@@Ariaelyne This is exactly the single biggest mistake Disney made with their trilogy. There were a number of issues with the films that we could debate, but the single BIGGEST mistake is that they did not have the three movies planned out beforehand. The opening scene of episode III with the battle in space was the best opening in star wars history. A montage would be extremely atypical for star wars, these movies have always been very linear and have never resorted to timeskips or montages or flashbacks.

Lucas had too much plot to cover and too little time in the movies. A lot of important dialogue was cut from Attack of the Clones as well that helped to flesh out the characters more. Phantom Menace should have been a stand alone movie, Attack of the Clones should have been the first movie in the Trilogy, Clone Wars the second, and Third still being Revenge. This would have given them more time to flesh out the clone wars and all the important charcters.

The CGI in those scenes could probably be redone, such as the backgrounds, droids shooting at them and the audio could be edited to fit right into the film these days.
Further context for these deleted scenes: there was another deleted scene of Shaak Ti's death and it was supposed to be during Operation Knigthfall at the hands of Vader but that got deleted as well and that deleted scene was eventually referenced in the Mortis arc in TCW when Anakin has the vision of the future. Shaak Ti's death would eventually be seen in The Force Unleashed (2008) which is EU/Legends and TCW is both EU/Legends and canon and that's another can of worms I don't want to open right now. While her first death is obviously non-canonical, the part of the scene where Anakin and Obi-Wan go swimming is present in the ROTS video-game. There's a whole section of the game dedicated to them in the tunnels with water inside the Invisible Hand. There are deleted scenes from the film concerning the Delegation Of 2000, which is the beginning of the Alliance To Restore The Republic (Rebel Alliance) which I think are great scenes but they were unfortunately deleted, but you can see them in the novel. Plus other deleted scenes are both in the novelization and comic books. Another interesting cut concept from the film is how initially Anakin was already at Palpatine's office when Mace and the gang went there to arrest Palpatine and Palpatine grabbed Anakin's sabre, that's why in a few shots you see him handling Anakin's sabre. In the ROTS game Anakin also duels Mace. In the Mustafar duel in a few shots you see Anakin and Obi-Wan using eachtother's sabres because there was a deleted moment in the duel in which they grabbed eachother's sabres. Quinlan Vos is referenced in Episode III in dialogue, he was supposed to appear in the film and you can see this in the animatics for Order 66. His apparent death is depicted in that animatic, the comic adaptation and the Republic comics, but in the Republic comics it also shows how he survived. There's other behind the scenes stuff about deleted scenes and abandoned concepts from the final cut of the film that are present in other works from the ROTS tie-in material and Clone Wars multimedia project but this text is already too long.

I think this sounds awful; cutting it all was a good decision. Episode 3’s opening is the best bit of all Star Wars for me, because it establishes so much about the universe so quickly- you pan down and you see the sun setting over this imposing ship that’s defending the Republic, but which is clearly going to become a Star Destroyer. What’s supposed to keep them safe is threatening instead! Then you pan further and there are, billions of this thing whose size and mass you already felt, actively engaged in battle! And the fight goes along the surface and swoops into space, and all of a sudden you’re in the OG Star Wars, and you understand it’s already here, in the movie. The music is imposing and also mournful; we’re literally and metaphorically on the boundary between the trilogies. All this is established in seconds, with no words, without an assumption that the millions of people watching will care about any of the stuff that got cut. It’s a scene by someone who understands how movies work and how to appeal to people who you need to win over, not something that assumes the audience is invested. I think anyone making movies should be actively studying it, not replacing it with this sort of thing.
Thise deleted scenes are actually featured in the revenge of the sith game that came back in the days for ps2 and xbox as playable stages mixed with clips from the deleted scenes as it was with the rest of the movie.
The opening scene for revenge of the sith was supposed to be a battle 10 x the scale of geonosis going from ground to space, ultimately it's said George lucas shot down most of these ideas, 'he wanted to stay on budget for this movie, so we got what we got fellas

Someone get this to Sunday Jeff, he really loved episode 3 plus them mocking 'roger roger' should help ease the sting of episode 1 as the r&r was the moment he knew things were not going to be as expected......
With grievous getting his chest crushed, it makes me think that that wasn’t the first time they attacked Coruscant, since griveous coughs throughout the clone wars
One small thing, you said the reason Grevious sounds like he has a bad case of covid is incorrect. He actually soundede super sick 24/7 due to the fact that when he was being built by dooku and sidious they couldnt make him force sensitive and didnt want him to end up overthrowing them, they decided to give him literal asthma. Its canon.
People seem to be hating on Disney in this comments section for something they aren't responsible for (aka cutting out scenes from ROTS). While Disney has had made many bad decisions for star wars, it's very silly to blame Disney for cutting out these cringe deleted scenes when it was literally George Lucas who decided to cut them out and release ROTS as is (and I personally believe George made the right decision removing these awful scenes). Why is this comments section full of ignorance? Also, a lot of these cuts are BLOOPERS. NOT necessarily deleted scenes that were meant to be in the movie. This entire video is full of very misleading information which is likely why your video(s) get a lot of hate and is probably also why your videos tend to get taken down. Why are you even saying that ROTS was supposed to open up with scenes from 2003 clone wars? This is clearly wrong because 2003 clone wars was in production before these scenes were supposedly even made for ROTS. George was well aware of everything that went on in production and would NOT have added nor planned redundant scenes like this to be in ROTS. This is genuinely misinformation at its finest. Please use your brain and think before putting out dumb content like this. Also saying that these cringe scenes are 10X better is an objectively false statement. If this is how the rest of your videos are, I don't blame 'Disney' for trying to take your videos down, it's well deserved in my opinion.
Grievous would never execute Shaak Ti since she was never captured. The 2003-2005 Clone Wars explains it. That's the canon Clone Wars, no matter what Disney says. That's the one that explains everything to the last detail and perfectly ties Episode II with III. Most of what you see in Episode III was first introduced in the 2003-2005 Clone Wars. The 2008-2020 Clone Wars is just fan service, not canon, doesn't make any sense.
Yes I love that animated style finishing things that Disney or Lucas film didn’t Like the extended mace windu vs palpatine fight when they fought his guards Id love to see that animated
I'm so glad we got four episodes of a Bad Batch teaser and four episodes of Ahsoka and the Martez sisters doing nothing instead of seeing the Battle of Coruscant in the final season of TCW. Such a great use of twelve episodes! Bravo Disney.
Thanks for all the videos, man! Don't let the mousecops scare you! IMHO you don't have to reanimate the hand drawn Clone Wars. I thought it very interesting that Grievous held Palp with one arm during the fight with Shaak.
Well part of the deleted scene with Shaak Ti's death that happened after that where Anakin & Obi-Wan go into the fuel tank that was adapted into the Revenge of the Sith video game.
Well the fan animated one looks good but I doubt a jedi master would be so easily defeated. Im sticking with the 2003 version until Disney and Filoni can wise up on depicting Grievous as someone worth respecting

@@a_agadir3964 yeah I wasn’t saying one was better than the other. I just meant timeline wise I think it’s always fit really well. Ik Star Wars TCW did retcon the 2003 one though.
Great effort
3:31 This two was so funny, pitty that Star wars are dead.
Video is still here, I think you'll survive without me
I would love to see Grevious and Mace Windu squaring off. Windu would not be afraid by the Cyborg at all.
I remember as a kid on spike tvs showing of ROTS the opening scene of the movie was Mace Windu and co accompanied by clone troopers to arrest Darth Sideous and then it shows him killing Saise Tin. Idk but it’s a vivid memory of the movie.
Its canon.
Yeah but before that explanation was this one, which is no longer canon
Great work 👍
i wish that deleted things happened, seeing grievous beat 3 jedis would've be so fucking cool.
"Why is this comments section full of ignorance?"
Welcome to the internet.
You do know that the episodes we did got were planned before the purchase.
For me the 2004 Clones Wars were the best, if only all the GCI one were designed with that animation style... ooohhh... 😗🤌
Yes I love that animated style finishing things that Disney or Lucas film didn’t
Like the extended mace windu vs palpatine fight when they fought his guards Id love to see that animated
Some of this banter would have been great to have.
Thank you
Well part of the deleted scene with Shaak Ti's death that happened after that where Anakin & Obi-Wan go into the fuel tank that was adapted into the Revenge of the Sith video game.
Well the fan animated one looks good but I doubt a jedi master would be so easily defeated.
Im sticking with the 2003 version until Disney and Filoni can wise up on depicting Grievous as someone worth respecting
These were great scenes.
I would you love to see an uncut version
I’m actually so depressed that there’s so much uncovered content from the clone wars at least canon wise
The Sidious vs Jedi council fight needs to be redone so badly.
