It’s all in the pattern. The tutorial is walking you through the steps after you have cut the pattern out and ready to sew. The pattern is great. Thank you. Looking forward to making this dress.
Could you possibly do a short video on the best way to move your pattern/material, when using a projector, if it doesn’t all fit in the frame. Thanks for all you do!!!
This video shows how I do that with the circle skirt. Cutting A Circle Skirt On The Projector. So Quick AND Easy!! ruclips.net/video/fB9HxKPZvLQ/видео.html
@@EllieandMacPatternsLLC It fits you very nicely… I checked the fabric shop, a dream, but I’m in Europe and I do not know an equivalent, in terms of choice and pricing.
@@EllieandMacPatternsLLC Thank you, I'll have a look at it. I'm in France, I know a good one in Netherlands for jerseys, but their collection is limited... otherwise there are many online shops but their pricing is limiting the wish of sewing here and then. Smaller market, higher pricing ;-) Have a good day!
How do you make it so the elastic doesn’t touch the skin? It’s so itchy. I did it in my Lakeisha which is lovely- but it irritates the skin. The clear elastic feels awful. Even if it looks good.
I sew it at the very edge of the fabric. Then when I serge the pieces together, I make sure the serge stitches covers the clear elastic. You could also think which way you will press your seam and sew it to the side that will be pressed against the wrong side of the fabric. I hope that helps.
This pattern has a separate bodice front piece for cup sizes A - F. There is no need for adjusting the bodice if you fall into one of those cup sizes. You choose the front bodice piece for your cup size, and then grade as you normally would. For example, I am a C cup, small bust, large waist and hip. I use the C Cup front bodice piece and grade from small at the bust to large at the waist. If your cup size is larger than an F cup, you would still need to preform an FBA. I hope that helps.
Other than quickly showing following a pattern dart, this video shows NO perfectly fitting or customising of cup size or placement in this dress pattern, nor giving any direction or suggestion on doing this. iI does not even advise if the pattern shows different cup sizes. Clearly this lady is not aware of large heavy busted, flat women etc, etc. Stretch fabric and a simple pattern dart do not make a perfectly fitting custom fit cup.
Hi! You can see images of all of our testers who tested the cup sizes on our website, on the pattern page. This shows you how it fits on different body types. The sizes go from A cup to F Cup. There is a separate bodice piece for each cup size. There is no need for adjusting the bodice if you fall into one of those cup sizes. If your cup size is larger than an F cup, you would still need to preform an FBA. I hope that helps.

Yes! That can be a struggle. I do have a list of fabric stores on my website that are in the UK.

Very pretty dress - did you say what type of fabric you used?
I used double brushed poly
I like to prep everything in advance
It makes the process so much faster!

Do you hem the flutter sleeve?
You can or you can leave the hem raw. We tried it both ways and it looks nice 😊
Where do you get your clear elastic? I bought some swim elastic but it is not the same.
I usually get it at bohofabrics.com or at wawak.com
Thanks
You’re welcome ☺️
Thank u
You’re welcome ☺️
I do one step at a time so I don't get confused. I tried it your way but ended up messing up.... Lol
That’s okay! It’s good to do it the way that’s best for you!
7:37 I love love your videos but this v neck neckline is just too fiddle for me, I tried twice , I’ll give it a rest maybe 3 times will do it😀
I hope it goes okay this time. Take it slow. I find it looks nice on, even if it doesn’t seem like it will.
How do I know what cup size I am?
Your bra size.
We include a chart in the tutorial that explains how to choose your cup size. We’ve added that in image form on the product page for the pattern.
