but he also beat a 6th ranked Espada, matched 3rd ranked Espada, beat Yukio easily, and beat a sternritter once he got his bankai back, literally the argument of he never wins is false
Mayuri is a FREAK. Fighting him is always a nightmare for everyone. His techniques are ridiculous, he always has something up his sleeve and is absolutely unpredictable. One of the most capable captains in Gotei. Especially in TYBW.
I do agree a lot of characters have time to shine, but there are also a lot of characters who get humiliated or just barely appear. This is even more prevalent in the manga. An example being all the vizards whether that be the ones who became captains again or the others. In the manga they basically one shot by someone or lose fights because they get cocky
It seems the Soul Reapers had both arms since they were the ones who turned him into a corpse with no limbs or organs. In Yhwach's meeting with Ichibe, he used the Almighty which would've negged Ichibe and was gonna take the Soul Kings left arm, so Ichibe knowing he would lose it, decided to use it as a trade and sealed Yhwach's Almighty. So the seal was now placed in whcih he could only open his eyes upon death for Pernida.
This fight really makes you appreciate how OP the 0 Division are. Oetsu blitzed and one-shot Pernida with a failure of a sword when (eyepatched) Kenpachi failed. Hikifune overwhelmed and pummeled Volsterndig Pernida so utterly he couldn't do anything but helplessly defend himself until she ran out of spiritual pressure. Shutara effortlessly sealed away Volsterndig Pernida (as well as Uryu and the other 4 Quincy) when she used Bankai. Pernida never even had the chance to show his true form when facing the 0 Division. All these fights going forward are really going to highlight just how insane the 0 Division are compared to the normal 13 Court Guard Squads
In fairness, the only thing oetsu has on kenpachi (when directly comparing the 2 battles, not the characters themselves) is speed. Sayafushi almost teleports into pernida, it's that fast. Kenpachi just wants to have some fun, so he just kinda takes the mick a little bit
Also, it's a bit disingenuous to call sayafushi a failure. Oetsu calls it a failure because it's so sharp that no sheath can contain it, and the edge never dulls or chips. It's a "failure" because, in oetsus words, "it would put us swordsmiths out of business". It's actually the most OP zanpakuto in existence if you give it to someone who's insanely fast. Like imagine soi fon or yoruchi with sayafushi. They'd just one-shot everyone.
@@angelaizen2231 It's a failure because it's incomplete. The scabbard is part of a Zanpakuto, and sayafushi doesn't have one for the reason you mentioned. The wobbly effect will also hinder the edge alignment, ironically making it harder to properly cut something. The fact he could make such clean cuts with such a blade is a testament to Oetsu's incredible skill in zanjutsu. It being too sharp doesn't actually help it because it's the user's spiritual pressure that decides whether or not you can injure someone. It wouldn't be nearly as lethal in the hands of Soi-Fon or Yoruichi.

Most people would rate Mayuri around the bottom of their tier lists when it comes to captain power and yes strength and reiatsu level sure, but when it comes to intellect and adaptability he is only behind Kisuke. With prep he is one of the top tier captains.

Kinda weird, Pernida can neutralize yuha's almighty just like mimihagi. He really is a part of soul king, but no idea why he doesn't realise that. I haven't caught up to CFYOW. Even mimihagi knew that he was a part of soul king.

Neel, did you forget completely that Ichibei used the left hand (before it became "Pernida", presumably it possessed a Quincy named Pernida same way Mimihagi possessed Ukitake, but anyway)... Ichibei used the left hand to seal Yhwach's Almighty eyes in their first meeting a 1000 years ago, remember? Since Yhwach got his eyes back, and the Left hand is on his side, it means he either convinced it to join him or it joined him of its own will. Either way, that's how it became a Quincy. The Reio didn't give it to his son, Ichibei did.
Mayuri has always been a badass, this episode confirms that he would almost certainly defeat Kenpachi if it came to it. In TYBW he got all the love and if you look at the current roster of gotei 13 he is easily top 3 and you could maybe even make an argument that he is actually the strongest current captain.
We saw the left arm going to the Quincy l king. On the anime flashback which was not included in the manga where ichibei met with Ywhach, Ywhach grabbed the monks hand and a hand appeared from Ichibei that Ywhach afterwards absorbed. That was the left arm
About the lost of arm, it is right, Yhwach said it to Yamamoto that why Yhwach didn't include Yamamoto in the special war threats and we watched it with Grimmjow too, when he was removed of the espadas because Tousen amputed his arm. And the fight isn't over.
tbh he should have done the face paint like mayuri which is kinda similar to kathakali indian dancer's face paint and since neel is of indian origin (even mayuri is of indian origin as he is brown and his name literally means peacock in sanskrit) it would have suited him a lot.
Regarding how the soul king left arm became a Quincy, refer back to episode 24 of cour 2 in the meeting between Juha and Ichibe. Ichibe neutralized Juha’s Almighty as a result.
Hitsugaya is cocky he may not be oblivious about it but he is. He literally told to Gin and Aizen to their faces he was going to kill them for what happened to Momo. Also during the final battle in the fake town he was the first to attack Aizen and complemented him on not using his shikai. Yes Hitsugaya is cocky and he always catches L's for it in the show.

In the fashback of EP 24 Yhwach tried to take the left arm away from Ichibe but in exchange Ichibe used it to seal Yhwach Almighty, this is why yhwach didn´t have it in the war vs the OG Gotei 13 a thousand years ago. The left arm controls advancement, so by being with Yhwach for so long he evolved and thinks he´s a Quincy, also it evolves during the fight, for now it started as a baby/kid, evolved into the point he can speak a bit and will continue to evolve his inteligence as the fight progresses
[Tidbits] - Zaraki’s defeat is a proper indicator of the type of battle that is about to ensue, one that cannot be fought with simple power or might, a battle perfectly suited to a mad scientist. - The Left Hand governs “progress” or “evolution” and we saw that Ichibei used the left hand to seal away Ywach’s “Almighty”. Interestingly, it seems that the left hand (maybe through its ability to evolve) gained sentience and at some point sided with Yhwach and took on the name Pernida. Another point of interest is that Pernida was seemingly chained up, but we don’t know who did it or why. - As we all know Mayuri is a true scientist through and through and loves it in the way Kenpachi loves battle, so witnessing a foe who can evolve is an unbelievable dream come true. It’s such a high for Mayuri that he’s acting like a beast or fiend, expressing the same behavior that he often spoke down on. (As said by Mr.Tommo, “Mayuri islosing himself, growing closer to danger, and like Icarus flying too close to the sun” which is fitting given the whole sun outfit he was sporting) - Sidenote: It’s crazy that Mayuri just casually has tools that seem to be made out of people or souls - Sidenote 2: I noticed some Manga fans who don’t recall this fight upset because they think this was the whole fight but for anyone worried this episode only covers half of the fight.

Now, awakened Yhwach was strong enough to essentially one shot Ichibei. Imagine if Young Yhwach could use The Almighty in the first war 1000 years ago. Soul Reapers would've been dead meet.
You missed something in the first scene. The sniper was looking down his scope at Renji and Uryuu during their fight. He was about to snipe somebody (Uryuu if he failed to fight Renji, or Renji if he was going to beat Uryuu). Also, Mayuri is amazing, and his bankai lets him create a perfect counter for a specific threat based on info he gathers on them. Even still, he isn't screwing with Urahara, as his bankai is absolute nightmare fuel, even by Mayuri's standard. The proper counter to it is simply not to fight Urahara.
Remember back in i believe cour 1 when Mayuri locked himself in his lab and Akon and all them were wondering what he was doing? He was modifying his bankai for the fight against the quincies
These Toshiro comments must really be getting to you if you're mentioning them 2 videos in a row lol. What Ls did Toshiro take in the entirety of the show though? Aizen? Everyone not named Ichigo lost to Aizen. The Quincy? Everyone lost to them during the first invasion . What else? Toshiro compared to Everyone else is very inexperienced and has only been a soul reaper or even been aware of his power for a fraction of the time the other captains have. Your hate of Toshiro is irrationa but keep that same energy for later.
The release of spiritual pressure is through hands, so if you lose an arm, you'd be like 50% nerfed. Yhwach is the one that confirmed this when he defeated Yamamoto. Also, Ichibei used the Soul King's left arm to seal Yhwach's Almighty in the flashback in Cour 2. That's how Yhwach got the left arm. These Soul King body parts have become sentient on their own. They are no longer under Soul King's control.
I am pretty sure those two rings that mayuri threw were once either soul reapers or something else alive and he just did some really horrible experiments to convert them into those. And the way he basically tortures his bankai spirit is just insanity..
To answer yr question on why soul kings arm is wirking for Yayach (or however u spell his name)..go back to the flashback episode of Yawach at the oeace table with Ichibe (im bad with the names). When Ichibe went against Yawach, Ochibr was the one wjo had soul kings arm...but gave it up qhen Yawach attacked him....simce then.Yawach had aleays had the arm that is Pernida

It grants him regeneration, flight, stronger abilities and power, and stronger control over the weather. It literally makes no sense for him to not spam his Bankai. @@stayfly68pretty much had he fought Gerard, Lille or Uryu let alone Jugram he's guaranteed to lose simply because they are on a different level in terms of combat skills which is why the entire fight headed up to Yhwach was basically miraculous almost everyone who fought a quincy during this arc was a near perfect counter, Askin for Urahara, Yoruichi, and Grimmjow; Gerard for the three captains even though he was killed by Yhwach, slowed him down at least; Lille for Shunsui thanks to his connection with nanao's family he got a hold of the god slaying sword which reflects light, Uryu for Jugram, Mayuri for Pernidas and Ichigo, Uryu, Jugram's altered future vision his revenge against Yhwach for his village, Aizen, Renji, Tsukishima, Orihime, and Still silver.
To be fair Askin's way of fighting does rely on aggravating his opponent, so he tends to walk away or run away so his opponent gets the initiative to attack him first.
Then again smart move on Mayuri to not buy Askin's taunt and just let him go.
Out of every character in Bleach, Mayuri would be the one that I'd want to fight the absolute least.
It's not just the fact that actually beating him is an insanely tall order, it's also the fact that he doesn't just defeat you, he makes you regret challenging him.

If you remember back to the Yhwach-Ichibei flashback, Ichibei used soul king's left arm to seal Yhwach's Almighty, so he didn't randomly show up to the Quincy side!

I think the question is more of a why, rather than how. Like yes, the arm was in Yhwach's possession, but I would have liked to find out about things from the arm's perspective (like, was loyalty automatic since it knew of the soul king's fate, did it have questions, etc)
imo it's kinda like how it happened with mimihagi, it saw Ukitake's suffering and decided to "help" him, might as well be the case for pernida as he saw what Yhwach was going through, OR, it might as well be Yhwach forcing him to submit or something
The left arm was quincy anyway, as the soul king was 1 of 2 full hybrid beings (the other being ichigo). So pernida naturally had an allegiance to the quincies anyway.

Toshiro is physically 14 in soul reaper years, so younger than ichigo physically, and he was evenly matched with the 3rd ranked Espada and easily beat a sternritter once he had his bankai back, I legit don't get the toshiro hate. Yes ichigi progresses faster than anyone, because he's a genetic freak with connections to everything in the bleach universe

I do agree a lot of characters have time to shine, but there are also a lot of characters who get humiliated or just barely appear. This is even more prevalent in the manga. An example being all the vizards whether that be the ones who became captains again or the others. In the manga they basically one shot by someone or lose fights because they get cocky
It seems the Soul Reapers had both arms since they were the ones who turned him into a corpse with no limbs or organs.
In Yhwach's meeting with Ichibe, he used the Almighty which would've negged Ichibe and was gonna take the Soul Kings left arm, so Ichibe knowing he would lose it, decided to use it as a trade and sealed Yhwach's Almighty.
So the seal was now placed in whcih he could only open his eyes upon death for Pernida.

This fight really makes you appreciate how OP the 0 Division are. Oetsu blitzed and one-shot Pernida with a failure of a sword when (eyepatched) Kenpachi failed. Hikifune overwhelmed and pummeled Volsterndig Pernida so utterly he couldn't do anything but helplessly defend himself until she ran out of spiritual pressure. Shutara effortlessly sealed away Volsterndig Pernida (as well as Uryu and the other 4 Quincy) when she used Bankai. Pernida never even had the chance to show his true form when facing the 0 Division.
All these fights going forward are really going to highlight just how insane the 0 Division are compared to the normal 13 Court Guard Squads
In fairness, the only thing oetsu has on kenpachi (when directly comparing the 2 battles, not the characters themselves) is speed. Sayafushi almost teleports into pernida, it's that fast. Kenpachi just wants to have some fun, so he just kinda takes the mick a little bit
Also, it's a bit disingenuous to call sayafushi a failure. Oetsu calls it a failure because it's so sharp that no sheath can contain it, and the edge never dulls or chips. It's a "failure" because, in oetsus words, "it would put us swordsmiths out of business". It's actually the most OP zanpakuto in existence if you give it to someone who's insanely fast. Like imagine soi fon or yoruchi with sayafushi. They'd just one-shot everyone.

The wobbly effect will also hinder the edge alignment, ironically making it harder to properly cut something. The fact he could make such clean cuts with such a blade is a testament to Oetsu's incredible skill in zanjutsu.
It being too sharp doesn't actually help it because it's the user's spiritual pressure that decides whether or not you can injure someone. It wouldn't be nearly as lethal in the hands of Soi-Fon or Yoruichi.
The only reason Kenpachi lost here is plot and his stupidity. If he attack in Shikai Pernida will get destroyed. Reitsu different is huge

Mayuri has always been a badass, this episode confirms that he would almost certainly defeat Kenpachi if it came to it. In TYBW he got all the love and if you look at the current roster of gotei 13 he is easily top 3 and you could maybe even make an argument that he is actually the strongest current captain.
We saw the left arm going to the Quincy l king. On the anime flashback which was not included in the manga where ichibei met with Ywhach, Ywhach grabbed the monks hand and a hand appeared from Ichibei that Ywhach afterwards absorbed. That was the left arm
About the lost of arm, it is right, Yhwach said it to Yamamoto that why Yhwach didn't include Yamamoto in the special war threats and we watched it with Grimmjow too, when he was removed of the espadas because Tousen amputed his arm.

In the fashback of EP 24 Yhwach tried to take the left arm away from Ichibe but in exchange Ichibe used it to seal Yhwach Almighty, this is why yhwach didn´t have it in the war vs the OG Gotei 13 a thousand years ago.
The left arm controls advancement, so by being with Yhwach for so long he evolved and thinks he´s a Quincy, also it evolves during the fight, for now it started as a baby/kid, evolved into the point he can speak a bit and will continue to evolve his inteligence as the fight progresses

- Zaraki’s defeat is a proper indicator of the type of battle that is about to ensue, one that cannot be fought with simple power or might, a battle perfectly suited to a mad scientist.
- The Left Hand governs “progress” or “evolution” and we saw that Ichibei used the left hand to seal away Ywach’s “Almighty”. Interestingly, it seems that the left hand (maybe through its ability to evolve) gained sentience and at some point sided with Yhwach and took on the name Pernida. Another point of interest is that Pernida was seemingly chained up, but we don’t know who did it or why.
- As we all know Mayuri is a true scientist through and through and loves it in the way Kenpachi loves battle, so witnessing a foe who can evolve is an unbelievable dream come true. It’s such a high for Mayuri that he’s acting like a beast or fiend, expressing the same behavior that he often spoke down on.
(As said by Mr.Tommo, “Mayuri islosing himself, growing closer to danger, and like Icarus flying too close to the sun” which is fitting given the whole sun outfit he was sporting)

You missed something in the first scene. The sniper was looking down his scope at Renji and Uryuu during their fight. He was about to snipe somebody (Uryuu if he failed to fight Renji, or Renji if he was going to beat Uryuu).
Also, Mayuri is amazing, and his bankai lets him create a perfect counter for a specific threat based on info he gathers on them. Even still, he isn't screwing with Urahara, as his bankai is absolute nightmare fuel, even by Mayuri's standard. The proper counter to it is simply not to fight Urahara.

The release of spiritual pressure is through hands, so if you lose an arm, you'd be like 50% nerfed. Yhwach is the one that confirmed this when he defeated Yamamoto. Also, Ichibei used the Soul King's left arm to seal Yhwach's Almighty in the flashback in Cour 2. That's how Yhwach got the left arm. These Soul King body parts have become sentient on their own. They are no longer under Soul King's control.
I am pretty sure those two rings that mayuri threw were once either soul reapers or something else alive and he just did some really horrible experiments to convert them into those. And the way he basically tortures his bankai spirit is just insanity..
To answer yr question on why soul kings arm is wirking for Yayach (or however u spell his name)..go back to the flashback episode of Yawach at the oeace table with Ichibe (im bad with the names). When Ichibe went against Yawach, Ochibr was the one wjo had soul kings arm...but gave it up qhen Yawach attacked him....simce then.Yawach had aleays had the arm that is Pernida
lol I don’t know if I have an inner mayuri in me or not but I found it hilarious how kenpanchi was getting all contorted and he still kept coming forward knowing the risk 😂. lol Kenny is one of my favorites btw 😂. He was a necessary sacrifice. Anyone else would have died. Kenpachi is the most durable captain also
One thing you always realise with mayuri. Facing him in a battle is literal torture.

@@randomguywhohasnothing And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Him spamming Bankai makes sense because it's a direct power boost with little consequence. It grants him regeneration, flight, stronger abilities and power, and stronger control over the weather. It literally makes no sense for him to not spam his Bankai. I've never understood the problem with him spamming it.

This especially with Bleach as rn the atmosphere are so dark af I can barely watch anything but when Mayuri on screen, I literally got flashbanged
