I like how a mature Vader feels regal and strong, which are traits that Dooku also showed. So in a sense, the hotheaded boy Dooku hated, ended up being a similar tool for Sidious with a similar presence amongst officers and politicians. Elegant but making others afraid from his presence.

You obviously didn't watch the prequels if you think these 3 are the main villains. They're tools, henchmen used by the main villain. Now, you can call Vader the main villain of Episode 4 and 5, because Sheevy is only there for one scene. And Vader is the one killing people left and right, throughout both movies. But you can also say that Sheevy is the main villain in all movies, since he's the one pulling the strings. I can keep going, Maul says something like 10 words in the entire movie and it's made clear from the start that he's not calling any shots. Dooku is a stronger case but even he is shown to be taking orders by the end of Episode 2. And Grievous only survives half of Episode 3, at which point the main villain shows the hand he's been sitting on this whole time.
@@Sandlund93 Uhh have you watched any of the clone wars tv show, rebels, bad batch? Everyone knows Palpatine pulled all the strings that’s the over arching plot.
@@Darth_Arashi Yup, I watched all of Filoniverse. And I'm not a fan. I am looking forward to Andor S2 though, so it's not an issue with Disney or anything. I must admit though that your response is a bit confusing. What's your point? And if you know Sheevy is the main villain, why call his henchmen main villains?
@@Sandlund93Saying that Maul Dooku and Grievous can't be main villains because Palps exists is like saying Saruman and Smaug can't be main villains because Sauron exists. There can be multiple "main" villains.
@@chloeprice9649 I mean that's fair enough. If you isolate the movies, there is certainly such an argument. Even more so with Smaug, because he was a completely free agent. @Darth_Arashi he had a good combination of Juyo (Ventress form super athletic and aggressive) and Shien/Djem So (Anakin form precision and power)(Jedi version Shien is more defensive minded.) So while he was incredibly athletic and fought to overpower his opponents through pure aggression and strength, he was also great at countering opponent's attacks and turning into his own offense. Very rarely did Maul come across an opponent he had to really try and stay on defense, he was very powerful and skilled. Kenobi and Sidious were rlly the only 2 he couldn't crack, Palpatine with his mastery of the force was just too fast and skilled for Maul who never quite saw his true potential, and Kenobi after fighting Maul multiple times became a defensive master of Soresu, and could hold back all the aggression Maul had due to intense training with Anakin over the years. He was the one Jedi that could hold Maul's aggression off and find weaknesses. Maul was a lot like Anakin in the fact that he fought with arrogance and didn't think enough to fight anybody in a more calm state of mind. Maul even knew how to create force lightning, but he didn't like to use it because he preferred to physically beat his opponents and was molded into a true warrior, despite being a dark side prodigy that maybe even had more potential with Sith alchemy than Sidious did. But at the end of the day, Sidious feared his apprentices' overthrowing him and never taught any of them more than he needed them to know.

Maul - anger
