As an American I find it hard to understand that many Americans wonder why the British Anthem sounds like My Country Tis A Thee when their anthem came first. And these same people call themselves patriots. As Her Majesty The Queen just lost her husband God Save the Queen.
What my ancestors did not understand, although they were European yet long anchored in South Africa, is that if you're conquered - there is no resistance. Our people resisted and met at the end of bayonets and the outcomes of several hundred Concentration Camps. We were utterly annihilated, our numbers decimated and a sabre was effectively stuck through the very heart of our nation. No matter if EVERY European country was on our side. We won at first, but when you started burning our farms, crops, livestock, farm houses as well as WOMEN AND CHILDREN, General Kitchener, Sir! We had no choice but to sing this despicable song. For the long torture and death of our women and Children, you SHALL pay. One of these many, many days.
yes we should have at the time, but now it may be wise to rejoin in some type of union. We could join a “personal union” with the King, and have some signing ceremony. That way it won’t be official, but it will be something of a declaration of loyalty to each other; provided they don’t attack us 😂

British Anthem with American accent. I love it too
With the british accent is better look at the one of Wesministerabbey on the queens 8th birthday
Probably Canadian accent
Shout out to guy who recorded this music since 1760
There were no recording devices back then

Also during the revolution, there was an unofficial anthem of the revolution called "God save our thirteen states" which is really nice
Very interesting, picture if the United States had been part of Great Britain today!
Yes, imagine it! Instead of Joe & da Ho we'd have her most gracious and benevolent Britannic Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

we should've stayed with the Crown of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
NGL, I wanna hear the full version of the ending piano version of, "God Save the King/Queen".
God Save George III Hannoversky
Yeah
@@roshanitiwari5946 yes
Very nicely performed.
I always th ought 'God save the King' became popular at the time of the '45 rebellion, ie 1745.
it did, it became the theme where the royal family was present
I really like the last one
All I hear is My country tis of thee
I’m part British
First play for king George 2nd in 1745
Actually it is still used in America. In fact it was played at President George HW Bush's funeral.
Arethra Franklin’s version at Obama’s inauguration is lovely….as is Kelly Clarkson’s at Obama’s second inauguration 👍🏻
That was "My Country, Tis of Thee". They're set to the same tune, but different lyrics.
We use the same melody but different lyrics
@@DailyGenshinRex Right. And right where the phrase “God save our King” we substitute these 4 syllables “Great God our King”
I think the crowing part of the arms should be that of a crowned lion holding that circular cockade thing, similar to the Canadian arms.
Where can I get the Anglo American coat of arms ass decal or bumper sticker?

I realize this is an awful trite observation, but those checkered chair coverings...like. What for? Biscuit crumbs at tea time?
Exactly dunking a biscuits in your daily British tea comes with some risks.
I was thinking that checkered cloth was the most practical at the time.
