Tara, you’re also a beautiful and listening to your reactions to gifted Amira beautiful voice. I can’t imagine for a young girl to be counted a soprano. Loved Amira.
Tara, your reaction was educational and entertaining. Amira is an angel with a most-beautiful voice. I can't help tearing up watching her sing. As a 73 year old pianist, I've accompanied choirs and soloists, but no one like Amira. She is wonderful ❤ !!
I always new she was good, but didn't realize how many advanced techniques she uses at her age of nine. And of course this was just the beginning. Keep bring her performances to us.

Because except of the enthusiasm you bring up for this young lady, you also make us happy explaining us the techniques step by step very clearly and understandable. Thank you ever so much for that🥳🍀♥️Best wishes for you and your beloved family☺️
So many people say young people can’t sing opera because they’re voice is so young. But there always exceptions. You can tell she’s singing with ease. There’s no tension to straining. And she doesn’t do the classic thing that some children do where they push the larynx down to sound more mature. I think that’s where problems start

Amira has been my favorite singer for a long time. From the first time I watched her on Holland's got talent and fell in love with Amira as she came out on the stage and how confident and how she was enjoying herself and loved singing for everyone. I have enjoyed watching her grow and mature and have loved all her songs but I must say I have not enjoyed any one as much as I have enjoyed your expertise critiquing her and your knowledge in how you explained the things she was doing as she sang. The one thing I know she sings from her heart and how deeply she feels about what she is singing. She wanted to sing and listened to RUclips and found she loved Opera and listened and learned. She was very young when she started and is 18 now and still is as sweet and talented now . She was 9 when she won Hollands got Talent. I am so glad you found her and hope to see you soon listning and critiquing once again. You have a beautiful voice as well and am going to see if I can find you singing and will love to hear your beautiful voice in song. Thanks so much really enjoyed Tearesa

I was so happy to see you again with your hair arranged in that Russian style - thanks for that too. From Romania, with love …
An absolutely first class reaction Tara. It is so refreshing to listen to a Reactor that actually knows what they’re talking about & to explain to the viewers the finer points of the artist’s performance. First time listener & have immediately subscribed to your Chanel. I see you tend not to reply to the viewers comments, but am asking you to give at least a thumbs up if you intend to continue with future Amira reactions. There is one point that is often missed. That is that Amira is Dutch & this Aria is in Italian, so we have a ten y.o having to learn & understand the lyrics of a completely foreign language, & then to put so much passion into it is mind boggling. Cheers Graeme
I love love love all the very informative little technical details you give us about how Amira performs. Imagine a 10 year old having such great technique as you described. Thank you for a very good reaction!!
Thank you Tara for React to Amira's perform and your Comments describing her Vocal Technic was perfectly explained, thats why I wanted you hear her, I hope you React to more of her Songs cuz she is Amazing Stunning and Beautiful Sweet Girl, from Netherland BTW, not from Denmark..... Thank you again Tara and Congratulations for your Channel and for your Vocal Talent and all your Knowledge on Music.... You are an Amazing Singer 💕💕💕
I knew nothing about the physical mechanics of talented opera singers like Amera, until your VERY excellent professional analysis. Learning about the coordination between Conductor Andre and Amera made this video a whole lot more educational and enjoyable. Many Thanks Tara!
This is by a mile the best covering of Amira's talents I have seen so far. And yes, Maastricht in the very south of the Netherlands is so non-comparable to the rest of the country that it makes you wonder how it ended up there and maintained its uniqueness over the centuries. The Dutch sometimes refer to it as the Paris of the North, in my humble opinion it beats Paris in any regard. On one of her last interviews on Dutch TV (Gelderland) she claims it's actually not her singing, just being an instrument for some other force, which makes you wonder why Maria and Amira share the same syllables. She's said it before and sometimes its almost visible when she ends a song and returns to the "normal" young lady she is.
Thank you Tara for such an enthusiastic reaction to Amira... Truth is though, this is pretty much the universal reaction to hearing Amira for the first time! And, yes, this performance is spectacular! Amira is eighteen now (ten at the time of this performance) and recently graduated high school. This dear lady has continued to improve her singing all the way through and her technique and control is pretty flawless now! Many very informed people regard her as almost peerless, even at eighteen, in the world of the lyric soprano! Sounds crazy I know! Even for yourself, irrespective of posting videos, you owe it to yourself to watch the prodigious amount of material on RUclips documenting this young lady's progression. IMHO many of her performances throughout her teens stand as the new standard for those arias... Again it seems crazy to say this of someone so young! Yet, I believe that many of those performances will only be bettered by Amira herself when she revisits them periodically! In addition it is well worth discovering all you can about Amira when she is not singing! No spoilers here! You will discover that she is not only remarkable when on stage... I wish you many many happy and joyous hours discovering a truly rare individual: Amira Willighagen!
You need to watch (the full video, please) her debut performance on Holland's Got Talent (that she wins, by the way!) with this same song. Only later did she start taking classes... first she learned on her own by watching videos at home!!!! If I'm not mistaken, the interval between her debut and the performance with the wonderful Andre Rieu was only 6 months (in other words, she had still studied very little, officially speaking). She tells the jury that her brother was going to play the violin at church and she wanted to present something too. That's why she started watching music videos on RUclips, she really liked the opera performances and she started trying to imitate it at home, and she learned, but without any professional guidance, simple as that!! Absolutely incredible! A true gift!!! And she says that her dream was to sing with him, and people got in touch, sent him the video and he accepted!! Splendid!!!!!
Her audition was on August 31, 2013. It was not broadcast until October, 2013. The semi-final and final of HGT were in the last week of 2013. She got a recording contract with SONY in January 2014, and a vocal coach ( Maike ) and started working on her first album, which she recorded in February 2014. The Andre Rieu performance was on July 12, 2014, so you are mistaken. Hope this helps.
Tara, I loved this reaction with your excellent technical insights and your delight in Amira's excellence. Interestingly, to me at least, you are the first reactor (of the ones I have seen, and they are many) to note that in fact Andre was taking a lot of cues from Amira as he directed the orchestra. I thought that as well and am happy to have you prove me correct!🙂I am subscribing in hopes that you will give us more excellent Amira reactions soon. I'm sure that you will have lots of recommendations from other commenters so I won't bother for now.
I recommended this to you some time ago, I don't know if this video is based from that recommendation but I thank you for finally reacting to Amira. When you consider she is only about 10 or 11 years old when this video was made coupled with the fact that she is self taught, she taught herself to sing opera from youtube videos, her skill is astounding. Even if you don't make a video on it you need to go and watch the original audition on Holland's Got talent, there is a version out there with english subtitles, she absolutely blows the judges away and goes on to win that year.
I have enjoyed your reaction to this amazing girl multiple times. Sure wish you would do more of her beautiful career. I see you only got over 50,000 hits on this one🎉
Thank you it’s very good to here and understanding the teknik she has. Many who react to her talk about the teknik but never explain it, so again thank you.
Thank you Tara for such a great reaction to Amira who was only 10 years old here! I have subscribed in the HOPE that you do many more reactions to Amira who is now 18 years old, has just graduated High school so her voice is still maturing! Many thanks to her wonderful parents who made sure she had a normal childhood and teenage years while making sure she got the appropriate vocal training and raised her to be a wonderful caring person as well! Amira also sang this song at her HGT audition (before any singing lessons) amazing the judges, and went on to win singing Ave Marie and Nessun Dorma at only 9 years old. Those performances are truly amazing! My all time favourite is still Amira singing Ave Marie (Gomez) at 11 years singing in her local church, ruclips.net/video/n66udAMmCDM/видео.html There are many more and ALL are amazing!
Tara your voice is also very good. I am not an professional but I can hear that too. So on point and accurate. 👌 btw Amiras video is one of the best videos I ever saw.
Just so you know, when I used to play in my dad's band live, we had all kinds of visual queues we would give each other so that we could improvise certain things.
What a great reaction, and what a talent!! Tara, as an Aussie I would love it if you react to John Farnham's Help Live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra. What till you hear Australia's favourite best singer!!! Stay sweet.
Oops, I forgot to mention that I agree with other comments that her performance of ‘’Ave Maria by Gomez’’at the Canisius Church at age eleven is even more mind boggling. Cheers Graeme
Hi Tara love your reaction and would be very interested in hearing your reaction to Amira singing Ave Maria (Gomes) it is a recording that is done on a phone or camcorder in a church with all her family accompanying her (father on church organ, brother on violin and mother on recorder) apparently she sings this aria in Spanish also I recommend her singing “in the stars “ written in memory of her late grandmother and “Song to the moon” but the fact is this young woman has the ability to sing anything and has a big future ahead of her.
There is another video where Amira seems to deliver a piece with amazing control, it's the Ave Maria Gomez, which she sang in 2015, aged 11. Would love it if you could give it an assessment.
At this time Amira has not had any training....only when she relocated to South Africa she had vocal training...few years later....only "training" she had was watching original songs on RUclips
Such a beautiful voice! Loved the reaction! I think it would be fantastic if you would react to Everything All At Once live at st marks cathedral by SYML. Absolutely ethereal, and they don’t get the attention they deserve! Can’t wait for more reactions! ❤
I can’t sing a note; but I so love listening to those who can. I do love your Chanel more than most. I love that you are so enthusiastic about other singers. Thank you. X
Hi Tara and Thank you for all grate reaction videos! I just watched Emma Kok singing Voil’a and wow it was realy good. Can you please react to this live performance. All the best.
Amazing for one so young to know what she wants and goes for it with a real work ethic and be able to take on advice and actually do it. Probably being a winning cross country runner helped with her breathing too.
She learned to sing by watching people singing opera on RUclips. I think she was 7/8 when she turned up on Netherlands got talent (I think) or the voice or something of that ilk. She sang the same song there, she’d never sung in public before. I think I’m right in saying that when asked what she wanted to do when she grew up there was no mention of singing, I think she said she wanted to take part in the olympics
She did Hollands got talent about 6 months before this performance, when she was still 9. Andre gave her a little coaching, but he admits he is not a vocal coach, most of Amira''s skill was inate talent, and assiduously watching and copying opera singers on the Internet.
@@cmlarose50 Yes. She was a nationally ranked cross country runner in Holland at the age of 8. She was also competative after moving to South Africa. This may be part of the excplanation for her exceptional breath control.
Tara, I am Dutch and i'am very proud to Amira. She is fantastic. Her latest songs are even more beautiful. Another seggestion: Listen to Sissel Kyrkjebø ( with José Carreras When You Tell Me That You Love) Slow down with the Tabernacle Choire and much more other beautiful songs. She is brilliant!!
Shes 17 or 18 years old now and still unbelievable voice, check her out...from 10 to 18, as I said listen to opera on the radio at home and sounds like this...guess she might have taken listens later on but don't know, at 10 just sing opera listening to a radio...ready.
I believe that the comment by the Dutch Judge was correct, she IS an old soul. I believe that she's Maria Callas come back to us again. I only 🙏 that she has a MUCH happier life this time.
I am not a singer but a violinist andlistener to classical since 10 years old, but probably even earlier since my parents were classical/opera fanatics before my birth and I probably got a good dose even in the womb. That said, I went from Sutherland to Callas and lately have found Leyla Gencer, as great as Callas (I believe) but not much recognized (She was Turkish and did not have the media machine behind her, I gather.) What do you opera buffs out there know of her? Let me know. Also, Ms Tara, do you have an opinion about Leyla? I am seeing more and more videos on Leyla lately. I see no one even close to Di Stefano these days, but I am quite prejudiced as I view Di Stefano as one who sang as if the present song were going to be his last, I mean he seemed to spill his guts in almost every performance.
As a 56 year old man who started singing 2 years ago I love singing this. I needed to practice and learn the words better. But I have the range just NOT the techniques Beautiful music and vocals.
You should watch her Holland's Got Talent audition. You find out that she is self-taught by watching RUclips videos. She had no training until she did this concert.
To be precise: She was self-taught ONLY up to her audition on Holland's Got Talent (August 31, 2013). She had a "master class" with Andre Rieu in London on December 7, 2013; the semi-finals and finals of HGT were in the final week of 2013; She got a recording contract with SONY in January 2014 and a singing coach (Maike van der Weile) and recorded her first album in February 2014. Her performance with Andre Rieu was on July 11/12 2014.
You are talking about her great technique in this video, but at this time at had not have any singing lessons at all. It is self thought by watching RUclips videos. Even more amazing!
You're wrong! She had no lessons prior to her Audition for HGT on August 31, 2013. After that, she got a "Master class" with Andre on December 7, 2013. After her victory at HGT, she got a recording contract with SONY and a singing coach, Maike van der Weile, and set about recording her first album - she received the first disc on her 10th birthday (March 27, 2014). Her concert with Andre was on July 11/12, 2014.
Thanks, Tara. Hope you will continue with Amira. She was 10 at this time, 19 now. You might try another aria, Nessun Dorma (CIG 2017), or her school concert 2018.
Your reaction please refer to - REACTION: Amira Willighagen Flower Duet Live 2017 I believe Amira is 14 yrs old and it’s a duet with Laura Breton. There is another duet performance but with another performer, but of the two, I like this one best performing with Laura Breton.

Tara, I encourage you to react to her debut audition from Hollands Got Talent before she had vocal lessons.
I love love love all the very informative little technical details you give us about how Amira performs. Imagine a 10 year old having such great technique as you described. Thank you for a very good reaction!!
Not a dry eye in that audience, and rightfully so, she is incredible!
This was absolutely beautiful! This little girl is so gifted and focused on delivering an excellent performance.🎉🎊🎁
Thank u love! I appreciate u ❤️
Amira is absolutely fantastic she's an angel from God Amira wonderful
I knew nothing about the physical mechanics of talented opera singers like Amera, until your VERY excellent professional analysis. Learning about the coordination between Conductor Andre and Amera made this video a whole lot more educational and enjoyable. Many Thanks Tara!
Wonderful and very insightful review. Isn't Amira just amazing? 10 years old with such technique.
A great overall reaction! She's got a bright future ahead of her. Her voice is beautiful!
Stunning performance as always
She won Holland Got Talent at age 9. NO TRAINING. Sang along with RUclips videos.
A very nice reaction. Very knowledgeable, very technical, very understandable to one and all. Thanks for this.
OMG she is absolutely amazing love you're veidos
So gorgeous! Thank you
Thank you it’s very good to here and understanding the teknik she has. Many who react to her talk about the teknik but never explain it, so again thank you.
Your reaction is excellent !
Amazing that a 10 year old has such vocal maturity.
Agree 🤯
She had her lungs by already being a winning distance runner. Her smarts showed up by graduating High School recently as a Valedictorian.
My all time favourite is still Amira singing Ave Marie (Gomez) at 11 years singing in her local church, ruclips.net/video/n66udAMmCDM/видео.html
There are many more and ALL are amazing!
Stay sweet.
So many great tips, thank you!!
8:58 Look at this man's face. He's having the same experience that I do every time I listen to this performance.
Andre always gives concerts in Maastricht each year so you are welcome
Beautiful singer slot of God given talent
WOW I am so glad I fell into your reaction. I am so impressed by you, subscribed immediately....lol
Thank u Ken. Welcome to my Tarabyte family ❤️
She was 9 years old when winning Holland Got Talent. This was just a few months later, I believe she turned 10 years old by this time.
Such a beautiful voice! Loved the reaction! I think it would be fantastic if you would react to Everything All At Once live at st marks cathedral by SYML. Absolutely ethereal, and they don’t get the attention they deserve! Can’t wait for more reactions! ❤
Truly beautiful 😍
I can’t sing a note; but I so love listening to those who can. I do love your Chanel more than most. I love that you are so enthusiastic about other singers. Thank you. X
Hi Tara and Thank you for all grate reaction videos! I just watched Emma Kok singing Voil’a and wow it was realy good. Can you please react to this live performance. All the best.
Amazing for one so young to know what she wants and goes for it with a real work ethic and be able to take on advice and actually do it. Probably being a winning cross country runner helped with her breathing too.
And her brains graduated her from high school as a Valedictorian.
Wow!!!
She did Hollands got talent about 6 months before this performance, when she was still 9. Andre gave her a little coaching, but he admits he is not a vocal coach, most of Amira''s skill was inate talent, and assiduously watching and copying opera singers on the Internet.
@@andrewclayton4181 Wow!
Linzi, she did say she wanted to be a singer OR an Olympic athlete.
@@cmlarose50 Yes. She was a nationally ranked cross country runner in Holland at the age of 8. She was also competative after moving to South Africa. This may be part of the excplanation for her exceptional breath control.
Beautiful and if you know that she had never singing lessons before she won Holland got talent ................... fill in :)
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ beautiful ❤️❤️❤️
I absolutely love your reaction and input. What I would be very interested in is an explanation and example of the differences in sopranos.
She's 18 now, but yes she was 9 or 10 there.
True story god send angel to the world
She learned it listening to a radio at home, she got a gold buzzer in the voice Holland or Belgium....she amazed the audience then as sh
Shes 17 or 18 years old now and still unbelievable voice, check her out...from 10 to 18, as I said listen to opera on the radio at home and sounds like this...guess she might have taken listens later on but don't know, at 10 just sing opera listening to a radio...ready.
Ho, ho, that little girl sang better than professionals that train their entire life, lol, wonder how that feels, lol.
This was breathtaking . Tara, can you give a reaction on the new talent of Anfre Rieu , Emma Kok with the song Voila
Thank you for this react. Tara plsss react to Emma Kok and Andreu Reiu..Plsss very macht. Thank you ❤❤
She's actually self-taught at that point. At the moment She's 20 yo and did have additional training.
But I have the range just NOT the techniques
Beautiful music and vocals.
The one in 2017 Amira was 13 and it was with Corjea Bertha. It was a great performance
Amira has showed me a few things that I have been wrong about. Angels are not just in heaven and opera isn’t a really hard form of singing. It’s just child’s play. 😅
I've followed Amira for quite a while. I'm interested to see if you do too! I enjoyed your reaction and found it quite informative. 😎😎
