Correct me if I'm wrong, but I saw him in a different way. He intentionally tricked the Allied Forces and wasted their time trying to find his giant clam. It's only when Gaara managed to detect it that he took interest in Gaara (alone) and took the fight seriously. I couldn't make sense how those ninja managed to miss his giant clam somehow despite his precise instructions otherwise.
One of Gaara's finest moments in the series. He passed the Second Mizukage's test with flying colours, earning the Edo Tensei Kage's full respect. Add in how he defeated his father, a former Kazekage, Gaara showed everyone why he's the youngest person to ever become a Kage.
Now this was one of Gaara's best moments in Shippuden. He really took charge against most of the Edo Tensei Kage. Gaara is my favorite character in Naruto, so the first chunk of the 4th Great Ninja War arc was a real treat for me.

I hope kishi writes such things in Boruto . When it becomes impossible to beat the aliens with chakra and Jutsu, they should use the science of earth and destroy them .
